"Brought my parents here one afternoon as my third visit in weeks this place is truly unmissable. An incredible range of cakes and tray bakes, everybody will find something they love. We shared black forest gateau, chocolate mousse cake and raspberry and marscapone...cake. All three were incredible. Really enjoyed the traditional food (large portions! do ask for half-size portions for the kids - in fact, our kids barely managed those!), the quaint music-theme decor and the friendly service. We had the Sülze (jellied meat dish) and Brathering (which I had expected to be hot, but it's served cold/pickled. The kids had a noodle dish and the tomato soup - both were really good. "Wie schon öfters erwähnt, wenn man dem Studentenalter entwachsen ist, dann ist es es gar nicht so leicht etwas vom Jenaer Nachtleben zu haben. eine Ausnahme ist die Weintanne. Das Essen habe ich mich ja schon einmal lobend erwähnt. Dieses Mal möchte ich etwas Positives über die Bar der Weintanne los werden. Was als ersten auffällt ist das sehr hilfsbereite und geschulte Personal und dass im Hintergrund Barjazz läuft. Gute Musikauswahl, so wie ich es mag. Dann gibt es eine sehr große Auswahl an Getränken. Schade nur, dass man immer nur wenige probieren kann. Von den Klassikern hatten wird dann einen Mojito probiert. Ergebnis sehr gut und einer der besten Mojito die wir je hatten, sowohl vom Geschmack als auch wie er serviert wurden. Haben dann noch einen Peter Special probiert, der eine sehr gute Mischung aus Gin, Angostura, Limette und Tonic ist, war eine echtes Highlight. Nicht ganz so begeistert war ich vom Blackfoot Tonic, der aus Gin, Grappa, Tonic und Limette besteht. Die Mischung aus Gin und Grappa klingt interessant, hat mich aber dann doch nicht ganz überzeugt. Aber es gibt ja noch viele andere Drinks auf der Karte, und wir nehmen die Herausforderung an uns da durchzukosten. Ums zusammenzufassen, ausgezeichnete Drinks, angenehme Atmosphäre, nettes Personal, da passt einfach alles."

"The food is decent here with the adana kebab being enjoyable along with the provided side dish. A friend tried the minced meat with Aubergine starter which also seemed to be a value for money dish considering the amount provided. However the diced lamb dish was a bit tough to chew and seemed less palatable than the other dishes. Overall the ambience of the place is nice. The portion sizes could be slightly improved for some of the dishes though."

"Trotz dass ich einen anderen Döner-Imbiss direkt vor der Tür habe fahre ich jedes mal lieber zu Dersimo und die häufigen Schlangen in den Abendstunden untermauern auch wieso. Das Essen schmeckt einfach unglaublich gut, egal ob Döner, Pizza oder Nudeln. Speziell die Carbonara ist für einen Dönerladen absolute Spitze! Die Betreiber sind zudem überdurchschnittlich nett und zuvorkommend und die Preise für Getränke deutlich unter dem Durchschnitt. Vielen Dank für viele köstliche Momente! (Lediglich die Sitzmöglichkeiten vor Ort könnten etwas verbessert werden."

"The restaurant is definitely worth a visit, but be aware of the service staff that cannot meet the standards of this promising place and pricy menu (later more). That's why only points... The whole hotel including the restaurant has been refurbished in and...looks completely different. The new European-Arabic style is unique in town. So we have tried the restaurant on a special occasion for dinner. Reservation was friendly and we were told that a group was expected around the time we booked. When we arrived the waiter did not welcome us at all. Just a dull follow me came out of his mouth. No please you are welcome a smile or whatever you would think is appropriate. We also thought that it would be appropriate to explain something about the concept of the restaurant or about the specialities. Unfortunately: nothing at all. Furthermore, when we were waiting for our food/drinks service staff was loudly talking and laughing when they set up the other part of the restaurant. The menu looks promising and naturally you will find upper-priced starters, mains, desserts and drinks. The kardamom aperitif tastes really good and should be promoted by the staff and not just by the menu!!! The starters (asparagus soup, cream soup with chili) were really good. They serve bread, but no butter. You will find out the reason very soon: The small plate is not a normal plate for bread. You pour oil into it and dip the bread. Even though this might be typical in arabic countries, staff should explain it. First, to guide customers who are probably not familiar with that kind of cuisine and secondly, they could create a real experience. So we had to ask. At least they told us that they would bring butter on request. What a surprise: Between our starters and main dishes we have got a mini soup in a tea glass with the note that the mains are going to arrive very soon. This is really nice. On the other hand, you could think that they outweigh a mistake in the kitchen. The main dishes (cat fish and asparagus with veal) were very good, tasty and filling. Our wine choice matched the food quite good. The desserts (ice cream, chocolate mousse) looked really good and tasted very good. In the end we tried the Kardamom coffee which is a nice finish. The food is really, really good and exceptional for the city which is not known to be that culinary. You can compare it to the Scala restaurant on top of the Intershop Tower. But: The service is not meeting the high standards of the kitchen. We cannot blame the trainee who was doing her best. My napkin had two holes. The welcome drink glass was not properly cleaned. And in my wine glass were big pieces of dust that you could see with your eyes. All of the three things did not impact too much on the experience so I did not say anything. But those things need to be perfect for the prices you pay! The waiter who showed us our table was not really up to standard on other tables as well. That's why: The service needs an upgrade. A natural welcome and smile should be standard. An explanation about the European-Arabic concept could make a difference. Make it exciting, bring in some dynamic. If I want to have a normal/standard/boring evening I could go somewhere else. The kitchen put such an effort in the menu and the service ruins it. If it won't change, I can go further to eat traditional Thuringian food for less and a similar service. I will be sure to get value for money there. Again, the service is the only reason the restaurant gets points. However, it deserves"

