"I 've been there Saturday evening and there were a lot of places which is not typical, usually you need to book a table in advance or wait. I first asked for beer and was waiting for about 10 min as I have said there were not so many people). Guess they just forget. Therefore I decided to take tortilla typical Spanish omelette with potato). The waiter asked me only tortilla which was impolite to my mind. Food was extremely dry, like only potato or cooked many days ago: . Below any expectations. Prices for tapas looks quit high as tapas should be something small and you usually need to take 3 4. If you take 4 tapas with price of 6 9 euros, it 's expensive to my mind. So I am not impressed of this place at all."

"Where can I start? This was my first visit to this restaurant with my girlfriend. It's one of her favourite places to eat so she wanted to show me it. The minute we got in nobody greeted us or gave us a table or even...a menu. We sat at the table for good 15 minutes. The music was so loud that we couldn't communicate. It's not usually something we are complaining about. But the couple next to us said the same. We complained 3 times without anything happening, nobody cleaning our table or giving us menu/ help. In the end we got so irritated that we choose to leave. We told the manager that we had asked them nicely with the music, no help or menu aswell. She simply didn't cared if we stayed or left. So we choose to leave. Disappointed and actually upset. We stood without any food or a place to spend our date night. Luckly Vapiano down the street took us in with open arms and good food."

"Today our first visit was spontaneous and all expectations were exceeded. We were kindly received at the entrance. The service was not only friendly, but also attentive. All our wishes were fulfilled immediately. Even our dog was supplied with water without request. The food was fresh and the portions sufficient. "My girlfriend and I only had one night in Dortmund and needed to stay quite central so we discovered Mama Mia and we were so impressed! We thought it was weird at first as when we went it was quite late and dark and it's...quite well hidden but don't let that fool you! The staff are so friendly, even the non-fluent English members tried their best to speak to us! Food is also cheap, it seems rather up market and posh but the food is great quality and I would've happily paid more for it! We got a funghi pizza and the Norma pasta and it was so good! We swapped half way through our meals just to try both options! Great place, would love to return if in Dortmund again!"

"When I first read the name Dean David, I thought of a hairdresser or a boutique without prejudice. Then I realized that I had read a review of a branch in another city in Golocal and decided to try the locals. There is an outdoor seating area with large parasols (through cold and rain, but just closed and a large indoor area with very functional, cool furniture and for my terms unpleasantly damped light, which makes it difficult to read the offer on the large plates behind the counter. There are enough menus on the tables. It is very important that the food is freshly prepared so that you need to be prepared for a small waiting period. You pay after the order at the counter and get a pager that lights up and vibrates as soon as the food is ready. The ingredients for salads in two different sizes can be chosen, the price depends on the amount of ingredients (fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, various dressings are available. You can also offer some curry dishes, soups, wraps and sandwiches. There are coffee, tea, freshly prepared juices and smoothies (what is the German term for it?). All this happens with a tray on the counter, after eating the tray with dishes is provided in a shelf for it. All drinks and dishes are also available for takeaway. During my visit I ate a Shinny Chicken (Curry dish with chicken, vegetables, jasmine rice and almonds for 7.95€. The part was so big that I didn't eat everything, the taste was excellent. I didn't find the restaurant, which was probably due to the fact that there was only one guest outside of me, and then three came to it, but they just wanted to go. The company also offers catering for events, for more information you should visit the homepage. Despite the good food, Dean David is not one of my most important restaurants."

"I arrived on Friday evening at the Hauptbahnhof and found this lovely place to get a beer. The food looked great. Came back with my partner on Sunday evening, much quieter venue, a lot less staff. Ordered Cuba libres that were filled with more...lime than ice cubes Asked for less lime on the second but hardly noticed the difference. Ordered food.. Stuffed mushrooms, potato skins, pulled pork burrito, sweet potato fries. All bar the potato skins was great. The picture below is a half cooked jacket potato masquerading as skins.. I was told “if you eat it, you pay for it” so it was returned.. and not shown on the receipt. Love the bar/restaurant, hate the Sunday night casual attitude. Our server, a young man, was great and only doing his job and wasn’t to blame for anything. Multilingual, kind and attentive."

The beverage and food offer is quite large. Alex is famous for brunch and breakfast at affordable prices and the so-called happy hour. It is therefore often difficult to get a place at peak times. I was lucky at my last visit and found a nice table on the window. At first I ordered a glass of Palatinate white wine (3,40€, at the food I had a hard choice, but then on a special card I saw the offer of roast potatoes with egg (5,90€ , which looked really tempting. When the food was served, unfortunately it wasn't exactly the picture from the appearance, but I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. As already said, the menu is quite extensive, which can be easily persuaded by the information, and at a quieter time Alex is highly recommended."
