"Mein Freund und ich haben uns für den Salon Casablanca entschieden,da wir gern diese Art Küche mögen und es ein kleiner Geheimtipp war,abseits des ganzen Troubles der Innenstadt.Wunderschön,authentisch eingerichtetes Lokal mit viel liebe zum Detail.Kleiner Bereich zum draußen sitzen,an der Straße,was aber nicht stört.Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und berät einen super bei der Wahl der Speisen und Getränke.Wir hatten das vegetarische Couscous mit Gemüse und einen Mango-Lassie.Absolut super.Preise sind vollkommen in Ordnung.Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen,für alle,die nicht im gern im Großstadtdschungel und Überangebot an Pizza,Pasta und Co. untergehen möchten."

"Lovely staff and dog-friendly. The Vegabunt pizza was quite decent, but considering you can get a vegan pizza twice the size for the same price or cheaper right around the corner (at La Mia Pizza) I wouldn’t buy it again. Overall too pricey for the area in my opinion."

"it seems that you enter a living room when you open the door, the atmosphere and the voluntary are beautiful. the possible pizzeria teig and topping combinations are endless and they also offer mock meat products from soy or since. I usually don't order vegan cheeze on pizza, but I really liked their homemade version! they also offer a large selection of glittering lemonades/mother etc. and beer. we really enjoyed our time and our meal there."

"the atmosphere in the restaurant is very family and cozy. the crew around the chef tiziano is very open and friendly. also tiziano likes to come out of the kitchen and speaks with the customers. he told us that everything is 100% fresh and he does not resort to any additives that might make him work a little easier. I tried the self-righteous gnocchi, which really tasted great. most ingredients that use the cook are also originally made of italia, which I think was also tasted. above all, as small as the olive oil at the focaccia or the grand padang that came over the gnocchi.I definitely like to come back to eat!"

"Came here on a Saturday afternoon to watch football . They were showing one Bundesliga game upstairs and a different one downstairs so good there was a choice. As it was Saturday afternoon I was keen to keep track of how my team in England...were doing but there was no 4G coverage inside. When I asked for the the WiFi password I was told it was only available for staff which I thought was rather poor hence I had to keep nipping outside every 10 Mins. Nevertheless they do have a good selection of draft beer and there are screens all over the place to watch the games. The service was also quite poor, at one point I had to wait more than 15 mins to get a refil."

"I cannot understand the negative reviews. We always like to go to Maharani and this time the visit was a festival. The service is scary friendly, the food mega tasty and hot as well. "This restaurant has a very wide range of choice and it was hard to choose. We ended up ordering dishes for persons to share, planning to take the rest home with us, but it was so delicious, we hardly had anything left to...take home. That's not to say the portions were small, as portions were actually gigantic, but it was just so amazing! I ordered Murg Nawabi, the Chef's Special, with prumes and apricots in the sauce, which I never saw in any Indian restaurant before, and it was great. My wife chose chicken Tikka Masala, which I'm aware is not authentic' Indian food, but it was the freshest and best Tikka Masala I've ever tasted. The chicken Korma had fresh pieces of apple and was also very delicious. The only disappointment was the fried Dal we chose as a side dish, which was severy lacking in spices and flavour, but it did not bring the evening's total experience down, still the best Indian restaurant I ever went to. We took the fried dal home, added garlic, chili, pepper and salt, and then it was amazing too."

"in the morning you should plan a few minutes at the parking lot search. the steep slippery steps made us a bit skeptical three-view, stabwort barrierfrei. but apparently this has never been a bigger problem (four man, four corners or where a will is, is a way).One comes in and receives one as first a pleasant light and a massive woodable. the ambiente knows to please immediately, warm, rustical though for my taste something to clink. Unfortunately, it has always been a bit cool at the table so that the pullover always remained.The Italian waitress made an intrusive attentive impression and you would like to see her when hosting the other tables. Overall, the restaurant is somewhat overpriced, but what is made by small gestures like a disc cricket as a starter on the house or the bonbon is re-established in the billy branch. because eating is very good. clearly defined taste without snorkel. I had both a very good and lush pizza (40 cm), but it was difficult to eat through the shaky wooden turntable with knife and fork.My accompaniment had a stone mushroom paste, even here full score despite a little bit of cream. We'll be back in any case, but then in a nice warm summer."

"Take trams 7, 8 or 15 from city center and get off at Angerbrücke for a 290 meter walk to Restaurant Olea or go on and pass Olea on left hand side and get off at Lindenauer Markt and walk back 240 m. I was on my way from the hotel to the city center in tram 7 when I saw the inviting candle light from restaurant Olea. I got curious so I got off at the next stop (Angerbrücke) and walked back. Quite a few people had chosen to dine at Olea and, that usually being a good sign, made me come in. Straight away a young woman got me the menu. The menu is quite extensive containing omelettes, salads, risotto, oven baked dishes, pasta, chicken, fish and rump steaks. I ordered pasta and couldn’t withstand to look at the dessert menu and found Schwedenbecher (Sweden cup) with ice cream, applesauce, whipped cream and eggnog if I recall correctly. Being Swedish and never heard of it I just had to try. The bill came to 19 EUR including a glass of wine, which I find very reasonable for a very good meal and friendly service with a smile. I just (9 Oct 2016) looked up their weekly menu and all items but one, roast veal, were priced under 10 EUR. If I were living in the area I’m sure I’d come here regularly. Do try restaurant Olea!"

