"Small, crowded, cold. So much potential but sadly failed to deliver. The mezze starter was so disappointing. Watered down hummus, and a collection of dips. Only very meh! The pitta was nice but small portion. Slow cooked lamb was not the tender melt in your mouth sensation that I expect but rather grisly chewy meat. Kebabs were nice though. All in all it’s just a market stall pretending to be a restaurant."

"delicious eating hot service. a free meal, i.e. starter, main course dessert (with a candle in) had not expected that . we came after they have stopped serving happy hour cocktails, but they still for us. the price of eating. very reasonable for london I wanted to try this restaurant for a dae, now so glad that it meets the expectations, will definitely come back"

"Always trying out new places for a Sunday Lunch and were not disappointed. Roast pork with good roast potatoes, big Yorkshire pudding, carrots, cabbage and good amount of gravy. Pork was moist inside (good portion) with excellent crackling. Husband had the mussels and was impressed with the heap of mussels he received and the great flavour. Was looking forward to the sticky toffee pudding but had absolutely no room for desserts and had to walk the long way home to try and walk off feeling so full. Will definitely go back!"

"sutton Sons’ (s S)-Fischer were founded in 1998 in the stoke newington high street and with the woman hana 2010 opened her first restaurant all over the street, which served the freshest fish and chips in london and remained sustainably responsible. Previously, I had written about s s after visiting her boxpark. after that I listened to how great they were, and even called them to serve the best fish and chips in the city. when I caught the wind that they opened a third location in islington and was invited for a shot down, you can imagine that I was pretty excited. like its predecessors, the Islington menu reads like a fish and chip lover Christmas list with a lot of fritted fish, all coated with their own special battery and served with fresh hand-cut cloby chips. for the calorie counters there is also the possibility to grill the fish. for those who are looking for something else, but also baked whitebait, tempoura garnelen and chip shop classics such as cakes and broken sausages are also with specialities such as the thunfischburger, lobster sub, grilled oysters and moules marinière sitting next to. After I had tried the S S-fishing and chips, I went tonight to command the fresh thun-fishing burger and the lobster sub-part. it was hard to turn off the fish and chips (they were soou good), but I was not disappointed. the thunfischburger was beautiful and so fresh he tasted as if the fish had just jumped on my plate from the ozean. in truth this was not far from reality, as the fish delivery to s s probably happened that tomorrow and next, matthew (site manager, cook and all round top type) me from a massive steak out of a huge plate thunfisch ready for my grubby hands. That's good with me, thank you. the lobster roll, filled with mayonnaise dressed lobster with a Cajun sprinkle, was just as delicious and was so rich, I could not help but just inhale. our night ended with one of the tasty homemade desserts by frau sutton, which tonight is a sticky toffee pudding with vanilleeis and sitting in a pool of caramel sauce. Matching sauces all with Yorkers, roasted potatoes, roasted carrots, roasted paprika and eyelashes from Gravy in a jar so you choose how much and where on the plate to put it! Beautiful choice of music, but on a non-penetrable level. Everything in a great place!"

"This is a beautiful spot. Views amazing but food and service poor. All food came out cold for 4 of us. I returned mine and it took 25mins to come back out. It was poor, dried chicken, burned broccoli greasy wedges. Friends chips and potatoes cold too. Requested new chips but they took 25mins too and others had finished their food. Our starter was given to different table. What a disaster. The waiter, god love him was clueless. I advised that I hoped the bill would reflect the disaster of a meal. Bill was full price. I requested to speak to the manager. She was very unpleasant. I explained what happened and she advised I got my food replaced. I pointed to the food on the plate and pointed out the burned food, took 25 mins etc.. I advised I hadn't eaten anything and was not paying for it. She took my meal of the bill and no apology or pleasantries. To the owner, your staff need to be trained properly and your manager needs a course in public relations. As I say beautiful setting but poor service. Another couple complained before us too. Similar issues."

"I had a fantastic chicken burger and chips along with a pint. The place was quite busy, and I ended up sharing a table, but that didn’t bother me—it’s a great spot for a quick lunch. The chicken burger was delicious, especially for just £5 during the weekday lunch hour, which made it even better. The chips were average, but I would definitely recommend trying the Dirty Bird. It’s a perfect place for a midday snack—quick and convenient. I got a huge chicken burger, chips, and a pint for just £14. However, I noticed they automatically added service to the bill, which I think is a bit sneaky. Gratuities should be left to the customer's discretion, not imposed by the restaurant. Just a thought!"

