"We came based off the reviews for the food but were just as pleasantly surprised by the cocktails, Lauren and Tom (I hope I remember your names right! are both really lovely and welcoming and it's really reflected in the service they offer. The place has a really cool atmosphere and the food was soooo yummy. (Best nachos we have ever had . Would totally recommend this place for anyone visiting filey we're coming back next summer so will defo be paying you guys another visit! "We had our evening meal at Filey Curry House whilst we were staying in the area last week and we weren't disappointed. It was by far the best curry we have ever had (we normally Indian dine approx every 2 weeks). Service was outstanding even though new members of staff were being trained we were still made to feel very special. Thank you and we will be returning."

"fantastic pub, fantastic staff, fantastic eating. we stumbled over this pub randomly our party of four together with 3 dogs and we could not feel welcome anymore. that's as if it were in their own local. I have traveled a bit and drank and eaten at many places, but the hospitality we were shown was two to none, the nice renters even gave us a few tassen for a tassen on tomorrow in the Posh pods, as we forget to bring some. I recommend this place as 5 stars plus. the food was nice I ate the house made steak pie and was pleased to measure how I asked the cook his recipe. if you find yourself in this beautiful little town, please stop by and they will be grateful. many thanks to the renter and the renter and to all those who make our visit so good."

"Brown crawl completed. Me and my mates just completed the Filey brown crawl. After drinking brown water from the war memorial fountain and having brown coffee and donuts on the sea front we headed to the brown room. The food in the brown room was terrificly brown, however the flow of the brown started taking over my bowels. We rushed down to the public bathrooms to decorate the toilet brown. "We love Kayleigh's Cafe. We came for breakfast at 10:15 on a Saturday morning before heading home after our holiday. It seems to be our new tradition when we holiday in Filey! The guy serving us was lovely and friendly. We ordered small english breakfasts with some hot drinks. Food was great. "The Lighthouse is excellent and has a very good gluten free menu.The staff are friendly and the food is beautifully presented and enjoyable. I believe that much thought has been given to providing an alternative menu for coeliacs and those needing gluten free food. The added bonus was the home made gluten free cake, the choice when I visited was a delicious white chocolate and raspberry cake.I’ll be back, a real find and makes eating out a pleasure again."

"6 of us (3 children) were staying at the Haven Blue Dolphin Site not far from Filey and we had decided last minute to have a meal out. After a quick search on Trip Advisor we tried the Bull Inn which is local however they decided to stop selling food 2 hours before advertised! So we headed to Filey to the Italian San Marco however it was also not to be as they were full. After another quick search on Trip Advisor we came across The Cobble Bar and Bistro. I made a quick call to them and spoke with a lovely girl who assured us we could all be fed. We headed straight round. Third time lucky? Initial impressions were ok, it did feel a little plain and there wasn't much atmosphere (it was a Sunday night mind you) however the smell of food was just lovely! I think due to being called a Bistro I was maybe expecting something a little more upmarket, not that I am implying it was run down or shabby as it wasn't either. We were warmly greeted by Ella who also happened to be the girl I spoke to on the phone. We were seated and she attended to us all night. The service was excellent and the food was really really good. I won't bore you with all that we ate but it all tasted fresh and the food appeared to be all home made. The pizza, burgers and fish were all very good and the portion sizes about right. We were left feeling well fed and extremely satisfied. The food was great but if I'm honest the service outshone the food, Ella was so polite and attentive and always had a smile on her face. At no point did we feel like we were being served in a restaurant, she almost seemed like someone we knew but hadn't seen for a while. The food was really good, the service was great and we had very little wait time for our food. Most importantly we didn't feel robbed when it came time to pay. All in all I would definitely recommend the Cobble and would happily return again. Thank you."
