"Wir waren zu Zweit an einem Donnerstag Abend da. Außer uns noch 11 Gäste. Sorry lieber Betreiber, aber Sie und Ihre Gattin machten bereits mit den wenigen Gästen einen völlig überforderten Eindruck. Der Service durch die Dame des Hauses war schleppend und wenig motiviert. Die Vorspeisen, eine Suppe und ein Wurstsalat, kamen erst nach einer 3/4 Stunde. Beides war schmackhaft. Aber es war nicht die Suppe die ich bestellt hatte! Die Hauptgerichte, Rösti mit Rinderfilet und Spätzle mit Schweinefilet, ließen dann abermals 45 Minuten auf sich warten. Das Filet war leider auf beiden Tellern übergart (vielleicht macht man das in der Schweiz so?? und die Spätzle präsentierten sich als undefinierbare angebratene Klumpen. Zwischzeitlich hatte ich ein Glas trockenen, leichten Weißwein geordert und dem Service die Auswahl überlassen. Ein Fehler! Serviert wurde mir eine Weißweinschorle mit den Worten, sie habe extra einen kräftigen schweren Wein gewählt weil der gut zum Essen passen würde. In jedem normal geführten Lokal hätten wir reklamiert. Hier waren wir froh nach langer Wartezeit überhaupt mit Speisen und Getränken versorgt worden zu sein. Ein in meinen Augen absolutes Unding war die Rechnung, mit deren Präsentation uns mitgeteilt wurde dass man ab heute 10 Ernergiepauschale auf alle Preise erheben würde. Leider stand davon nichts auf oder in der Karte oder sonstwo im Gastraum. Begründet wurde die Teuerung mit den gestiegenen Kosten (klar und nachvollziehbar und dem Unwillen neue Karten zu drucken. Liebe Gastgeber, das geht gar nicht und ist, mal davon ab, rechtlich nich haltbar. Fazit: wer mit mittelmäßig gekochter und präsentierter Hausmannskost, im fragwürdigen Ambiente, bei unaufmerksamen Service, zu durchaus mittelklassigen Preisen zufrieden ist, der ist hier gut aufgehoben. "Wir suchten nach den Weihnachtstagen ein schönes griechisches Restaurant und wurden hier in diesem kleinen aber um so feineren Familienrestaurant fündig. Bei Zorbas stimmt einfach alles. Das Gyros ist für mich das leckerste, das ich jemals gegessen habe. Alle Fleischspeisen waren von hervorragender Qualität ohne Fett oder Sehnen. Der Tzatziki ist ein Traum. Dazu noch ein super netter Besitzer, der stets für die Zufriedenheit seiner Gäste sorgt. Nebenan betreibt die Familie eine Taverne mit Stehtischen und Gerichten zur Mitnahme. Bitte unterstützt dieses Restaurant in der Corona zeit. Es wäre schade, diese kulinarische Qualität zu verlieren."

"Am 11. Mai2024 waren wir mal wieder im Golden Horn.; ein ansprechend modern eingerichtetes Restaurant mit erstklassigem, aufmerksamen Service. Da die Portionen dort immer reichlich bemessen sind, haben wir auf Vorspeisen verzichtet. Ich hatte Lammrücken, mit einer mediterranen Rotwein Sauce dazu Rosmarinkartoffeln und Bohnen (28,90 € : sehr gut gegrilltes, zartes Fleisch mit rosigem Kern und einer sehr delikaten Rotwein Sauce, von der auch nichts auf dem Teller übrig blieb. Die Rosmarinkartoffeln waren frisch zubereitet. Das habe ich schon in einem italienischen Restaurant anders erlebt, dort bekam ich aufgewärmte Kartoffeln, die ja längst nicht mehr so gut schmecken wie frische. Mein Mann hatte sich für das Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalbsrücken, mit Wildpreiselbeeren dazu Pommes und Beilagensalat entschieden (24,90 € und ich durfte das Schnitzel probieren: schmackhaft, in Butterschmalz gebraten richtig lecker. Der Beilagensalat hat es leider nicht auf das Foto geschafft. Nach dem Essen durften wir noch jeder einen Absacker wählen: ich nahm Limoncello und mein Mann einen Ouzo. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis empfinde ich als sehr fair, die Portionen sind gut bemessen, die Qualität spricht für sich und der Servicemitarbeiter war wirklich sehr freundlich und aufmerksam."

"Kürzlich hatte ich eine unerfreuliche Erfahrung in einem Restaurant. Der Pizzateig war unangenehm hart, die Qualität der Zutaten ließ zu wünschen übrig, und es schien, als seien sie bereits abgestanden. Das Geschmackserlebnis der Pizza war enttäuschend, und zudem dauerte es sehr lange, bis sie serviert wurde, fast schon verbrannt. Neben der vorherigen Enttäuschung mit der Pizza möchte ich auch auf die Lasagne hinweisen. Die Nudeln wirkten entweder übergekocht oder als wären sie seit einer Woche vorgekocht gewesen. Die Tomatensauce verströmte einen unangenehmen Geruch, und die Champignons schienen direkt aus der Dose zu kommen. Die gesamte Erfahrung vermittelte eher den Eindruck einer Amateurküche als die eines professionellen Restaurants. Die Mitarbeiter waren leider nicht freundlich, und abgesehen von den Getränken war nichts zufriedenstellend."

"Hier musst du auf jeden Fall reservieren. Wer deftige Küche mag ist hier genau richtig. Das Essen war köstlich. Habe das erste Mal OCHSENBÄCKCHEN gegessen. So zartes und leckeres Fleisch. Dazu haben wir Grauburgunder getrunken. Auch zu empfehlen. Die Speisekarte ist klein und übersichtlich ....Was ich persönlich gut finde. Ich bin immer etwas überfordert wenn ich so eine Riesen Speisekarte vor mir habe. Das Lokal hat eine offene Küche. Aber auch das war kein Problem. Sollten wir das nächste Mal zu einer Ausstellung gehen kommen wir gerne wieder in dieses schöne und gemütliche Restaurant mit sehr freundlichen Personal. Wir waren erst auf der Ausstellung in Dortmund und haben 3 Wochen vorher reserviert. Parkplätze etwas schwierig. Also frühzeitig losfahren. Bei der 2. Runde dann endlich einen Parkplatz gefunden."

"My husband and me are what one might call part of the inventory. We come here at least twice a week. Not because we can't cook, but why cook if you can get the best quality Italian food every time no matter when. Now we...are not talking pizza and standardised macaroni, we are talking freshness, deliciousness and a family lime atmosphere. It is a bit of a family business and it really out does a lot of the other restaurants in Dortmund. We absolutely love the Saltimboca alla Romana and the fresh pasta with the fresh truffle sauce. It is never too salty and never boring. Tryvalso the pulpo carpaccio. The seasoning is superb. Absolutely love the idea with a slight addition of bio orange zest and the red pepper on top. Gives it all an entirely new fresh, summery flavour. Their wines are superb and always match every meal. In the summer they have a lovely small terrace outside where one can enjoy a perfectly well tempered glass of white wine (the list would be too long) or a mellow red or whatever else one desires. Am I going too far? No, I don't think so. We are just so happy and satisfied that Emilio simply deserves to be praised like this. I certainly have better things to do than to write reviews. Unfortunately we also had quite the opposite experience in this city. Believe me! Took us years to finally find a place worth spending money on. Don't believe me? Well try it yourself."
