"Despite this star rating, not everything was perfect. We showed up for our dinner reservations without knowing much about the restaurant. You don't need to speak French to order. Most of the staff does not. Despite a very thick accent our waiter did not speak French, which was a bit disappointing. But the restaurant would only be slightly out of place in the Alsace region. (Only because it's been renovated to look the style as opposed to being constructed in that European style The restaurant was recommended to me by a chef friend, saying the food is a taste of the old world French. On this note, it did not disappoint. Every bite was a delightful note of one herb or spice to accent the meat or vegetable, with a perfect account of salt across the dish. All the red meat was a perfect medium rare. Which is why I was surprised when my lobster was overdone. Overall, the atmosphere was nice, food was tasty French cuisine, and everything was well orchestrated to provide a seamless dinner experience. I will definitely recommend L'Auberge to my friends for their special occasions."
