"Decided last minute after the cinema to go to Prezzo for dinner -just myself and my daughter They had plenty of tables although you would have thought I’d rocked up at about mins before closing with a party of ten by the surly eye...roll I got from the waitress. The chicken pasta dish I ordered had a fairly large (perhaps an inch long) chicken bone in it which I didn’t notice until it was in my mouth. I discretely told the waitress to be told, that it’s to be expected as chicken has bones. I’m aware chicken has bones and cows do too but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t expect to find bones in a spag Bol either!! Again more rolling eyes but (despite the fact they didn’t bring round Parmesan or the pepper grinder which is half the fun of eating out in an Italian) the food tasted good so I let that pass. Then I ordered tiramisu and it came frozen .. I’d handed back my menu so wasn’t sure if I’d missed something maybe this was a special sort of ice-cream tiramisu I ate it so as not to be fussy and it tasted ok but it wasn’t that great ?? When the waiter collected the plates I asked if I’d missed something and was it supposed to be frozen he looked blank and after about ten mins the surly girl comes over with the bill and did apologise (it wasn’t the most heartfelt apology) and removed the tiramisu from the bill as though she was doing some huge favour errrrrr I have just eaten Un-defrosted cream !!! I at this point decided to make no fuss just cut my losses and make a note not to eat there again- and not to tip. Sad really as the food tasted ok but the staff didn’t look like they wanted to be there and these little touches meant that I won’t go back."

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Gateway Table Table, a restaurant that offers a delightful selection of vegan and gluten-free options, including their exceptional vegan gluten-free English breakfast. I must say, it was a truly enjoyable experience. As someone who follows a vegan and gluten-free diet, finding a restaurant that caters to my dietary needs can sometimes be a challenge. However, The Gateway Table Table exceeded my expectations. The vegan gluten-free English breakfast they served was delicious and satisfying. Each component of the breakfast was thoughtfully prepared, from the perfectly seasoned vegan sausages to the flavorful grilled mushrooms and crispy hash browns. It was evident that great care was taken in ensuring that every element was not only gluten-free but also bursting with flavor. The customer service at The Gateway Table Table was also commendable. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making me feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout my visit. They were accommodating and willing to address any questions or special requests, further enhancing the overall dining experience. What made my visit even more delightful was the fact that my 5-year-old son could enjoy a full English breakfast and eat for free. It's heartening to see a restaurant that values and caters to families, making dining out an affordable and enjoyable experience for parents with young children. In summary, The Gateway Table Table is a gem for individuals seeking vegan and gluten-free options. Their vegan gluten-free English breakfast was both delicious and satisfying, and the customer service was top-notch. The added benefit of complimentary meals for young children is a thoughtful touch that sets this restaurant apart. I highly recommend visiting The Gateway Table Table for a memorable dining experience."

"This was our first visit to Bishopstoke Toby Carvery. We were out of area as we were on a day trip and it was my birthday. I had booked a table for 4 of us in advance for 2pm. When we arrived there was nobody around to greet us. No apologyfrom staff when they did acknowledge us, we just got seated to a table. When i booked this I did ask for a table with a nice view but we were given a table by a fire exit and squashed between other tables. Once the waitress took our order, she didn't tell us where the refills were so we had to locate this ourselves, which someone else who was visiting showed us as there were no staff around to ask. The ice machine was not working, there was no sign, just a bucket of melted ice. We then went to join the Carvery queue where we waited for 20 minutes to be served (only 1 chef serving) the vegetables looked dry and some of the food was luke warm. After our main, we then had to get the attention of the waitress and asked for 2 puddings. We waited for 15 minutes and still no puddings. I went up and asked the waitress and she said it would be another 10 minutes, I was a little shocked to hear this as we ordered cold puddings. I explained to the waitress about my disappointing experience with them, then another waitress intervened and said they were short staffed and there was nothing they could do. I appreciate being short staffed but very disappointed by the lack of customer service and not great value for money. No offer to compensate or sincere apology. A very disappointing experience."

"When we checked in too our room at the Premier Inn in which this restaurant is located, we were welcomed to dine at the Thyme Bar Grill restaurant but were not notified of the need to reserve a table. We arrived downstairs for 7 o'clock, and were told there would be no table for us until 8:45. We took the available reservation for that time, and decided to spend that hour and 45 minutes in the bar. We were sat at the closest table to the entrance from the bar to the restaurant and saw very few people enter or leave on this time period, yet they claimed to be entirely reserved in this time. When we were finally sat, we saw that there were more empty tables in the restaurant that filled tables (which were not filled in the entire time that we were there). We were seated at one of the three booths in the back, and the booths either side of us had been seated already. It took us until half past 9 to be served, meanwhile the table for six near us had been approached 7 different times and received multiple plates of food. The tables either side of us had been seated for longer than us and was too only served at this time. It then took a further 50 minutes from order to receive our food, even though as ordered only starters and a child's meal. The restaurant was set to close at 10:30pm, and yet we were served at 10:10 after waiting for a table since 7pm. The food, while quite nice, was not worth waiting over 3 hours with a starving and upset 4 year old, an annoyed and tired teenager, and the man who has driven for 6 hours to this hotel. Extremely understaffed, under qualified and abysmal experience despite adequate food."
