"On our way back to Netherlands from Autria we stopped in Essen to grab a bite to eat. Since Cavos was valued a very good in Tripadvisory we decided to try the restaurant and are extremely happy we did so. Cavos is not a typical...Greek restaurant where you get gyros or a grill platter. Cavos serves fresh and tasty food on a higher level. The service was also perfect. The waiter spoke with passion and the chef eventually also stopped by our table which was a nice touch. For glasses of wine, starters, main courses and espresso and some waiter the bill was A little more than your typical german restaurant, but it is worth every penny"

"Wir waren zu Acht da. Wir waren zum Brunch da und die Idee mit dem ständigen Nachschub ist toll und die Auswahl ist vielfältig. Die Räumlichkeiten sind auch schön und der Ausblick Klasse. Es war nicht voll besetzt an dem Tag aber schon nach der ersten Brötchen Runde gab es keine Schokocroissants. Wir hatten zwei Körbchen auf dem Tisch die natürlich bei der ersten Runde schnell leer wurden. Der Nachschub ließ öfter auf sich warten. 20 Minuten für Butter ist einfach doof. O-Saft wurde immer wieder nachgeliefert aber auch der Lachs ließ auf sich warten Rührei musste dauernd nachbestellt werden, da die Portion nur immer für vier Leute gereicht hat. Das ist nicht so schön. Wir bestellen alle Rührei und müssen dann warten und wieder neu bestellen. Würde wiederkommen aber der Service muss sich verbessern."

"Highly recommended for great Vietnamese food in Essen.We (2 people) showed up without reservation on Saturday night (which was a mistake, I admit). But the super-friendly staffs there did everything they could to fit us in. We had summer rolls, Pho, and Saigon beers, which were all very good at reasonable prices. My companion, who spent some time in Vietnam, also approved of the taste!! Thank you very much for the wonderful evening!!"

"Since the opening of the place it was not at all, but has a new owner that we were there for the first time. Operation as always Super was pretty full so it had to wait quite long for our food. Price performance can never be done, but in my opinion more than 5 croquettes on the plate. All right. Come on."

"as I work in frillendorf, I always like to go with colleagues here. in summer you can sit out nicely, there are about 25 places inside. the service is friendly and professional, if you were there a few times, you will be recognized again and correspondingly brewed. we were always satisfied with the quality, the pizza is made before the eyes with the hand fresh, you can also see the usually open kitchen door and see how the cook works,"

"Wir waren zum Abendessen auf einer Geschäftsreise in diesem Restaurant. Glücklicherweise muss man sagen, dass unser Hotel direkt in der Nähe war, sonst hätten wir dieses tolle Restaurant nicht entdeckt. Das Restaurant wirkt unscheinbar. Der Besitzer ist ein sehr freundlicher Mann, dein außergewöhnlichen Service bietet. Um die Schärfe zu testen, hat er uns vorab zwei verschiedene Saucen mit Brot gebracht. Zum ausprobieren. Die Gerichte waren sehr lecker. Unter anderem hatten wir das Tandoori Mix Grill. nochmals vor den außergewöhnlichen Service des Inhaber. Vielen Dank dafür. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Gerne wieder beim nächsten Besuch in Essen."

"I have been there only once right before they were closing for that day so this might be a little irregular but I was hugely disappointed. Staff was extraordinarily nice and the place itself looks very hip and clean but still cozy. The food on the other hand was VERY diasppointing. I had a vegan Saté-Dog with the homemade sausage. Except the bread (which was very nice) everything was totally not worth the 10€ I paid. The sauce was blend and I didn‘t even feel nearly full, the sausage was boring in taste and texture. Since staff and owners seem really nice and dedicated I hope it was just a bad day but until somebody convinces me of the opposite I won‘t give it another try."

"We ate our first Helloumi in Berlin in summer 2015 and were immediately in love. We've always said how much we find we haven't discovered food yet. We go through ruffles and discover the Habibiz. Our heart beats up immediately and it was clear: we eat hallo now. And we were not disappointed! Overjoyed and tired we are booted at home and approved the Habibiz with one we come back!"

"extremely unfriendly and especially not suitable for a visit with small child (which sits and eats) I never write reviews, but the incident in the miamamia in the park has shocked me so that I want to report about it here and can only guess about one. we sat to the breakfast with our two and a half-year-old son on a table on the terrace. the bank was too far from the table for our son as if he had eaten. because no child chairs are available, my man took a chair for our son so that he could sit on the table. some time later a worker came and asked us extremely unfriendly, without further explanation to return the chair. we told the employee we would eat first. then the employee called the “coffee” and went before our son and the other guests. we have notified the incident to the senior management of miamamia per post. we are waiting for an appropriate apology or learn how he judges the behaviour of his fellow worker and how children are desired in gastronomy at all."

