"We loved this place on arrival... quirky 1950s artwork on lovely stone walls and a very warm welcome. When the food arrived we all thought "Wow", but three out of the four of us were disappointed once we actually tucked into the food. It was very much a case of style over substance. I ordered the Turbot, which was beautifully presented, but was in fact just a small piece of fish that was absolutely full of bones... it seemed more bone than fish. My partner was pleased with his Roquefort Beef Burger, but the other two members of our party were a bit underwhelmed by their beautifully presented meals too. However, because we loved the room, the atmosphere, and the service was excellent, we decided to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and give it another go... but we ended up wishing we hadn't... it was a complete disaster! A different lady was serving, and she could never be described as warm and friendly. My partner and I ordered the goats cheese salad, which again arrived looking wow on the plate. However, when we tucked in, the cheese was barely there and was served on horrid stale toast, and the mountains of chopped lettuce was brown round the edges and tasted very bitter (and looked like it had come from an outdated packet). It was awful. Another member of our party ordered the Roquefort burger that my partner had enjoyed last visit.... but it arrived a very long time after the other three of our meals and had neither the Roquefort, or the lovely sauce of last time on it . She was extremely disappointed. In conclusion, we will not be spending our coins at Bistro du Coin again!"

We ate here with friends recently, and found it all very pleasant. The food was good, not a huge menu, but that is all to the best. Freshly prepared. Duck, fish, veal, seafood. All good. Not cheap, but where is. The puddings were acceptable as well.

We have had meals at the Bistro du Coin over the past years but this year it was brilliant. The owners now keep some excellent beers to go with the food. I enjoyed the rump steak twice in a week and my wife had...the scallops and the lamb which were very well cooked and presented. Enjoyed the friendly company, hosts, food and drinks. Will return Visualizza piatti

Visited based on Lonely Planet recommendation but I cant say I was impressed. I had the French onion soup and steak tarte, and both were ok. My friend's mussels were excellent. The big disappointment was the 'poached pear icecream' I received a big...cup of icecream with pieces of poached pear a ton of cream and sprinkles! Basically a monstrosity. Service was hit and miss both in efficiency and friendliness

We eat here regularly and the food never disappoints. It is wholesome, hearty French food that's always fresh and tasty. It isn't a huge menu, but it changes regularly and in any case offers something for most tastes with fish dishes, several meat dishes, various...salads and often soups in winter. The service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is great a big chimney that is lit in the colder months, gorgeous stone walls, pleasant décor. Not stiff upper lip fancy, just really nice and easy. One of my favorite places

A wet Sunday lunchtime in July and we dived in here to a) get out of the rain and b) because they had a table, unlike the first place we tried. What luck! I chose the salade campagnard and my partner opted for the moules frites. "We wanted a nice place to stay for our last night in France. Somewhere with a good restaurant and a room with a view, within hours of Roscoff. We found the hotel and restaurant Belle Vue which appeared to tick all the boxes. The...website lists a number of different types of rooms and the double with bath had a lovely picture of a double room with large windows and a sea view so we booked it. On arrival we found we had not booked that room at all but a bland double room overlooking the car park and a roof. I was obviously not the first, as the lady on reception said it had happened before when booking via the website and we ought to phone to secure the room we want! We also chose this hotel due to its ‘restaurant’ and good reviews on trip advisor but unfortunately this wasn’t up to the mark either. It is more like a hotel dining room than a restaurant which would be fine except for the amount they are charging. We did have a table with a sea view which was appreciated. We ordered a bottle of wine but were not invited to try it. We ordered starters and mains from the a la carte menu but not desserts (standard restaurant practice) but were informed that if we ordered desserts later we would have to wait for them. We were delivered butter but had to ask for bread. The food was OK but nothing amazing. Overall during our time in France, we had better meals and stayed at better hotels for better value, so will not be returning"

"We were staying at a nearby campsite (L'Atlantique) and decided to visit the Beg Meil on a exploration of the coast. We parked near the Chapelle Saint-Guénolé and walked down to the coast - lots of lovely little coves and nice views that we stayed longer than expected and we were soon hungry for lunch. We ended walking up a dirt road further north hoping to hit the main town center. We saw a few places to eat but the Creperie de Kervastard had a nice open area with trees out front and plenty of customers to make us give it a try. We were not disappointed!NOTE: The location in TripAdvisor on their map is not correct. I will attach a Google Map "photo" of the actual location. Address is 22 Rue des Glénan 29170 Beg Meil Fouesnant. The service was quick - we needed a table cleared to sit and they accommodated quickly. We checked the menu and I was happy to see more then just crepes as i was hungry from climbing over rocks etc. Also my 8 year old son is not too keen on galettes. He and I ordered steak haché which came with frys and a salad - we both enjoyed the burger! My wife and father-in-law had galettes. My wife had the crêpe champignons à la crème - she raved about the creme sauce as well as the texture and flavour of the galette. My father-in-law had the crêpe jambon, fromage and was also suitably impressed. He and I split a half liter of Breton cider as well - very nice and refreshing! We decided to have dessert and ordered a few sweet crepes (my son had chocolate ice cream :-). My wife and I both ordered the crêpe pomme, caramel - I had it with a scoop of ice cream which the put inside the folded crêpe (nice touch!). The salted caramel sauce with the apples was wonderful! We both spent a good 5 minutes exclaiming "Mmmmmmm..... Mmmmm!!" My father-in-law had the chocolate and toasted almond crêpe and he loved his as well. The service throughout was good. The staff spoke in French but understood and could respond in English if needed. The restaurant do take credit cards if needed for tickets over 10 Euros."
