"Tues 14 March 2023 I’ve driven past this place so many times and finally booked to take my bestie for a birthday lunch. Thankful the staff were flexible and were fine with me bringing the booking forward an hour. Also good easy parking. Inside was welcoming, warm, and interesting. We both had soup to start, with 2 hefty lumps of bread butter. My friend followed with river trout which was a nice size and also had some shell fish with it as well as potatoes sauce. I had the butternut squash in a filo pastry parcel with peas sugar snaps also with a delicious sauce. Both courses were good portions and so nice not to have to then add on another plate of veg as is the case in some restaurants. We were dying to try either the sticky toffee pudding or cheese plate (me) but the meal was ample and we would have been piggies to eat any more. Next time next time!! We didn’t have any wine or alcohol as I was driving and my friend was working the next day so we just had a couple of pots of tea. The meal was a very worthwhile £76. I can highly recommend the Crabtree which, among other things, has the coveted Michelin award. Staggeringly it was v busy for a Tuesday lunchtime, but then if you will serve up excellent tasty food, have attentive kind staff and a lovely place to combine it all its not very surprising!!! "Absolutely fantastic! A big shoutout to the entire staff. We enjoyed a wonderful meal after another day of work rebuilding our home in Warnham. The service was prompt and the staff were incredibly attentive. It’s also a great spot to relax with a pint of real ale—my favorite being 'Doom Bar.' Keep up the excellent work! By the way, I hear the landlord, Peter, has been around for quite some time and is a very friendly guy. This pub is truly a vital part of the village. Thank you all once again!"

"fantastic! I booked a table for four here on a recommendation that they had a good vegan menu for a friend who celebrated their 80th birthday. the menu was really varied and worth a good one. the food we had was absolutely perfect. I hadn't changed anything. the place was clean and welcoming, good decoration and lots of space between tables. there was a good mood of lively chat and laugh, but it wasn't too loud. the staff was so friendly and very attentive. I just booked for my own high-time anniversary and looked for others to go back. highly recommended."

"Our friends live locally and were constantly telling us how good the curry was. We visited today and it was awful. Two couples, the men ordered the curry which arrived cold. They sent it back but there was no apology, it was reheated and sent back, one with no sauce, all dry. He got a refund. My husband ate his because he was so hungry. I had a starter as my main, which was Jamaican chicken strips served with salad. But all I got was some very wilted rocket, no other salad. Our plates and empty glasses weren’t cleared for a very long time either. Our friends were so apologetic as we visited based on their recommendation. Very disappointing."

"Arrived for dinner for my husbands 40th Birthday 2 weeks ago now after booking a month ahead for our celebration.Received an email earlier in the week reminding us of our reservation.Arrived suited and booted and excited to find the place in darkness!!No call, no sign, a pile of post on their mat!! We were furious, why couldn't we have at least gotten a call or an email to cancel our booking.Later found out the owner has decided to close permanently shame he gave no thought to actually doing the decent thing and telling people.We hadn't had a child free night out since before covid, had paid a babysitter and for taxis.....shame there was no Michelin Star service or thought to customers. Others people were also arriving disappointed!!"

"BEWARE This is a pub that we go to on a regular basis. However, the past couple of times we have been there, it has gone downhill. A group of 4 of us went there last night for drinks and food. The service for the drinks was slow but acceptable. For food we ordered one main course, one starter and 5 minutes after that order, a portion of chips was also ordered. The starter and main took ages to arrive, (the salt and pepper squid and the vegan burger). Unbelievably, as the server brought the squid across, the landlord/lady/manager? called him across and promptly took one of the pieces of squid off our plate and ate it! The server then brought the plate to our table. Obviously, we sent the plate back and told them we wanted it replaced with a fresh portion. Again, we waited ages before it arrived. About maybe 1 hour after ordering the chips, they still hadn't arrived (the pub was not busy, actually very empty for a Saturday night) we complained about the time taken for the chips, maybe 10 minutes later they finally arrived. So our gripes in summary, exceedingly slow service and a manager who thinks it's acceptable to eat food directly of a customers plate. No wonder it was empty. AVOID"

