"A very nice restaurant, in which under professional guidance young people who have not received a training place are integrated in kitchen and service. Everything very polite and committed. "Also das Personal war sehr freundlich kann man nicht anders sagen aber der Service geht gar nicht waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort was vorher reserviert wurde (also hätte man sich drauf einstellen können) 1.sehr sehr lange Wartezeit bis das Essen kommt wenn es dann mal kommt ist der erste schon fertig bis der letzte was hat.2.Teller wurden schon abgeräumt wenn andere am Tisch noch essen 3.weniger aufmerksam ob alle noch Getränke haben4.Man wartet schon über 40 Minuten auf das Essen dann kommt Bedienung und sagt dies und das ist nicht mehr vorhanden und muss umbestellen nach über 40 Minuten Wartezeit geht gar nicht5.Bedienung verschüttet mehrmals Getränke und das auch auf Hose des Kunden6.überbackenes Gyros musste man suchen haufenweise Käse und Soße kaum Fleisch 7. Steaks viel zu klein 8.Für ein griechisches Restaurant nur nachgemachter billig Ouzo9.Das Bier schmeckte sehr alt Positiv trotz erhöhten Lautstärkepegel und nach ca 4 Stunden trinken und angetrunken Kunden sind sie freundlich und locker damit umgegangen."

"Although the restaurant positions itself way above average Essen restaurant and attracts wealthy Germans, we were very disappointed during our visit in May. The service you'll get will feel like waiters give you huge favor. We had to ask for child seat, although it was...clear that yo baby cannot seat on its own. The waiter could not even put it close to the table and the mother had to ask for help. When the baby was loud, the waiter pretended he could not hear us. We got additional drinks that we did not order. Waiting time for the main course was longer than hours. The various fish dishes that we ordered were all very salty. Risotto is like eating pure salt. When we ask additional bread, waiter brought pieces for people!!! First and last time there."

"Das Tandori Haus liegt an der vielbefahrenen Friedrich-Ebert-Straße und sieht von außen unscheinbar aus. Auch von innen ist es nicht besser, die Einrichtung und die Atmosphäre stammen wohl eher aus den 80er und 90er Jahren. Wir wollten uns schon umdrehen, als uns der sehr freundliche Inhaber ansprach und einen Platz anbot. Wir haben es nicht bereut, geblieben zu sein! Der Inhaber erklärte uns seine Küche und Gerichte. Bei der Auswahl unserer Speisen unterstützte er uns, vor allem hinsichtlich der Gewürze und der Schärfe. Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte waren ordentlich angerichtet und schmeckten uns wirklich gut. Es waren für uns überwiegend unbekannte Geschmacksaromen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist wirklich gut. Der Inhaber und seine Tochter(? waren stets sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und höflich. Die Gastfreundschaft und die Freude an der Bewirtung seiner Gäste waren dem Inhaber förmlich anzusehen und zu spüren. Wir haben uns trotz der doch eher bescheidenen Einrichtung jederzeit wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Die einzige Toilette in diesem Lokal muss man allerdings nicht unbedingt aufsuchen. Bei unserem nächsten Städtetrip nach Essen kommen wir gerne wieder."

"Meine Mutter hat im Alten Stiftshaus mit 14 Gästen ihren 75. Geburtstag gefeiert. Für die Kinder gab es Pizza und für alle anderen gehobene italienische Küche. Wir waren rundum begeistert! Das Ambiente, die vorzüglichen, auf den Punkt zubereiteten exquisiten Speisen und der freundliche und sympathische Service haben dafür gesorgt, dass unsere Stimmung den ganzen Abend über wirklich allerbestens war. Wir wurden nach dem Essen auch nicht wie es in anderen Lokalen leider häufiger vorkommt „hinausgekehrt“ um die Tische frei zu machen, sondern konnten ganz entspannt den schönen Abend ausklingen lassen. Vielen Dank, dieser Geburtstag unserer Mutter im Alten Stiftshaus wird uns allen in schönster Erinnerung bleiben. Top Empfehlung, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!"

"One of the worst experiences in a asian food outlet. The staff is not friendly rather want to get rid of you as soon as possible, consider yourself lucky when someone comes to take your order after giving you the menu. The food is like...cleaning water as if the dishes didn't get dry before serving food in them. At banana leaf you can not even categorize it as from certain region of asia, it is non of malay, indonesian, thai, japanese or chinese cuisine. Seems like in the kitchen no one knows true taste of asian cousin. Total disappointment. Never again to banana leaf, there are far better outlets and restaurants nearby with asian food fro much less price!"

"We had a reservation for five, what is always a challenge for a restaurant: crowded table for four or a spacious table for six? Luckily, we got a table for six, thus we had enough space. The menu card is a bit of confusing especially...for older persons, because it is not hte widely used list type, but more prosaic. Due to that, the order of drinks needs a little bit more time and mixed up the waiters. Subsequent, one drink was forgotten, but after short reminder, was quickly served. Then, there was a greeting from the cuisine, a wonderful creamy veal soup. As starter I had the gamba prawns, with oil, garlic, vegetables and piri piri (chilies). Itwas served in a small bowl, but also it was very hot, there was no indication that the prawns were fried anyway. The small bowl was filled up with oil, so that the prawns were flooded and swim in oil. Maybe this is the right way to serve, but for me it was to oily. Otherwise taste was good. The main course were some schnitzel with fries. The schnitzel were breaded and very tender. But again, the breading didnt show any sign of frying, the whole thing was very light. The opposite were the french fries, they were all brownish, maybe a bit to dark. It tasted all good, but from my point of view, the fries were too dark and the breaded schnitze l to light. Having the roasting at the right thing, it would even taste better. We also had some homemade breadrolls with some butter/dips in the beginning that were nice. It was good food with a nice taste, but msall things bring it down to stars."

"Very nice ambience and generally a super cozy yet slightly elevated atmosphere. The service is extremely friendly and always has a loose jump on the lips (which is unfortunately not always the case with restaurants in the price segment). The food was tastefully excellent and also visually absolutely convincing (see pictures). The dishes are colorful, unusual and fresh! The portions match the price so you should add appetizer and dessert to become rich. The only real criticism of us was that there is no only vegetarian soup and generally only three vegetarian dishes. However, it is necessary to say that the card is constantly changing, so that perhaps the point of criticism is not always correct. Included, a restaurant with super food that can justify the price and will offer a nice evening."

"after we have received a voucher for our environment and had a pleasure in the Italian cuisine, we have become aware of the restaurant dal passatore. So we drove there spontaneously on a Thursday night. directly in front of the door there is a parking space for guests, which is more untypical for the ruhrallee. the restaurant is decorated in an older and rustic style. directly at the entrance we were greeted with a view of a fresh fish counter (with very good selection) by a friendly waiter and led to a table at the window. next to the standard menu there was a day card on the wall. we decided to start an antipasti appetizer and an salat and as a main course we chose 2 pizzas. to shorten the waiting period we got a small dish with green and black olives, mild peperoni, crimped butter and pizza rolls as a greeting from the kitchen. salat and antipasti came quickly and were very fresh, varied and delicious. (see photo)When ordering the pizza went a bit wrong and so my companion got a different pizza than that he had ordered. but that was not a problem, the waiter apologized and invited us to the conclusion of a drink of our choice. Small mistakes can happen and if you are compensated as apologies, it is just great! the pizza was very tasty on a stone oven baked, wonderfully crispy and well occupied. for us definitiw a successful evening! that was certainly not our last night there!"
