"Generally caused by Corona and thus also changed conditions and opening hours of restaurants, our connoisseurs club meetings could not take place as usual. It's good that we have only two members, so that we can fulfill a lot of requirements. The meeting should take place in Cologne and start with a lunch – preferably in a place we don't know yet, but promises some pleasure, faithful to our club purpose: enjoy. Almost all the restaurants we still had on the list opened in the evening. After a short search, the choice fell to the restaurant Bridges – even near the railway station. “Feine Seasonal Greek Country House Kitchen” promises the homepage. That sounded good, so we reserved for two people. Ambiente The house does not look particularly welcoming from the outside. But as Helmut Tstallges said: Not the cage, but the bird must sing. Inside, it turns out that the restaurant is quite small and has only a few tables – well reserved. The facility also corresponds more to a brewhouse; because the tables are “blank”. On the one outer wall there is a large picture with a bridge, matching the name. On the other hand, there is a huge mirror – this makes the place a little bigger. Even a bowling alley belongs to the house. Before the restaurant became, it was a cafe: On the windows is the small inscription: cakes made themselves. But for over four years now the husbands Melios have been working here. Cleanliness Everything was well maintained. The sanitary area was clean but relatively simple and jewelleryless. Service The homepage gives a rough overview of food and beverages. But I was still unclear what awaits us at noon. So I wrote an email to the boss. She asked for a phone number and promptly called back because a conversation is simpler than sending texts back and forth. I have rarely experienced such a service beforehand. We then discussed roughly three courses: Greek appetizers, a piece of the “old cow” and a dessert surprise. The man also came to the phone and suggested some Greek wines to accompany. When we arrived and called our name, we were warmly welcomed and led to a window. Also the cook came out of the kitchen and asked if he could start as discussed. During the entire stay, we were always very kindly asked about our wishes and wondered if everything went to our satisfaction. It was a natural and real hospitality in my eyes. Round 2: Meat Entrecôte from the “old cow” with potatoes and Mediterranean paste The meat was gently roasted and therefore had light red stars on the outside. Inside it was medium in Gargrad. It was only salted and peppered. We also received three dips in sharp, mild and spicy. But I liked the meat. Since the “steaks” also had “fat spots” on the edge and inside, the taste was pleasantly spicy. Of course, we didn’t eat all these “wabbely” parts. But already tried; for they finally have taste, but are sometimes difficult to chew. But we knew that before. The sagging and lean sections were also delicious – not as soft as fillet, but very characteristic and aromen intensive. We neglected the potatoes. The paste or cream, which probably consisted mainly of aubergine, tomato and zucchini, reminded me tastefully of ratatouille that one has processed into a pile. It was creamy, soft but also well seasoned. Round 3: After dinner chocolate cubes with liquid core At the end we received a small chocolate cake. He had a liquid core and tasted how to expect this kind. It is good that no major other components have been added, otherwise we could have “placed”. "In der Jahnstraße gibt es gleich nebeneinander zwei persische Lokale. Beide sind recht ansprechend, aber wir haben uns dann doch für das Sadaf entschieden. Es ist ein übersichtliches Lokal das modern eingerichtet ist, also ohne den oft zu findenden Kitsch orientalischer Lokale. Das Personal ist von Anfang an sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und trotz vollem Lokal auch sehr schnell- Wir hatten einen Vorspeisenteller mit einem Spinatkuchen, Auberginen, Weinblätter und sehr lecker Oliven mit einer leicht süßlichen Sauce. Als Aufmerksamkeit des Hauses bekommt man dann noch MInze und Persillie, Schafkäse sowie Zwiebel und Peperoni uns ein sehr gutes Fladenbrot Alle Komponenten waren ausgesprochen lecker und mit einem Vorspeisenteller haben drei Personen das Auslangen. Sehr positiv man wird gefragt ob denn nun die Hauptspeise gewünscht wird, oder ob man noch ein wenig Zeit braucht die Vorspeise sich setzen zu lassen. Zur Haupspeise hatten wir Hühner, und Lammspieße in unterschiedlichen Variationen bzw Kombinationen. Vor allem das Lammfleisch war sehr gut gewürzt, und was noch wichtiger ist sehr gut gegrillt. Genug Röstaromen auf der Außenseite und innen noch zart und saftig. Die Grilltomate die bei allen drei Gerichten dabei war, war nach meinen Geschmack schon etwas zu schwarz. Dagegen perfekt war wieder der Reis, sowohl von der Konsistenz als auch vom Geschmack. Kurz und gut es war ein sehr sehr gutes Abendessen, fasst perfekt und großes Geschmackserlbnis."

