"My twin brother and I took a few days off work were we jumped the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre to visit some of the great pubs and bars our city is justifiably famous for, at the top of our list of bars and pubs to visit was Brewdog, been here many times over the years, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. This is a great looking Brewdog bar,a great looking serving bar dominates the main room, wonderful decor and furnishings, neon lite features and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto onto the busy and bustling Colquitt Street. We had a study of their great beer range and in the end we both opted to have Brewdog king kölsch , these were served in excellent condition, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular bar while we sipped our ale 's. A big fan of this beer style, in fact on the run up to the Christmas period my twin brother and I were in Cologne for a weeks holiday which is a vibrant city on the River Rhine that we 've been visiting for close to 30 years ,this city is the home of kölsch beer brewed by so many breweries, breweries such as Pfaffgen Brauerei, Gaffel Brauerei, Dom Brauerei, Deutz Brauerei, Reissdorf Brauerei, Sion Brauerei, Sünner Brauerei, Schreckenskammer Brauerei, Muhlen Brauerei and of course Früh Brauerei who I noticed are named on the beer label ,my kölsch beer served here in Brewdog were amazing, it 's more an ale than a lager ,it 's golden, hoppy ,very light and very easy to drink ,when this kölsch is served freezing cold as in Brewdog its just an amazing brew to enjoy, its no coincidence that this bar is so popular with beers served in this good a condition by staff who are really knowledgeable about the beers they serve. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Brewdog we had a great time. Brewdog is easy to locate along Colquitt Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from midday. A wonderful craft beer bar serving an amazing range of great beers, well worth checking out if you 're in the area."

"Visited today with a friend, he had been to the other restaurant they have on Allerton Road and enjoyed it. So we were keen to see what the one on Hardman Street was like. Our visits was a Thursday evening and the restaurant was pretty quiet. We were seated quickly, the server gave us the option of where we sat. We were given menus and a glass bottle of ice cold water was given to us. We soon ordered our drinks, a Diet Coke and beer and went for a version of a mixed grill they do for 2. This contained chicken and pork kebabs, sliced chicken, lamb chop, chips, coldslaw, pitta and a spicy gravy. The table was prepared for this and the food was out in 15-20 minutes. The food was excellent, the kebabs and sliced chicken were well cooked and everything had a unique flavour. We are hungry guys but this tray of food filled us easily. The servers was attentive but not overly fussing. They regularly checked all was okay and the food was nice. When we finished. Our table was cleared and much to my surprise we were brought 2 brownies with cream, on the house. These were really nice and although small, it perfectly capped the meal. We were in there roughly 1 and a half hours, and the whole experience was pleasant. The restaurants decor is traditional and clean. The bill came and for the meal for 2 and the drinks only came to £38. Absolute bargain. Highly recommend, we will be back."

"Just after the 1st coronavirus pandemic lockdown restrictions were lifted and pre tier three coronavirus pandemic restrictions that ultimately led to the 2nd lockdown my twin brother Stephen and I decided to go to the great pubs our city is justifiably famous for and a pub I always enjoy visiting is Ma Egerton's Pub located behind Liverpool Lime Street Railway Station. A two roomed pub with a theatrical history, photos of famous stage and screen idols adorn the walls of the pub, great decor and furnishings including a superb looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Pudsey Street. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Saturday night, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff, after giving our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands we ordered a guinness each and payed contactless, guinness was poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle,we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in. My guinness was absolutely superb, a rich, creamy and most importantly iced cold guinness bursting with taste, very easy to drink, on a hot night a totally refreshing brew. This is my type of pub, a proper back street boozer serving great drinks, the guinness served here is as good as you will taste in Liverpool. We really enjoyed our guinness in here and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Ma Egerton's Pub is easy to locate along Pudsey Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday, 11am till 11pm. Sunday, Midday till 10.30pm. A wonderful pub ,if your in the area most definitely well worth checking out. Until the 2nd of December all pubs, bars and restaurants in the UK are closed due to the 2nd lockdown."