"Gemütlicher Gasthof mit gutem Essen. Die Teller sind liebevoll zurechtgemacht. Ebenso die Tische, die Blumendeko macht sich gut. Insgesamt eine nostalgische Gaststuben-Wohnzimmer-Atmosphäre, in der man sich wohlfühlt. Biergarten können wir nicht beurteilen, da es draußen regnete. Es ist aus unserer Sicht gut, dass es solche Gasthöfe wie die traditionsreiche Linde noch gibt, denn woanders sind sie manchmal (oder sollte ich schreiben: oft ? verschwunden. Sie setzen die Tradition alter Dorfgasthöfe fort und sind auch sozialer Kristallisationspunkt. Gegenüber den im Internet vorab vorzufindenden lückenhaften Speisekartenauszügen fanden wir bei unserem Besuch dann tatsächlich auch eine gute Auswahl an Bieren, davon drei frisch vom Fass und aus der Region. Auch die Weinauswahl war bei unserem Besuch wesentlich größer und ansprechender als vorab online zu finden (bei Google oder der Gasthof-Homepage nur zwei weiße und zwei rote offene Weine . Tatsächlich gab es fünf rote Weine (davon ein regionaler und sieben weiße (davon fünf regionale aus Saale Unstrut , die glasweise bestellt werden konnten. Gut! Natürlich gibt es auch Limonaden, Säfte, Soft Drinks und Wasser von Thüringer Waldquell. Fair die Auswahl an Kindergerichten: von Kloß mit Rotkohl und Soße, über Kartoffelpuffer mit Apfelmus sowie Schnitzelstreifen mit Pommes reicht die Auswahl bis zu Fischstreifen mit Pommes, alles in der Preisspanne von 5,10 bis 6,60 €. Gern poste ich die aktuelle Speisekarte (siehe Bilder . Ach ja, der WC-Zugang ist über den Hof, für uns kein Problem, auch das ist Nostalgie."

"...zumindest hatten wir am 03.Oktober 2013 den Eindruck beim Besuch zum Mittagessen in Ziegenhain. Neben uns waren noch drei andere Familien / Wanderer, die sich zunächst erst einmal mühevoll an der Speisenausgabe anstellen mussten um ihre Bestellung aufzugeben. Danach durften Schritt für Schritt zunächst die Getränke und dann die Speisen einzeln abgeholt werden. Der Wirt ( er ist wahrscheinlich zu dick zum gehen ) und sein Gehilfe waren nicht darauf eingerichtet am Tisch zu bedienen, statt dessen spielte sich alles an der Durchreiche der Außentür ab, so dass gebrauchtes Geschirr und Gläser in Eintracht mit den abzuholenden Speisen nebeneinander standen. Neben dem Goulasch für 10 Euro war nur noch das Milchzicklen für knapp 20 Euro zu haben, dazu gab es eine Spezi (0,4 Liter für drei Euro) und Bier im Krug (was ich nicht so mag).Ach ja, auch Kloß mit Soße (6,40 Euro) war noch im Programm.Die Speisen waren guter Durchschnitt, allerdings die Soßen mit Sahne zu Tode "verfeinert".Zum Abschluss bestellten (holten ) wir uns noch einen Espresso, automatisch gab es zwei Doppelte, die wir gar nicht wollten (die aber mit 7 Euro nochmals gut die Rechnung gefüllt hätten). Nach unserem Einwand wurde uns Mißgelaunt erklärt, man müsse schon sagen, dass man einen einfachen Espresso möchte, die doppelte Variante wäre ebenso wie bei allen anderen Getränken der Standard.Insgesamt ist das Lokal nicht zu empfehlen, qualitativ ist es nichts Besonderes, dafür wird bei den Preisen ordentlich abgezogen.Service ist nicht gerade das Hauptaugenmerk, von den Standardgrößen der Speisen (je nur ein Kloß) wird man nicht satt, einen Espresso oder Underberg braucht man durch die sahnigen Speisen aber trotzdem."

