"I ate it this restaurant based upon the recommendation of a chef at another restaurant in Hamburg. I was not disappointed. It is food that tastes as if it would be served in any home in Italy. It is not fine dining, per se, but...my meal was excellent. Cash only The tables even have the requisite checkered table cloths. All of the wines were Italian and the Pinot Grigio I had was very good. My main course was the pasta in an anchovy sauce. The taste of the anchovies immediately dragged me back to Italy. The anchovies must have been of very good quality as they did not have that kind of fishy flavor poor quality anchovies impart. There were not a lot of anchovies in the dish, rather the sauce olive oil infused with anchovies was fullflavored. Pasta, bruschetta, water, and Pinot Grigio was euros. The restaurant also looked like a down home Italian eatery. I made a reservation for pm on a Saturday night. minutes after I arrived very large groups arrived adding to the noisy Italian ambience. Perfecto. Not fine dining but great comfort food. I would go back"

"we had not booked - this was a spontaneous family dinner - but were warmly welcomed in the kyodai. our food began with free drinks and some olives and a distillery. our son, 9 years old, also got an aperitif - not the straw beer prosecco that we had, but sensibly served in an identical glass that began a special dinner for him, where he explored the menu and ordered with our charming, attentive waiter carefully and talked about the food that was served him. we ate sushi in various sorts, gyoza and a bean cucumber meal prepared with a cocos sauce, the latter rather south-east Asian than Japanese, but the Kyodai kitchen seems to do more than Japanese food and does it very well. none of the dishes were strange to us, but each one was characterized by the fresh and clearness of its aromas: high-quality ingredients, precisely prepared (and beautifully presented). our sohn then ate a dessert on a banana basis, the result of the talk of the waiter with him about his taste and a "let it with me"? like to accept a sign of his not everyday trust in waiter and kitchen. that was an excellent eating and a charming service that made a spontaneous eating a special experience, especially for a child who was pleased to be taken as own hospitable as banished into the fluffy of a child menu. the high-quality courts of kyodai are available at a reasonable price. it deserves support."

"We were here for a dinner. Menu was quite strange. Don’t expect traditional Italian food. Even tiramisu is not normal first bitter then sweet, in general not “heavy” , I know it’s a big art to make traditional perfect one, but they try to escape...into fruits and different flavors. So you cannot call it tiramisu. Entrance to the restaurant made me feel like I was going to corpo eating house. It’s not warm and cozy place by far. We ordered two pasta. One of them was uneatable. It was pasta with Rindfleisch as you can see on photo. Taste of meet was to heavy and didn’t macht with pasta at all. Reminds me to Chappi "

"Certainly a must to eat as a local or tourist. It has its price but the staff and the food really makes up for it. Service is very friendly and fast. Also very pro active as they constantly see work and run around quite fast....The food was served within 20mins of arriving so certainly fast! Irish Rib Eye (rare/medium rare, 300gr) with their French Fries is simply godly! During our 1 week stay in Hamburg as Belgian tourists, we went to this restaurant twice! "Went for breakfast with the family on a Saturday morning. This place is somewhat of an institution in Hamburg so it was quite busy. Setting is great in a leafy neighborhood with tables scattered in a large garden. However I was quite disappointed by quite a few things : it took 45mn for our simple orders (baskets of bread with spreads) to be delivered. That just not acceptable. Inside the baskets : mixed feelings : croissant was very good, bread was under par (fluffy, little taste industrial style), little nutella and honey plastic containers you find at 1 star hotels, cheese was thin slices of unmemorable taste, salad leaves were clearly tired but little fresh fruits were good. Then we wanted to pay they only accept cash or German debit cards. Come on this 21st century ! In a nutshell, this place is not to international levels but it is not very expensive either."

"I ordered the wild gourmet grill box via voilá in post-sales. the meat (rhe, red,- dammwildlachs and wild pigs) and the sausages were of excellent quality, it was not characterized which meat packaging contained. Instead, the letters a to d were glued without further explanation. the marinads are pointed and I let the meat go through overnight, not only three hours as in the preparation instructions. even after prolonged grilling, the sweet potato slices were still hard. the koleslaw and the cervical butter were clearly in the necessity of a refinement. the sauces were very delicious."