"Myself, Husband and our Son visited Cisswood House Hotel for lunch today. The food was nice, although the service left lots to desire. Our food arrived in a timely fashion, although then 35 mins after receiving dinner and having finished for 20+ minutes, there was no sign of our plates being collected and the next course being ordered. I went up to the bar to remind them that we were still here. Our plates were soon collected and dessert ordered. Another timely wait for 2 x brownies and a sticky toffee pudding, we were served pudding, exactly 1 hour and 2 minutes after our lunch was served. Trying to keep a 4year old occupied for this amount of time is not pleasurable, the opposite to what a lunch out should be. I also overheard 2 other complaints being made to staff during our visit there. It seems that there were only 2 members of staff to cover the restaurant and the bar area- this isn’t sufficient. I do not recommend here for families with young children, nor if you are looking for a quick lunch (by quick I mean 1.5 hours or less. We were there for 2 hours and I’m glad to be home after our visit)"

"The only pub in Storrington with a vibe. I've been there many times and it's always nice to see the same faces. The place is a little facelift, and I look forward to the changes. "absolutely creepy experience. visited for dinner. first, I have to congratulate the current owner that he has removed any unusual traditional country pub from what was a beautiful building. there are some feet to achieve this. I think a question of thinking about whether. good or bad, but it didn't feel friendly and relaxed and the acupuncture was terrible. so we went in and asked for a table to dinner. the waitress lifted her eyebrows in what I can only interpret as we are full and I don't know how to fit you away. but after some huffing and buffing it was about offering us a selection of tables. Apart from that, they were actually quite good and tried best there. Although she might stop using personal phones, the dinge would make better, as it was frustrating to get at a point for drinks attention. eating. I really don't know where to start. So I ordered a chickenburger. they just think. but with strange finds I think it's reasonable to expect something better than a macchicken sandwich. first I ordered and asked if I wanted to add speck and cheese. the check of the menu was included. they apologised and said that the burger had just been changed to a jäger burger, so there were mistakes. So it took a good time to get there. that was terrible. the hunch was dry, hard and chewing. the bungalow was dry. they did not bother with the cheese and pour so much heinz bbq sauce that it was the only taste. I guess that was an attempt to distract from the others. they were full of the oil that was not changed in a while. I think they were also fried two or three times and were even warm. it was so terrible that despite hunger I was not ready to try other food from the kitchen. the waitress offered to replace. that said no manager came by and the staff seemed to return to a complaining about eating. we visited the cook several times. on each one he appeared obsessed with chatting the young girls who are in the pub. several paintings bring them to eat or encourage them to come to him so that he could have a chat. so I should finally say that the pub is overtaken by young groups of people. I don't think they were all old enough to drink. they were clearly all of families who knew and were rude and did not care for others. the personal has done nothing to moderate behavior that should not be acceptable in any pub. at the end I went hungry and left a full drink and shocked and thought about how quickly a pub was ruined. very sad. I will never come back!"

"I have visited this restaurant multiple times and my go-to dish is usually the delicious sweet and tangy "huh." However, on my last visit, I decided to try the teriyaki salmon dish. The salmon was well marinated and served with teriyaki vegetables. I will definitely be ordering this dish again in the future. Additionally, I highly recommend trying the dorayaki here, especially the cream cheese and anko flavors."

"We often used to get a takeaway from here but I would really resent getting another one. The food is great, no complaints at all, but the customer service can be appalling. ordered our meal at 7pm and was told it wouldn 't be ready until 8pm. So I arrived just after 8pm, to be told it would be another 15 mins. They took my money at this point so I couldn 't escape. The place was full of other customers who were also waiting for their food, only half of whom were wearing masks (despite the 'no mask no entry ' sign, no one asked them to wear a mask or go outside). So, anyway we went and waited outside, (it was cold). After 15 mins I went back in to ask if it was ready...another 10 mins. Eventually I asked if they would bring the food out to us, which they did at 8.40pm 40 mins after they said it would be ready, 1 hour and 40 mins after I ordered. We got a half hearted sorry its late , when personally I thought, at the very least, they should have given us a bag of prawn crackers as way of apology... in fact we didn 't get the fortune cookies they usually include. By the time we got our food, we were incredibly hungry, it was way past the kid 's bedtime and it just kinda ruined the whole thing. Would definitely think twice before ordering from them again."