"This unending 2nd lockdown annoys. In order to counter the weekly Tristesse at least a bit, I decided to invite a restaurant to us home as soon as possible every weekend. Looking for a cooking box offer incl. Shipping I hit the ATHT. Mr. Tischnotizen had already published a contribution to GastroGuide. This naturally contributed to my ordering pleasure. And fortunately, on request it was kindly affirmed that the box can also be shipped. So my contact person Mr. Raiko Steininger Krowirando and I agreed quickly with short email traffic. I ordered the current menu with 4 courses to € 108,00 plus. Ship for my husband and me. All deliveries of the cooking boxes worked so far perfectly. And so here. Friday morning, the package messenger rang with the cooled goods. Very neatly packed in reusable polystyrene container. The components of the menu, as far as possible, in paper containers. Lockdown Menu@home: Delivery I quickly saw: the salad had to the appetizer, due to transport, unfortunately quite abandoned. The green asparagus tips were fortunately still ok. The salad could be picked up. Otherwise, everything looked like a successful “must in May”. On Saturday I was looking forward to my relaxed kitchen with the ACHT. I had refreshed the salad for the appetizer from the local organic farm and with local “weed farm”. There was a good description to complete the dishes. Own initiative was demanded in ordering. Appetizer: Lachstatar Avocado – Spargel – Walnuss Limetten Crème fraiche – Blini – Caviar. The airy blinis were briefly baked in the oven. The other ingredients of the appetizer were dressed cold. Ruckzuck does a wonderful appetizer gave the start! The Lachstatar not cut too fine and tastefully impeccable, finely tuned and of very good fresh quality. The combination with creamy avocado and still crisp green asparagus perfectly matched the salmon. Porree and beech mushrooms very delicate. Overall, with mild spicing, a very convincing and new combination for us. Dessert: Granola – Berry – Apricot – Sparkling Brewer behind this description came (1! true chocolate! The second was more like a horse kiss. There was a need for full braking during transport! Yin Yang Dessert So there was a placocus for my husband. The berries, for me very fine Red Grütze (as from Erna Müller, Callbach, greetings in the sky, perfectly matched to the filigreely crafted Törtchen. The hull of delicate chocolate covered an airy cream with apricot-yellow seed. Granola Knuspermüsli with canned nuts ensured the crunchy component. Lockdown Menu@home: Granola – Berry – Apricot – Sparkling My Dessert is a **** chocolate disaster. Splash! There it was! Bloodbath with berries and accident Schokokuss ; The accident did not harm the taste (not even the Tarte Tatin was due to a kitchen accident?) The humor should also be lost in coronary times (I hate this term). A very good combination of sweetness, subtle acidity and crispy. We could enjoy a great menu here. Thank you for being possible! "My sister and I came in here one week ago on Thursday for lunch! I m aware about the pressure and the difficult that waiters and chefs and all the kitchen staff live during the shift. There are times, expectations and different requests and standards to satisfy. That's why I m always nice and polite with who is going to serve my meal. Is a plus that my sister is a chef too, working in Germany since 7 years now.We politely ordered a typical German sausage/wurst.. asking if was possible to swap the potatoes with some fries. Thanks to my sister and her fluent German we've been able to "deal" with our waiter Mr. Mrkaic who shout in our face and capturing the attention of all the people around, saying that he couldn't be bothered with this. This was the menù Apparently The kitchen was on the floor 254738.. he couldn't be able to get in there, do the stairs and ask for it. If we don't want something we leave it and we order something else separately. He had no time to waste. Now.. We ve just made a question. No mentioning how blessed we are in 2017 with all this technology.. we both agree that "No, sorry" was enough.The fact that Mrkaic could be my father , doesn't allow him to shout in my face being totally unrespectful in front of so many people.The fact that there wasn't any manager around caring about the situation, and that this restaurant has a really good position, really close to the Cologne Cathedral and for sure has no prob to be reached by a lot of tourist.. neither! We were about to leave suddenly. Not even waiting for the food. Time that I ve tried to catch someone and ask the bills, one of our plates came out. We're really different from Mr. Mrkaic. So because the food was already out the kitchen and we respect the work of other people, we had our lunch. Feeling uncomfortable and leaving the place as soon as possible. NEVER AGAIN ."