"Last weekend I accompanied two friends, tapas lovers and specialists, sometimes on one of their tapase wounds, to Avelino. My thing isn't these small-scale appetizers, I'd rather have something right on the plate. But there are also some dishes offered at Avelino. The hose-like place is nice and cosy, on the walls many photos and greetings from celebrities, which have already arrived here. Maybe the staff from the boss and a waiter must go warm first, it was just after 6:00 and the restaurant had just opened 10 minutes. I'll stay at the service. The ordered food came very quickly, only with the beverage reorders there were quite gaps, empty glasses were not perceived. You had to pick up yourself. What was certainly due to the fact that the sole skeleton had to run quite nicely in the now well-stocked restaurant in the service, the boss looked at the game Atletico Barcelona behind the tresen, and it therefore took a little longer with the peg. For dinner. I can't say so much about the tapas side, only: my companions weren't enthusiastic. From the very few plate dishes offered, I chose the fillets from Ibericoschwein on chickpeas with chorizo (piedged sausage) and runzel potatoes. The whole thing was quite swooped together, the dish was more one-to-one draped on the plate. Tastefully it was ok, easy to spicy, you can eat it, but without great enthusiasm. At €17.50 price maybe a bit too high, although the portion was sufficient to get satt. Bottom line: The place can be visited, but a repetition does not irritate me: three stars."

We could have imagined the payment process a bit more discreet, we would have wished to submit the invoice in a small folder so that you can decide where and how to pay. "This restaurant offers two types of service, either you select à la carte or you select a 4 or 5 course set menu. The items in the set menus are present on the à la carte menu, so it 's not a special experience that the chef proposes....We therefore ordered à la carte as the two most appealing dishes we saw on the menu were not part of the 4 or 5 courses set menus. We had: pea risotto: very good, crunchy peas are super interesting. Good sized portion octopus: tender and well charred, as it should be done. venison: two big pieces, well cooked at medium rare. rabbit: big dish. The parsnip was not soft enough though, still being very hard. Service was average at best. The appetizers were served to us before our wine was brought... which is unacceptable. The waiters didn 't care in going in detailed explanations when presenting the dishes. The wine list is a bit expensive in our opinion, having just a few options at 29 Euros, the rest being 42+ Euros per bottle. Otherwise, the food was decently priced and, most importantly, very good. We would recommend as the food was good, but be wary that the service will not be at the level it should be. Which is strange, as we believe the staff are the owners, judging by the fact that the portraits being hung on the wall leading to the bathroom look very similar to the staff that served us. You would thus expect them to take it up a notch, if it 's their own place."

Tuesday to Friday there is a lunch table with suppe, salat and fladenbrot. lunches cost between 5,50 and 7,80 €. an alcohol-free drink for 1,90 € 0,3 l and 2,30 € for 0.4 l. the rich food card offers cold appetizers, ante, salate, suppening, baked, pizzas, wings, grill specialties, lamb dishes, steaks, their dishes and calf specialties. there are also vegetarian and older dishes and also has something for the small guests on camp. the price segment is 3 € for starters and suppers, up to 14,50 € for the rich main dishes. "I was in the mood for an evening of Japanese cuisine, and the reviews of this restaurant have arrived and I was curious. So I reserved a place in the sushi bar. the restaurant radiates a 100% Japanese atmosphere. the hostess, receive me kindly and she also brought me to my place in the sushi bar. I chose the six-course speciality menu with sukiyaki and a little ebi tempura to go with the aperitif. After I had ordered, it turned out that the oil for the ebi tempura could not be fast at temperature so that they would use it after curs 2 in the menu. I wouldn't say I liked it, but I didn't make a problem. the small salat of seetang and gurke as the 1st plate was super good! very tasteful. but then I got curs 2, the yakitori and the EBI-Tempura at the same time. two hot dishes at once. I asked if they could serve the yakitori after I finished the other. my server was also upset that it was served at the same time, so no problem. the ebi was good, but not as it should be, and for the price asked, they expect an excellent ebi tempura. the yakitori, on the other hand, was very juicy and the sauce was very well flavored. the suimono was good, but the sashimi afterwards, like the 4th curs, was moderate and much too cold. the chefs had already cut the sashimi and then put back in an too cold refrigerator. the beautiful to sit on a sushi bar is that after the chef has made the sashimi, he can serve them immediately so that they can enjoy the fresh taste optimally. at this point I changed from the chablis to a glass of red wine recommended to go with the main course to the sukiyaki. the weeping was completely no combination with the court, and the court itself was very bad; it had nothing to do with the aromes they usually taste with such a dish. the meat was too hard. I asked the server after billing and made clear that I thought the quality of food is far below the point, in consideration of the prices they asked. he said he agreed to my results and offered to take the menu bowls out of the bill.
