"Nous sommes tombés sous le charme d'Yves et de sa cuisine inventive, découverte lors d'un repas en amoureux au Cap Coz. Il utilise le plus possible des produits locaux, dont des poissons et fruits de mer (bien sûr), mais aussi de la volaille et des fromages. Nos coups de coeur : le crottin de chèvre du Menez-Hom gratiné (une excellente surprise !) et la tarte amandine aux abricots, feuilletage caramélisé, sorbet abricot - romarin (mmmmm...).Le cadre est feutré mais pas trop, et on était à deux pas de la plage.On aurait dû y dormir, car l'hôtel vient d'ajouter une terrasse avec un spa. On reviendra ! Merci à Yves et sa famille"

"We were staying at a nearby campsite (L'Atlantique) and decided to visit the Beg Meil on a exploration of the coast. We parked near the Chapelle Saint-Guénolé and walked down to the coast - lots of lovely little coves and nice views that we stayed longer than expected and we were soon hungry for lunch. We ended walking up a dirt road further north hoping to hit the main town center. We saw a few places to eat but the Creperie de Kervastard had a nice open area with trees out front and plenty of customers to make us give it a try. We were not disappointed!NOTE: The location in TripAdvisor on their map is not correct. I will attach a Google Map "photo" of the actual location. Address is 22 Rue des Glénan 29170 Beg Meil Fouesnant.The service was quick - we needed a table cleared to sit and they accommodated quickly. We checked the menu and I was happy to see more then just crepes as i was hungry from climbing over rocks etc. Also my 8 year old son is not too keen on galettes. He and I ordered steak haché which came with frys and a salad - we both enjoyed the burger! My wife and father-in-law had galettes. My wife had the crêpe champignons à la crème - she raved about the creme sauce as well as the texture and flavour of the galette. My father-in-law had the crêpe jambon, fromage and was also suitably impressed. He and I split a half liter of Breton cider as well - very nice and refreshing!We decided to have dessert and ordered a few sweet crepes (my son had chocolate ice cream :-). My wife and I both ordered the crêpe pomme, caramel - I had it with a scoop of ice cream which the put inside the folded crêpe (nice touch!). The salted caramel sauce with the apples was wonderful! We both spent a good 5 minutes exclaiming "Mmmmmmm..... Mmmmm!!" My father-in-law had the chocolate and toasted almond crêpe and he loved his as well. The service throughout was good. The staff spoke in French but understood and could respond in English if needed. The restaurant do take credit cards if needed for tickets over 10 Euros."

"Frankly stop the detractors is a great place in the centre of Beg-Meil. We eat very well at very attractive prices. So if you didn't like it go to cafeteria large surfaces but especially avoid your negative comments."

"A pee at Beg Meil! I have 25 in the business of restoration.You have been able to revive this place.Enlargement on the top, work on the top, cleanliness seamlessly. Decoration in the air of time, a big heart blow for the fireplace. The kitchen is fresh! Excellent and refined in simplicity and very well presented. Plat served very hot, I love, it becomes so rare.... Qualitative quantity. Even for an apero plancha. Map of adapted and affordable wines. Delicious dishes, from the slate to the dish of the day. There are for all tastes, all ages, all eating habits. Home, service, bosses and chef are human, warm, adorable, humorous, very professional. Quality exceptional price for the region! Thank you for returning a soul to this extremely well-placed establishment and returning life to Beg Meil in low season. "Pour tous ceux qui veulent une petite gourmandise le soir venu, dans une station balnéaire de la riviera Bretonne. Et bien passé votre chemin. A 21h30, une glace pour des enfants, ni pensaient même pas. Tout est nettoyé (fermeture à 22h), la vendeuse nous dit dur un ton sec, de se nettoyer les pieds avant de rentrer, car elle vient de laver le sol. Quand on commande une glace, le regard qu'elle nous fait en dit long sur l'envie de travailler (ou plutôt nous invite à aller voir plus loin). C'est ce qu'on a fait en allant à Beg-Meil. On y retournera pas...."

"The flavours were at the rendezvous in our different dishes but the service was really not possible. We felt ambient stress when we arrived. It was without the moment of rush but the fact of coming with children clearly cooled our host it was when we entered the restaurant (we had warned for 2 children but finally there were 3 children. Then the great slam of the bad service: 20/25mn to get the aperitif after having asked if you could have the card of the drinks, sharp comments on the children (we had a glass of broken: “what had to happen came” , your very dry and cold even when we were trying to tie a certain dialogue etc ... short to avoid for the service (we may have fallen satisfied on a day without but Vegetarian pass your turn and therefore „no kids friendly“."

"This after reviewing reviews on TripAdvisor and not disappointed. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, slow because busy, but quality of food does not suffer and teenage son said this gave us more time to enjoy the trip! Starters of oysters, salmon gravadlax and fois grass... were all delicious, main of paella, duck, sardines, steak and vegetarian also very good, and desserts of profiteroles and tarte aux pomme rounded off the meal nicely. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and suggest the booking as it was full at about 8 a.m."

"Although there was a terrible smell from the beach, we thought we were a coffee and I asked for a cafe cream. they brought me an express with a cold cold milk. I said this was not what I was, for and was hit with a very aggressive reaction. Five men yelled at me. it was very intimidating for me as a woman. they were so rude, even if I tried to smooth over them, they were rude. that's france where the customer is never right. I think if they go there and have a problem with their eating, they are filled with the same answer."

"We loved this place on arrival... quirky 1950s artwork on lovely stone walls and a very warm welcome. When the food arrived we all thought "Wow", but three out of the four of us were disappointed once we actually tucked into the food. It was very much a case of style over substance. I ordered the Turbot, which was beautifully presented, but was in fact just a small piece of fish that was absolutely full of bones... it seemed more bone than fish. My partner was pleased with his Roquefort Beef Burger, but the other two members of our party were a bit underwhelmed by their beautifully presented meals too. However, because we loved the room, the atmosphere, and the service was excellent, we decided to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and give it another go... but we ended up wishing we hadn't... it was a complete disaster! A different lady was serving, and she could never be described as warm and friendly. My partner and I ordered the goats cheese salad, which again arrived looking wow on the plate. However, when we tucked in, the cheese was barely there and was served on horrid stale toast, and the mountains of chopped lettuce was brown round the edges and tasted very bitter (and looked like it had come from an outdated packet). It was awful. Another member of our party ordered the Roquefort burger that my partner had enjoyed last visit.... but it arrived a very long time after the other three of our meals and had neither the Roquefort, or the lovely sauce of last time on it . She was extremely disappointed. In conclusion, we will not be spending our coins at Bistro du Coin again!"

"We were struggling to find restaurants with a family friendly menu in Fouesnant. We came m across this restaurant while walking across the village centre. This restaurant is family friendly with a wide variety of home cooked food. The chef is excellent. Everything was fresh, well made and tasted superb. The two ladies serving were attentive. The kids food was very well cooked and delicious as well. My "fussy" children finished off the chicken and they had a choice of ice cream as well. This restaurant deserves a higher rating.We both had moules frites and it was superb.For 4 or us and a bottle of wine the bill only came to 78 Euros.PS their Website has incorrect opening times. It is better to call to book. It is definitely closed on Mondays."
