"the best service there is, eating is mega! tasty and it is a very cozy atmosphere. even if all the tables are occupied, it is not unpleasant and the staff acts 0 emphasizes and immediately pays attention to everything. the environment is super decorated in Asian style and also the drinks are awesome, especially the homemade mongonades. I've been there since I'm small and my family and I come several times a year. Eating and personally is never left behind as it is in many other restaurants. overall very recommended!"

"Sunday lunch and I really wanted to like Tablo as a big fan of Turkish food but unfortunately it was a really average meal and very expensive for what was received. Mezze platter was not very good lots of oily vegetables or deep fried...items that were not very tasty. Kebab was just ok but a bit boring sitting on a bed of eggplant with rice and a rather bland sauce. This along with 2 glasses of wine for 65 EURO was a very expensive meal. Only postive was the service which was attentive and friendly. I cannot really recommend it and would not visit again."

"Kann mich leider nicht an eine schlechtere Pizza erinnern. bin vorbeigefahren, musste noch was erledigen und habe dann für zuhause bestellt. Abgeholt und war bis dato alles super. Man hat sogar weniger als eine Minute später angerufen. Als ich ankam, wirkte es überraschend ruhig für einen Freitag. Holte die Pizza ab und habe dann zufällig mal auf die Bewertung geschaut. 3,noch was….ups. Habe dann gleich im Auto mal geschaut. Pizza war wabbelig weich. Nicht gebacken, der Teig war noch zu fühlen. Drei Minuten länger hätte das Bild total anders aussehen lassen. Die Tomaten waren nur erhitzt. Sorry, entweder gebt ihr der Pizza nicht genug Zeit, oder der Ofen ist kaputt. Habe die Pizza nach einem Stück nun in den Mülleimer geworfen, ist zu peinlich dies meiner Familie vorzulegen. bei der Performance kann ich nur sagen: vielleicht einfach vorher mal drauf schauen und einmal drücken. Komme leider nicht wieder."

"I have been to Arabesque several times, and I am always left impressed. They offer top quality cuisines and variety is impressive. They offer a nice patio area that offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Be aware that on weekends it is normally required to...have a reservation because it is busy. One can tell the dishes are prepared fresh by the flavors and one should not come to Arabesque in a rush. The lunch menu offers a more limited menu that allows for a quick(er) meal. "On our way back to Netherlands from Autria we stopped in Essen to grab a bite to eat. Since Cavos was valued a very good in Tripadvisory we decided to try the restaurant and are extremely happy we did so. Cavos is not a typical...Greek restaurant where you get gyros or a grill platter. Cavos serves fresh and tasty food on a higher level. The service was also perfect. The waiter spoke with passion and the chef eventually also stopped by our table which was a nice touch. For glasses of wine, starters, main courses and espresso and some waiter the bill was A little more than your typical german restaurant, but it is worth every penny"

"Aufgrund der hohen Bewertung, haben wir zum ersten Mal den Bonner Hof besucht. Der Emfang war sehr freundlich, das Ambiente aber eher mittelmäßig - wer es mag am Tisch in schumriger Beleuchtung die Speisen zu sich zu nehmen, mag es OK sein. Für uns leider viel zu dunkel. Die Speisekarte gab nicht besonders her, die offenen Weine mittelmäßig. Der kleine Gruß aus der Küche war schmackhaft, aber nicht besonders. Die Vorspeise, Gambas im kochenden Zustand in Gemüsebrühe mit Öl kam unerwartet schnell, bevor wir mit dem Gruß aus der Küche fertig waren. Zu dem hätte es eine Erklärung zu der sehr heißen, noch kochenden Vorspeise bedarft. Als Hauptspeise wurden Schweinebäckchen und Argentinisches Rumpsteak bestellt. Als Beilage gab es Meersalzkartöffelchen welche man mit Sicherheit wesentlich appetitlicher hinbekommen kann, der Spinat allerdings war ok was auch eigentlich keine Kunst ist.Die Sausen entsprachen keiner Profiküche, auffälligstes Merkmal war Salz.Auch die Fleischzubereitung sollte man nochmal verbessern. Wir waren letztendlich so enttäusch, das jedes Interesse am Dessert verloren war. Fazit, wir verstehen nicht das ein mittelmäßiges Restaurant eine so hohe Bewertung mit Anspruch auf gehobene Küche hat. Leider können wir dieses Restaurant für eine gehobene Küche nicht weiter empfehlen. Eventuell nutzen sie diese Kritik, als Anlass den jetzigen Zustand zu verbessern."

"It is set in an old coal mine but this made it a unique environment. The food was beautifully presented and the waiter was genuinely keen to make our stay enjoyable. They do a surprise menu where you let the waiter know things you do...or don 't like e.g. Fish and the chef makes a surprise for you. My husband really enjoyed his courses. I went for the listed menu and wished I 'd been braver as it made it more exciting not knowing what you were going to get. The bread was delicious and the menu was grown up and refined."

"Delicious Italian food. The prices are in the middle segment, fair and appropriate for the quality of the food. Stauder on tap and free rolls with spread and limonchello as a nightcap served with the meal. The waitress was very friendly and always there immediately when you were thinking about ordering something. Great, we ate there for the 7th time and everyone was completely satisfied. The atmosphere is ok, could be nicer and more comfortable. Standard seats and no proper separation from the adjacent tables."

"It 's funny but the Zweibar has a kind of cult status in Essen. I guess I can understand why, but in the end the experience of eating there is nothing so special. I have only been 3 times and always for brunch... this is what...the Zweibar is most famous for... those late breakfasts, or brunches. It is always dark inside; not dark and atmospheric, but rather dark and a little bit sombre... the dishes are slightly above average, the coffee is pretty good, the wait staff are friendly (but often a bit distracted and hard to track down), and so all in all it just doesn 't quite make it into the category of this is going to be one of my regular places . Having said that, it is a regular haunt for many people, and like I said, it almost has a kind of cult status here in Essen."

"We were there as party of four and had no reservation, on a nice sunday noon no problem. Zaziki as starter was wonderful, probably the bread could be warmed up, but thats only an idea. Main dishes from huge salad, gyros with fries to a combo of gyros and souvlaki, all was hot and very tasty! Acompanied by a demestica makes a good lunch, topped by the Ouzu by the patron. Finally, its a gem in downtown Essen, good food, nice staff always caring , a comprehensive menu except Sunday there is also Lunch Menu. We were there from time to time, it is there for over thirty years, and we were always satisfied. Happy to be there again..."
