"The staff at this cafe are friendly, the atmosphere is clean, and the ice cream is delicious. It's a great spot to stop for a refreshing treat, especially on a hot summer day. We stopped by in the late afternoon after a walk along the promenade. Emily, our server, was upbeat and friendly, and we enjoyed our ice cream while watching people play crazy golf outside the cafe window. The venue is welcoming and child-friendly, and they offer a wide variety of ice cream flavors. We highly recommend trying the Turkish delight flavor. The prices for all refreshments are very reasonable. Overall, a great experience."

"At first we were impressed by the low prices compared to other places on King 's Road. The ambience is nice and the cakes look tasty! We ordered a cheese onion toastie and a hummus, Halloumi and carrot wrap to take away. We were told the wait would be 10 minutes as there were a couple of orders before ours. 30 minutes later and our food had still not materialised! I understand that it was busy, but the two members of staff behind the counter didn 't seem to have a rush bone in their bodies. The girl making the sandwiches even stopped to have a chat with some customers while everybody was waiting for their food. My biggest gripe however, was when I took a bite into my wrap and realised that they 'd put grilled vegetables instead of carrot (I 'd overheard earlier that they 'ran out of carrot ' but they didn 't consult me about it). I am allergic to aubergine, which is in the grilled vegetables. Granted I didn 't disclose that when I gave the order, but only because I 'd intentionally chosen a wrap that didn 't contain grilled vegetables. I don 't know whether it was an honest mistake, or whether they substituted the carrots without consulting me. If I hadn 't been in my car driving away I would have gone back and found out. In the end the whole thing went in the bin. All in all I think this business needs to take a look at its food practices. I also saw staff touching their hair and then food without washing their hands. I work in catering and this is a big no no."

"My husband and I stayed here and absolutely loved it. Really lovely friendly lady greeted us on reception and showed us to our room and the room itself was very nice. Decent sized bed with everything we needed for our stay. Bathroom was a good size and had a bath as well as a shower and the usual complimentary shampoo and shower gels were supplied. The bar area was nice and plenty of seating areas and the outside area was lovely to sit outside and admire the Seaview in the sunshine. Breakfast was fantastic and a decent size not to much that you'd feel full and just enough that you don't leave much left on your plate. What really made our stay more enjoyable was the hotel is really dog friendly and we were able to bring our Dog into the bar while we enjoyed a drink in the evening. Perfect location right opposite the beach and there is a car park located at the back of the hotel with an entrance which means you can park up and walk straight down to the main reception area and not have to carry your luggage down the road. Really enjoyed our stay and have booked again for another visit. Thank you for a fantastic stay, all the staff we met were lovely and looking forward to coming back again."

"As a former manager of Peking Garden and a frequent diner at Double Dragon, I can confidently say that the dining experience was exceptional. The food was well-flavored and beautifully presented, with each dish perfectly cooked and melting in my mouth. "I recently discovered a hidden gem in this restaurant. The staff and owners were incredibly friendly and provided a welcoming atmosphere. The food was not only delicious but also reasonably priced. The female owner did a fantastic job pairing the dishes with the perfect wine, and they also had a great selection of beers. On Thursday evenings, they host a fantastic jazz club with talented musicians and special guest artists. Plus, the chairs were super comfortable. Overall, a wonderful experience!"

"We were on holiday and found this pub up the road to where we were staying best find I must say lovely pub great outdoor space fab atmosphere. The locals were lovely and the landlord so welcoming. "This is the 2nd time I have visited The Duke and the experience this time was not as good. Unfortunately, the waiting staff seemed very disorganised and were not very attentive when taking the order. The cutlery, serviettes were not brought out all at once but they kept coming backwards and forwards. One of the party had the gnocchi and when the waiter asked if we wanted anything else, ie, sauces, etc, they requested some parmesan cheese. The waiter returned to say that we could have parmesan but there would be an extra charge of £1 ! I have never in all the times I have visited restaurants have been asked to pay extra for parmesan cheese. We then asked to speak to the manager, who came over and said she would have to speak to the chef as she was a temporary manager. I am not sure what that had to do with making a decision on whether or not we had to pay for the parmesan. I pointed out that a member of the party was having the fish chips but had requested at the time of ordering that they did not want the mushy peas or tartare sauce. We would certainly not have expected to receive a reduction in the price ! The temporary manager then said she did not want to argue about it so would bring a portion of parmesan for no extra cost. I was a bit annoyed as there should have not been any argument at all as surely a small grating of parmesan should be free anyway, or the price incorporated in the cost of the meal !"

