"Located on a side street, Le Marecage can be a bit hard to find. No parking on the street, a parking lot is a short walk away. Le Marecage had been recommended by several locals. The food was very good, I had the schnitzel, could...not be beat. The owner met us at the door but was reluctant to seat an English speaking party of four. He claimed he had a large party, but the restaurant was almost empty. He did finally agree to set us at the bar. During our dining experience it became clear the bartender was in fact the owner, he was also the greeter and cashier. English speaking parties were routinely turned away, German speaking parties were seated immediately. The owner spoke good English and during dinner we did develop somewhat of a rapport. The food was good, the beer was cold. If you are thinking of dinner at Le Marecage, and you should, find a German speaking front man to get you in the door. I got the feeling the owner wanted to avoid becoming a tourist spot, choosing to remain for the locals."