"Mittwochabend im Biergarten. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Der Service aufmerksam. Wartezeit total angemessen, Vorspeisen und Hauptgang gut abgestimmt zeitlich und noch mal vom Servicepersonal erfragt. Wir hatten Carpaccio, Mozarella in Parmaschinken und eine Pizza. Die Pizza mit guten und knusprigen Teig und gut belegt, genau richtig. Preis Leistung fanden wir total angemessen. Geschmacklich alles super und schön angerichtet. Wein war lecker, einzigst der Rotwein war für unseren Geschmack zu warm. Wurde aber auf Wunsch ausgetauscht. Klare Empfehlung, für Schlechtwetter auch drinnen oder im angrenzenden Zelt geeignet. Ruhig gelegen in Jena Ost aber gut erreichbar. Italiener in Jena, für uns gerne wieder. DANKE."

"Der letzte Besuch und die gemischten Erfahrungen. Meine letzte Bewertung vom September 2023 sag anders aus. Insgesamt gebe ich der Erfahrung 3 von 5 Sternen, da das Essen hervorragend war, der Service jedoch deutliche Schwächen aufwies. Essen: 5 von 5 Sternen Das Essen war wirklich ausgezeichnet. Sowohl die Vorspeisen als auch die Pizzen waren geschmacklich top. Die Zutaten waren frisch, die Pizzen knusprig und gut belegt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass alle drei Pizzen auf den Punkt gebacken waren und die Vorspeisen ebenfalls sehr lecker zubereitet wurden. Hier gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Service: 2 von 5 Sternen Leider hat der Service den Gesamteindruck stark getrübt. Zunächst wurden uns falsche Limonaden gebracht, obwohl wir explizit nach den Sorten gefragt hatten. Es stellte sich heraus, dass unsere Bedienung noch in der Ausbildung für einen anderen Standort war, und eine andere Bedienung musste einspringen, um das Problem Getränke zu beheben. Das ist verständlich, aber dennoch ärgerlich. Auch bei den Vorspeisen gab es einen Fauxpas: Das Brot wurde vergessen und erst nachgeliefert, nachdem wir darauf hingewiesen hatten. Solche Kleinigkeiten summieren sich leider und hinterlassen einen unprofessionellen Eindruck. Der größte Kritikpunkt kam jedoch bei der Bezahlung: Uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass wir einen Aufschlag von 10 auf das gesamte Essen zahlen müssten, weil wir eine Pizza einpacken lassen wollten. Nachdem wir nachgefragt hatten, wurde das ganze relativiert mit dem Worten. Ich wollte nur einen Witz machen. Der Service trübte den ansonsten positiven Eindruck des Essens erheblich."

"We are a grouped family based in Hamburg, Bremen, Berlin and Munich. On the occasion of a family meeting in Jena (the Ur Opa had a print shop we visited the restaurant Landgrafen. "freundliche Bedienung in einem liebevoll und interessant gestalteten kleinem Restaurant. Die Gerichte sind interessant gestaltet und die Kompositonen sind durchaus authentisch. Alle Zutaten sind frisch,aberleider sind die Zutaten durch den gigantischen Einsatz von Fertigsossen, Soja -, Teriyaki- und Sesamsauce etc. eher erschlagen und das was fernöstliche Küche ausmacht Leichtigkeit, sehr gute geschmackliche Abstimmung von Zutaten und Gewürzen bleibt vollständig auf der Strecke. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass hier vielleicht einfach ursprünglicher gekocht wird, um dem furchtbaren Los der chinesischen Fertigwarentempel zu entgehen. Die aisatische Küche ermöglicht es mit Leichtigkeit."