"Ordered directly through the restaurant, never had food so hot and so quick in my life. I think my use of Uber and just eat days are over. Food is of a much better quality when contacting restaurants direct and using their own drivers. So happy to finally have decent food delivered for the 1st time in weeks. I’ve had chaos with so many restaurants in Horsham this past month with poor quality and incorrect items. So it was so nice to have such a good meal last night. I start to come 7 days by 7 in Horsham Shop trying to solve my Anxiety problems in public places. It’s works for a time I done this for one year and half already . Some employees was very rude and completely disrespectful ! All together created a real bullying and keep it like this for years. And after all years past already they keep going in the same way , even yesterday I hear them speaking about me not the nicest way.Between Rebbeca and it’s the short girl ex gymnastics very rude person. I’m Mihaela ex boyfriend, I’m not very well after we broke , and I still love Her so much . But all this need to remain between me and Her, not involving work friends,friends or to keep them involved when it’s over , bad energy for everyone, employees or customers. They are not there to get involved in outers past or problems or what people doing in they privacy,home , love stories ,life. "Had a reservation for 8 last Sunday for a birthday lunch. The Olive Branch is a lovely pub, warm and inviting and the staff are attentive and friendly. Most of us decided to go for the Sunday Roast. Unfortunately,we had not seen the size of these before we ordered starters and mains and I think only 1 person managed to eat everything. The portion sizes are big!! That is not a complaint but a compliment, we just struggled when we got to the desserts lol!! All in all the food was lovely. The main courses could've been a little hotter, they were not stone cold just not piping hot but the pub was busy so it's to be expected. We all went away happy and overfed!"

"Great staff, very helpful and with a sense of humour. Lamb vindaloo and King prawn vindaloo very nice and not just full of lumps of potato in spicy tomato sauce. Rice wasnt sweaty. Naan really well made so wasn't like eating shoe leather. This was a TA but would definitely go for a sit down next time. Not super cheap but then again not just trays of oil so you do most definitely get what you pay for. Will be going back again as its nice to have proper food than go for something greasy and cheap then regret it the day after. Vegetarian options: Its an Indian restaurant. Dietary restrictions: I would say this was more of a religious dietary requirement. If you have an allergy itd be wise to check in advance regardless because why wouldnt you? Parking: Parking is easy. Car park isnt massive but its not tiny either. Just look on google maps. If the parking is crazy bisy pretty sure you can park at Sainsburys up the road after 8pm for nothing and its a 5 min walk to the restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Its a big ground floor plot and while it's not all ramps etc Im pretty sure it can be easily navigated. Didnt check the toilets out though so maybe ring and ask as mobility requirements and mobility aids are varied. So India are really approachable so best just confirm. "We were looking for a pub for lunch having visited Leonardslee gardens, and saw the Plough. Getting in to the pub was a bit of a challenge: what appeared to be the main door was locked despite a sign outside saying open. We ended up trying all the doors until we find one that opened. The kitchen was not fully staffed so a limited lunch menu was on offer, but that suited our needs so we were not inconvenienced. Food was served quickly. We sat in the garden but the parasol pole was not well secured so ended up knocking over one of our drinks. The staff were pleasant but signage to the way in, and attention to the parasols have brought down our rating for this property."

"We enjoy dining at this restaurant whenever we are in Horsham. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined yesterday by an extremely rude customer who was disrespectful towards the waitress and even the junior manager. It was evident to the other diners that a group of three ladies and their children had finished all their food and then complained in order to get a free meal. I felt sorry for the staff, as they were just trying to do their job and were subjected to such rude behavior."