"Waterfalls is deservedly popular, and on previous visits we've found orders a bit slow to come, but this time we were delighted with how quick it was. (You order at the counter, and they bring the food to you. Two of us had excellent and very large slices of quiche with salad, and the others had lentil croquettes and chickpea croquettes, again with salad again, quite copious servings. The salad was lightly dressed and came with a bottle of ready made vinaigrette if that wasn't enough. Fruit juices (apple, apple/elderflower were local. Waterfalls doesn't really do desserts, but there's an impressive range of cakes. We actually had a lot of time to kill, so we sat and chatted and nobody minded or wanted us to hurry up. Bill came to about a tenner a head, including fruit juice (and 2 coffees"

"My girlfriend and I were looking for a place for breakfast. We had walked by this place the day before and when walking to the seafront went past it again. We were hungry so decided to try it out. Good god the big breakfast bap was unbelievable. A warm french baguette filled to the brim with perfectly cooked bacon, beautiful sausages, and a generous portion of two simply lovely, creamy eggs. The glacier cherry on top? The unexpected offering of gorgeous fried onions as well a plethora of sauces to satisfy anyone. You know when the kitchen is a 2x2 meter square, you are in for a treat, and this certainly was no exception. The staff were friendly and polite as well. Take a bow!"

"I have been eating at the amazing Smiths for years. Today, having not been to Smiths for a year due to lock down, I couldn't wait to bring my family in as a celebration treat. Upon arriving we were asked to scan the COVID track and trace at the door and then were welcomed in and offered a table within a designated marked out on the floor space. The Smiths waitresses always make you feel so welcome and serve with smiles and warmth they helped us with the buggy and highchair etc. We ordered our range of dietary requirements foods another reason I love Smiths as they seem to be able to cater for everyones needs. Our fresh orange juice was sooo fresh and sweet I would love to know what oranges they use! ...the paper rainbow drinking straw made me smile. From previous experience I know Smiths always make good coffee and today my father was not disappoint. ...another great cup! Our Brunch ticked all of our brunch craving boxes. Good sized portions, eggs just right, everything cooked as we liked and the slow roasted tomatoes, which are always so delicious continue to be, well so delicious! I was so relieved to see this eatery back up running, with the owner and great chef back in situ. This owner wins extra gold stars, as years ago actually I worked at Smiths, and he was both great fun to work with and super supportive. It was really great to see you all and thank you again for some more delicious food."

"Hidden down a side street, you probably wouldn't even know it was there unless you passed it or found it on Google maps like I did. It's a small bar/restaurant that also has accommodation. It has a quite traditional rustic interior with polished wooden floors...and big old oak tables the name didn't really seem to fit what you find inside at all actually. From the photos on the walls the building has historic originals as a pub and hotel, so they should probably embrace that as it would be a better fit. We had several drink and food and were mostly quite impressed. My wife had the Vegan tagine, which she absolutely loved, I had the Rib Eye steak, which was perfectly cooked and my son had a pizza, which wasn't on the evening menu (just the lunch menu) so it was really good of them to do that for him. The service was fast, attentive and the food came quite quickly. There were a couple of down points that knock down the rating a star. Firstly my Portobello mushroom was almost completely raw and totally inedible, must have just been flashed in a pan for seconds. Secondly, the drinks were very expensive at nearly a pint and over for a soft drink."