"This restaurant is located at the edge of Leipzig’s Waldstrassenviertel, in a quiet street between the Rosentalpark and the city ring. It is just a few minutes walk out of the city center. The garden offers a nicer ambiance than the cellar space inside. The...atmosphere is not totally Italian, but the food certainly is. Our starters, tomato mozzarella salad and asparagus soup, were fresh and tasty, and so was the risotto with sliced beef and porcini. Drinks were all right as well. We would call then service informal and friendly. Altogether, a good place for a summer evening dinner"

"The photos don’t do it justice... The interior looks much better than the photos. Having said that, well, my overall experience was less than excellent. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things... but the Gazpacho was excellent. Nothing recent to compare it to, and this...was a bit creamier than I expected, but the flavors were there with just the right amount of spice. Well done. I also went with the Andalucia mixed platter. Forgetting that it was really enough for at least overall everything was wayyyyy too salty. And I matched it all with a red Rioja. I believe the Crianza...? Anyway, the costlier of the bunch. It was actually very good, but served too warm. The waiter offered to chill it a bit, but not knowing what that might entail, I stuck with it, especially as the air temperature was cooler than the wine. Now... the real point of irritation was when I first arrived. Yes, the outdoor places were full, but I asked if it would be possible to nevertheless sit outside. The person handling the newcomers simply replied no. Not a, “it’ll be about a minute wait, or something a bit more helpful. Just a curt, flat”no”. Really annoying. Generally, my take away was that, like with most places in the heart of a tourist district, it was high on the look, but lacking in the substance. Certainly there are better options."

"Das Restaurant liegt eigentlich an einer Straße, die nur Einheimische kennen und in der man keine Laufkundschaft erwarten kann. Wer also hierher kommt, der weiß, was ihn erwartet - die sprichwörtliche Gastfreundschaft von Leonardo, Spiros und ihren Mitarbeitern! Hier wird - wenn man es möchte - das Essen so zelebriert, wie man es in Griechenland tut: der Tisch wird mit den Tellern vollgeladen oder mehrere Gerichte werden auf großen Platten arrangiert, so dass jeder von allem essen kann. Dazu ein Ouzo oder ein Tsipouro mit Wasser als klassisches Getränk zum Essen. Besondere Empfehlungen: die Baby-Calamari (leicht melliert in der Pfanne gebraten), die Calamari-Röllchen, der überbackene Käse, die Lammkeulen, wahlweise mit dicken oder grünen Bohnen, die in Olivenöl gebratenen Garnelenschwänze und und und... Herkommen und genießen!"

"Zum Mittagstisch bestellte ich knusprige Ente mit Gemüse und Reis. Diese Mal kann ich es nur in kurzen Worten sagen, denn jedes weitere Wort wäre eines zu viel - ich kenne einige Imbiss-Bracken, in denen das gleiche Gericht viel besser schmeckt. Absoluter Durchschnitt und kein wenig an Extravaganz, die ich erwartet hätte. Die Ente hatte einen seltsamen Geschmack und der Teller war voll mit den, schon als verdammt vermuteten eingelegten Dosenbambussprossen. So schmeckt Asien nicht. Extrem günstig war es auch nicht, daher keine Empfehlung. Ich bin leider extrem kritisch beim Essen, daher bewerte ich wirklich nur gute Speisen als wirklich gut. Alles fair und ehrlich. Deshalb hier gleich eine geschmackliche Empfehlung hinterher: im "Da Lat" auf der Könneritzstrasse könnt ihr euch auf eine fernöstliche Geschmacksreise begeben, dies zwar nur in einem kleinem Imbissrestaurant, aber wem der Geschmack mehr wert ist als Schi Schi...!"

"Wie waren heute in diesem Restaurant und ich bin nicht begeistert. Freundliches Personal-ja aber sehr aufdringlich. Auf die Bitte hin meine Speise gern mit Gorgonzolasoße statt mit Metaxasoße, bekam ich von der Kellnerin die Antwort, dass das nicht ginge, weil sich die Soße schlecht dazu macht, aber ich hätte ja keine Ahnung davon! Ich denke nicht das man SO mit Gästen reden sollte, zumal ich selbst aus der Gastronomie bin! Lange Wartezeiten und dann war das Fleisch auch nicht frisch. Der Geschmack ähnelte einem aufgetautem Schnitzel. Aber man hat sich wenigstens entschuldigt und zugegeben das man vergessen hat sich das Dessert zu merken, welches beinahe vergessen wurde. Leider nicht zu empfehlen, hier muss definitiv am Service gearbeitet werden und der Koch sollte vorher die frische seiner Waren prüfen."

"Nice atmosphere and friendly service. I was given a table in the section modeled after a rail car. Clean, polished wood... non stop videos of Union Pacific steam engines pulling trains actually pretty cool). The service was slow, but friendly and, once I asked for something, responsive. Being originaly from New York City, spending $75 for a steak dinner for 1 is kind of normal. And that was more than a few years ago. Tonight July 2020) I spent €85 with tip, but that seemed a bit high. The steak itself was listed at €40+. Not unreasonable, but high, nevertheless. Having said that, the portion was good not huge, which was a good thing. There was a Tomahawk on the menu for €72 or so, as well as other offerings such as bison), the steak tasty, and done exactly the way I wanted it, which is not easy to come by. In fact, everything was tasty... well, the Caesar Salad was lacking. The flavors were there, but nothing to write home about €11). The dessert was rich, sweet.. something unique to Leipzig and very good. The wine I ordered was only ok... but I’ll chalk that up to user error."

"I managed to try most of the Indian/ Afghan restaurants in Leipzig and this place is definitely my personal favourite. All the Afghan dishes I tried were very authentic and simply great. They also have pizza and other stuff that don't really belong in this kind of a restaurant... maybe trying to please everyone? Anyway, didn't try those since I was there for the Afghan experience, which is exactly what I got. Nice atmosphere, awesome food and good prices (cheaper than the Indian places in the city center).
