"I recently had the pleasure of dining at an authentic Indian restaurant, and I must say that the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The great Indian food and its impeccable quality left a lasting impression on my taste buds and culinary sensibilities. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted by the enticing aroma of spices and herbs that are the heart and soul of Indian cuisine. The ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the stage for an unforgettable gastronomic adventure. The menu offered a wide array of dishes, each more tempting than the last. Whether you're a fan of vegetarian delights or a meat lover, there's something for everyone in Indian cuisine. I decided to try a mix of both, and I wasn't disappointed. The flavors in each dish were vibrant and distinctive. The use of various spices and seasonings created a symphony of tastes that danced on my palate. I savored the buttery richness of Chicken Tikka Masala, the aromatic essence of Biryani, and the delightful crunch of Samosas. The quality of the ingredients and the expertise of the chefs were evident in every bite. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, guiding me through the menu and offering recommendations that perfectly complemented my choices. They also accommodated my spice preferences, ensuring that my meal was tailored to my liking. The restaurant's commitment to quality was evident not only in the food but also in the presentation. Each dish was a work of art on a plate, beautifully garnished and served with care."

"Excellent Lebanese restaurant where we went twice, each time having different menus. Large selection of food and wine. The dishes are really tasty and the portions are generous. We also chose this establishment for a catering service and everything went perfectly. All the guests enjoyed themselves."

"A birthday meal that will leave us with excellent memories thanks to the warm welcome from the entire La Carillère team as well as the delicious and copious dishes that were served to us. Perch fillets, beef medallions with morels or even entrecôte on slate, everything was perfect. Thank you very much, we will come back very soon for sure!"

"Looking at the name of the restaurant, I thought it was Beijing cuisine, but when I arrived and looked at the menu, I realized it was Cantonese cuisine. Every piece of the roasted duck had crispy skin when it was first served. The fried pork ribs with salt and pepper garlic sauce were soft and not greasy. The stir-fried beef river was a little lumpy but had the flavor of the pot. The chrysanthemum tea is delicious, and the fifteen moon dessert is so delicious. The service is very attentive and always takes the initiative to add water to the tea. The environment is very good. The wooden carved screens, carved cabinets and koi fish pond are very refreshing as soon as you enter. Be sure to book in advance, it's almost fully booked for dinner on a Friday."

"Very friendly and beautiful restaurant! We had the octopus and the steak with chimichurri sauce and that was really excellent! The cocktails were also very original and tasty. Very recommended."

"Restaurant located near the city center. The decoration is quite simple without fuss, wooden tables and chairs. Small terrace in summer. The food is mainly Greek. They offer tasting menus, mezze or dishes to share. I had the souvlakia , namely chicken skewers with homemade fries, pita bread, and yogurt sauce. Very good quality. I recommend"

"Frankly unhappy with the quality of the food served. Chosen to help out, I didn't expect the moon when ordering a taco, but still: Little meat, stuffed with undercooked fries, all bathed in an overdose of sauce, to the point that you think you're eating porridge. The kebab meat doesn't come from a roll, the sauces are large industrial tubes. For an unsurprising result: disgusting, difficult to finish such bad food. Another problem is the price: 14CHF for a simple taco, with no extras other than tomatoes, and a drink, it's way too much. And when it's this bad, it's a scam. No real welcome on arrival, the staff seems to be waiting for you to order at the terminals. Then, familiar but friendly service. Unfortunately, no miracle, even for fast food, even for tacos, you don't invent yourself as a restaurateur..."

"Nice discovery! Service was very kind ! Very attentive ! Large choices of plates with meat, fish or vegetarian option. We had an “amuse bouche” offered by the restaurant ! Then we had the foie gras with mangue and bread ! Nicely presented and tasty ! I tried the risotto with mascarpone which portion was enormous! Great diner ! Highly recommended!"

"Great atmosphere and inner city urban vibe. We visited on a beaut early spring day and it was bright and inviting inside. Well stocked bar and small but well thought menu. Tomato bruschetta was a flavourful start. We both ordered tartare andalou , level 3 spicy. It wasn’t that spicy but staff brought more hot sauce and we got there???? Excellent meat quality and fast service. Open on Sundays which is always a bonus in Vaud."

"As a person whose first choice would not normally be Chinese cuisine I have to say that this was the best, most edible meal that we both had during our week's holiday in Lausanne. It was also the best value we had for our money during our stay. The lady serving us could not have been more attentive to us. The service was impeccable. This restaurant is not very noticable and is in a shopping mall style building which looked closed. We decided unsurely to go up in the lift and see what was upstairs and wow were our eyes opened. A beautifully decorated indoor restaurant and spotlessy clean. We were led to an outdoor rooftop area which was beautiful on a warm night."

"I loved the atmosphere, the room is large and not noisy, nicely decorated. Service is efficient and professional. In my opinion, the dishes are a bit over priced compared to the quality. The meat/fish origin isn't mentioned. And it's required to paid for tap water."

"We wound up going here out of desperation when the blue lizard was closed during lunch hours- thankfully they had very clear menus stating which items had “traces of gluten” and which were a hard gluten free. Admittedly the options for the latter were pretty limited, but they had a few fish dishes, safe chips and guac, some kind of bean dish started, and a salad. I’m not a fish person so I was stuck with a salad and chips lol- but hey, desperate times. Was grateful for their understanding and good English atleast!"

"I went to the Chat Noir with some friends this evening, and had quite high expectations given the good reviews it had; unfortunately, I left the place disappointed. The restaurant was clean, the employees were really friendly, and the menu looked quite tasty. I ordered some veal with mushrooms, while my wife had lobster. The problem is, both of those were really, really too salty. I finished my meal one hour ago, and I can still only feel the salt in my mouth... If that was a regular restaurant, I might have given it three stars. But given the high price tag, I don't think it's worth more than two. I definitely won't be going there again."

"If I am counting correctly this was my sixth visit to this place within the past two years. To me this restaurant is one of the hidden gems of Lausanne gastronomy. Located underneath the cathedral, and easily accessible from Place de la Riponne (Metro/Parking) the restaurant looks very traditional from the outside, but gives an idea of the food experience when entering the beautifully designed newer part of the restaurant. The menu offers seasonal specialties and all-season classics, plus a daily changing lunch menu. This time I started with ravioli with black truffles, followed by a perfectly fried loup-de-mer with caviar and black rice. Desserts were all very tempting, but I was already quite full, so I decided to go for delicious artisanal ice cream and sorbet. The whole experience was accompanied by a 2015 “Il Borro” from Tuscany. Dishes can be pricey, the loup-de-mer was CHF 69, which can easily explained by the generous amount of caviar. My wife had chosen the ravioli with white truffles from the lunch menu, which came with the choice of the soup of the day or a mixed salad. We had a friend with us, who picked the very tender pork knuckle from the lunch menu. Both lunch suggestions were absolutely delicious as well, and are a very good option if you like to watch your budget. Service was very attentive, fast and friendly (and if this matters to you: she spoke fluent German). Overall, another experience that makes me already thinking of my next visit to this restaurant."

"Not vegetarian friendly. Despite telling them in advance that 2 of our family members were vegetarian, the staff, despite being very professional and welcoming , seemed surprised and the restaurant not ready to take care of vegetarians. The vegetarian choice were poor (2 out of the whole menu), and the plates were tasteless (it was a bunch of vegetable cooked and put together) Amuse bouche were some raw roots vegetable, with no flavor. The restaurant sells itself as “bio, green and local”, hence the disappointment was there when in fact they had no decent vegetarian alternatives."