"I was here with a friend on Friday night for dinner. fatima and their employees gave excellent customer service, very attentive and friendly, spend time chatting with us and falling over themselves to ensure that we were comfortable and that we would be happy. with the food. my friend and I could not decide completely about appetizers so fatima made us a beautiful plate of a selection of appetizers, the miniature versions of one of the main courses (filo baked with cheese so delicious there were wee leaves filled with rice, sweetsamosas, bon mix and salat underneath. image included! the plate was beautifully presented and we didn't have to wait long until it arrives. I ordered an sage and mincetee that was served in a Moroccan style silver teekanne with a handle. the aesthetic in general, at fatima is rich and authentic, and the basement section feels especially as if in morrocco itself. long couches, many kisses, pictures of morrocco on the wall. it is a visual treatment and very comfortable. dogs are also allowed in the restaurant, which is beautiful. the place has a warm feeling, because of the welcome and receiving nature of fatima and their personal. for my main course I have the carrot and chickpea tagine (also pictured) that was delicious. it was suitable thick enough in consistency, and the aromen worked so well together. it was served in a ton bowl as you can see, add to total experience. we had puddings, but they were eaten before I had the chance to look at the photography! rose flavored cookies created a light, airy and fragrant experience that I had not experienced before and the baklava was a dream! after that I had a coffee that was presented as well as the rest of the meal. I cannot blame fatimas and their beautiful selection of authentic Moroccan foods. I was amazed at how fast she was in the position to cook the food we had and I am very pleased to visit again to try other parts of the menu! highly recommended if she dine after an authentic experience and really delicious and creatiw presented and are Pattiserie items!"

"Disappointed. My usual Chinese is closed so we ordered from here as they take payment online. Chicken balls worst I’ve had. The chicken had funny smell (not off but cheap processed smell) and was tough to chew. The prawn crackers tasted days old. The chow mein and special rice were very nice. It was hot but I suspect the chicken balls may be reheated to be that tough. Ordered 2 portions of chicken balls between 3 of us and they mostly went in the bin. "I have eaten at Farmyard several times and the food has always been superb. The last time the service was terrible. It was fully booked but the staff appeared rushed and we waited for a very long time for the dessert menu after being asked if we wanted to see it and then even longer for the desserts themselves. The sign of a good team is when they are very busy but can still make each customer feel valued and listened to which sadly was not the case this time."

"have been following queens deli on facebook and instragram as they have opened and today I have finally taste their food and can safely say that it was worth waiting. the pictures of the toasted ruben look amazing and I can say that the taste was even better. probably the best roasted sandwich I've ever had. the owner and the team were very friendly and showed interest in all who came to the delicacies. we talked about eating and cooking all the time. I even had lucky enough to try the new batch of chicken meat that was just opened, which was quite delicious. I love the fact that they heal that they also possess flesh. if they have not yet been, they have to go and if they have been, they have to go again. I'll be back soon. "Really tasty, standard UK Chinese food. We ordered heavy on the sweet sauces which was our mistake however everything was so tasty it was hard to regret it. Crispy shredded beef and lemon chicken deserve special mention, absolutely delicious, as well as the roast pork fried rice which was so tasty. Arrived within 25 minutes, not the 45 60 minutes we were expecting which was awesome.From some of the reviews it looks like a hate campaign is being waged against this restaurant, I understand complaints were made to the health department who found everything was as it should be and denied the complaint. We were recommended by a friend who lives locally and regularly orders, we would definitely order again, we'd just included some less sweet options ;"

"if restaurants are to be successful in their career, they need a good introduction. this training restaurant, in an inconceivable modern college is an absolute gem. an attractive room with a visible kitchen it offers quiet and effective as well (if not significantly better) a...experience than any top cooking restaurant in a kilometer radius. eating is skillful and creatiw cooked. the students radiate trust and charm. the prices are excellent. there are a series of “special” events and we look forward to the return and that will be of regularity"