"Tatsächlich ein kleiner Geheimtipp. So schön angerichtete Speisen kenne ich sonst nur von sehr teuren Restaurants. Auch schmecken tut es hier sehr gut. Die Qualität der Zutaten empfinde ich hoch. Was ich erstaunlich finde ist, dass der Koch anscheinend das perfekte Reis-Fleisch/Gemüse Verhältnis gefunden hat. In vielen asiatischen Läden gibt es entweder zu viel oder zu wenig Reis. Hier passt es so genau, das der Teller leer wird und der Gast satt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend. Das Ambiente schlicht aber sehr angenehm. Die Bedienung war überaus freundlich und vorausschauend. Wenn ich es richtig einschätze handelt es sich um einen kleinen Familienbetrieb. Sollte ich nochmal nach Essen kommen, werde ich einen weiteren Besuch in Erwägung ziehen."

"Aufgrund der hohen Bewertung, haben wir zum ersten Mal den Bonner Hof besucht. Der Emfang war sehr freundlich, das Ambiente aber eher mittelmäßig - wer es mag am Tisch in schumriger Beleuchtung die Speisen zu sich zu nehmen, mag es OK sein. Für uns leider viel zu dunkel. Die Speisekarte gab nicht besonders her, die offenen Weine mittelmäßig. Der kleine Gruß aus der Küche war schmackhaft, aber nicht besonders. Die Vorspeise, Gambas im kochenden Zustand in Gemüsebrühe mit Öl kam unerwartet schnell, bevor wir mit dem Gruß aus der Küche fertig waren. Zu dem hätte es eine Erklärung zu der sehr heißen, noch kochenden Vorspeise bedarft. Als Hauptspeise wurden Schweinebäckchen und Argentinisches Rumpsteak bestellt. Als Beilage gab es Meersalzkartöffelchen welche man mit Sicherheit wesentlich appetitlicher hinbekommen kann, der Spinat allerdings war ok was auch eigentlich keine Kunst ist.Die Sausen entsprachen keiner Profiküche, auffälligstes Merkmal war Salz.Auch die Fleischzubereitung sollte man nochmal verbessern. Wir waren letztendlich so enttäusch, das jedes Interesse am Dessert verloren war. Fazit, wir verstehen nicht das ein mittelmäßiges Restaurant eine so hohe Bewertung mit Anspruch auf gehobene Küche hat. Leider können wir dieses Restaurant für eine gehobene Küche nicht weiter empfehlen. Eventuell nutzen sie diese Kritik, als Anlass den jetzigen Zustand zu verbessern."

"had to bumble with my wife and spontaneously decided to try the load. the employees were not the kindest, although we were with the first customers on a Sunday afternoon. several times I had to ask for infos about the bunny. order was still running smoothly. a view of the open kitchen and budgets did not expect super high quality - the wobbles were already partly distorted. after ordering on the toilet. despite that the load had just opened, the toilet was not clean. raw also used. would have expected more hygiene.It was quite quick to eat. got it. burger was ok. would give a 3 out of 5 stars for this. pommes partly lazy. majo was bad. between times ok but you can't expect super high quality. friendly costs nothing, but makes a load more visitable."

"Nach dem Escaperoom haben wir uns entschieden, diesen Italiener zu besuchen. Wir waren überrascht über die gemütliche Einrichtung und haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war ebenfalls sehr gut. Ich hatte ein Gericht der Tageskarte. Vorweg gibt es Brot, Oliven und Butter. Wir kommen gerne wieder Liebe Grüße an den Chef, er ist total herzlich und hat uns einen schönen Abend beschert."

"I was recommended this place by a local, but was disappointed. The food IS good, but there are many places in Essen selling Italian food that is just as good or better, for a fraction of the price, and with larger portions. The wine is...pricey but very good. A cheaper house wine just isn't available. The waiter was a bit of a jerk as he said 'trust me' on the wine choice, then 'joked' or was it?! that it was only euros a glass. For the rest of the meal I wondered how much it actually was, before getting a more decent euros confirmed on the bill. The decor is more in need of an upgrade than retro, and the service not particularly warm unless you're one of the regulars or large groups spending the real money"

"'il pastaro' is a small - really small - Italian family business. the restaurant has been there for 20 years. it's been to me personally since approx. 14 years known and I always like to go there although I have been living in düsseldorf for a few years. the restaurant may have 6 tables in a cozy, rustic ambiente. the kitchen is open and visible. also the appetizers in a virtine / theke that separates the restaurant from the kitchen. here is all 100% fresh. convinience will be in vain here. the card is not huge, but offers enough choice. Overall, I haven't taken a court to myself, which would have disappointed me. some dishes, on the other hand, I have never eaten better elsewhere. the prizes have raised you in the run of over 10 years only once and are not really high. the restaurant offers good service and the staff is very polite and courteous."
