"After a long day of traveling, I was hit with a terrible migraine, and since there was no food available at the hotel, I decided to venture out to eat. It was pouring rain, and I felt very fragile but also hungry. When I arrived, there were some tables inside, so I explained my situation and asked to be seated in a quieter area. Instead, I was directed to a table in the middle of the restaurant, right next to some loud children and under a loudspeaker. When I inquired about a quieter table, I was told the only option was to sit outside in the pouring rain, not even under any cover. After speaking with others at the hotel, I learned that the man at the door is known for being rude. I have no intention of dining at Frankie and Benny's again."

"We finally got around to trying here for the first time last night, following getting a couple of recommendations from friends and the great reviews on tripadvisor.The location, is what it is, in the middle of a ageing shopping centre. But as soon as you walk thru the door, you are treated like an old friend, even if its your first visit. The menu is traditional British Chinese food, reasonably priced. But its when the food arrives, that you realise this place is a cut above. The portion size is generous and the food lovely, fresh and great tasting. We opted for a set meal, each of the courses were excellent. The service was friendly and thoughtful.All in all, a great meal, definitely will be back"

"We are members of the same family who try to go together to the Harlow Toby about once a month, and this visit was like most others we have experienced. On the whole the food was good, though some of the vegetables would have been hotter if they had been covered while there was nobody in the queue, and on this one occasion my roast pork was very dry. However, overall we were well satisfied with our meal, and consider it to be quite reasonably priced."

"I have to say, my visit on Saturday night wasn't the best. The food appeared lackluster. I ordered the baja bowl, but the sauce over the chicken didn't taste of coconut; instead, it had more of an Indian flavor, so I won't be getting that again. The rest of the family's meals looked decent, but they didn't seem as fresh as we've experienced in the past. The coleslaw and guacamole also appeared a bit worn out."

"My experience at the restaurant felt quite impersonal. There was no atmosphere whatsoever, and the place appeared old and in need of a makeover. We had to wait nearly an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold. Additionally, the table we were seated at was quite dirty."

"I always love their cookie dough. There are many mirrors in this restaurant, making it a cozy spot that I have visited with friends before. Located on the high street, it's perfect for grabbing a bite after a concert or a movie. (Review last updated on February 2022)"

"We ordered a take away from this place and unfortunately were very disappointed with the food/service. Our food took an hour longer than expected and arrived cold. We then began to open the food to find a long black hair in the rice. Obviously this was disgusting and very unsanitary. We phoned the restaurant as this cost £50 and we didn’t want to eat any of it. The restaurant told us the best they can offer is to refund the cost of the rice, to which we were appalled. We expressed our disappointment to which they offered us a free rice and beer ‘next time’. Of course there will be no next time as this take away is extremely unhygienic and offer a very poor experience/customer service."

"We went to order a takeaway inside ordering the meal was easy. While waiting part of a gentleman's meal was cold informed the staff no sorry about that. Left him waiting at the counter while the rest of his meal got cold . Our meal the fries where wrong instead of putting the bag on the hot top they left it on the side . I had to ask them to keep it warm. The staff need to be trained in customer service, everything seems to be to much trouble. The chicken is greasy not drained properly. If staff are approachable and friendly sometimes you can forget the little mistakes."

My suggestion is to dine in at the restaurant and savor the high-quality food served on real plates with genuine silverware and attentive service. Food delivered through a delivery service simply cannot compare, especially during peak hours, and I am amazed that some people think it should. Enjoy the opportunity to connect with your family over a meal without any distractions, leading to a truly enjoyable dining experience. This was a fantastic find and I will definitely return with my family."