"Apparently I am a bit behind the game as in trendy Shoreditch (well at least too trendy for me) you can be happy slash sad slash angry all at the same time. Well, at least the people around here talk like this. Reminds me of my twitter speak friend. In any case, with such an amalgamation of emotion, quicksilver bouts of rage slash hungry (I thought the word for this was hangry), I began to have doubts about whether I really should be in the area. As I’m not trendy slash cool. I would not like to end up forgotten slash hungry. That might be sad slash depressed."

"This was our first visit to a fun coffee shop that has stores throughout London. It was nearby our hotel so we enjoyed a leisurely walk there through a nice neighborhood. The shop was not crowded or terribly busy so there was plenty of seating. The menu was quite extensive and well-priced. We thoroughly enjoyed our flat white and latte as well as a croissant and cinnamon bun. We will be back next time we are in London."

"What a brilliant find! We went for a family lunch and had a great time. The pub is lovely and cosy but with space to manoeuvre a pram around easily. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. We especially enjoyed the desserts! Delicious pecan tart and brownie. The service was also fantastic and overall it was just a really lovely experience. We took our dog too and it was ideal! We will definitely be back to try more of the menu."

"My friend and I visited Skylon for after-dinner drinks on a Saturday evening. Although we didn't have a reservation and the place was quite crowded, the friendly staff at the front of house found us a spot at the bar and mentioned that a couple was about to leave, so we could take their table as soon as it became available. Skylon had a vibrant atmosphere and was bustling with energy. The service was good, although the drinks menu appeared a bit worn. We would have preferred a window seat to enjoy the stunning views of the river, but all of those were reserved. The drinks were on the pricier side, which was expected. We were seated near the kitchen exit, allowing us to see a delightful array of beautifully presented dishes. We definitely plan to return to sample some of the food and hopefully secure those coveted window seats."

"I’m not sure what to say. It’s very historic and the atmosphere is perfect. Food is not too bad but flavours tend on the salty side. However, the service was not good. Maybe it’s because we didn’t make a reservation (I’m grateful you accommodated us, but you made it abundantly clear you were “accommodating” and not welcoming us), or maybe it was because we reached before 5. When we reached, the staff said “sit anywhere you find” we couldn’t find a table on the first floor so we went upstairs. When we were upstairs, she said she can’t take walk ins upstairs before 5. You could have said that earlier. So we went downstairs and sat in the outside area. But we had to wait over 20 mins to be served, and eventually I had to approach the bartender behind the bar to take my food order (because nobody would take our food order lol). Then, I had to ask the bartender if there was a table on the second floor available, which surprise there was. So we moved upstairs. Staff proactively provided water to other guests we had to ask for water. Every time the staff saw us, she acted surprised like she forgot we existed."

"My experience at this restaurant was terrible. The staff was incredibly rude and loud. One employee was constantly shouting and not paying attention to their duties, even going as far as to spray our table while we were still eating. I usually enjoy eating at PAUL, but I was extremely let down by the service. Neither myself nor my companions will be returning to eat there again."

"There are few Chinese take a ways in our area and we found china noodle and we werepleased as the food is very good however the service is utterly rubbish. We only ever order take out and it is with out fail late. Twice they have forgotten our orders and I’ve had to ring. Again this evening I’ve waited 1hr and a half and it’s still not arrived. They really need to get their act together. It’s because there are very few take outs to chose from but this service is shoddy and fir the price not good enough. I think I’ll just stop using them."

The functional space is amazing, in a great location with a private bar. The staff were attentive and the buffet was good and affordable. "of restaurants in the region duke of york, polpo is the cheapest price for a lunch snack. since it was drizzling, we sat in the interiors where the service was excellent. tap water immediately and very attentive. also finished tapas dishes were quickly removed from the table. the interior is tiny compared to the large terrace where I can not speak for how service is. we shared half a liter house red for 14.50 it was light, pleasant and summery. eating started coming pretty fast. first came the bruschetta of wide bon, minze and ricotta. ricotta was quite strongly salted and wide bons were double peeled - a beautiful love to detail. a reason why this dish was so delicious was because the brot had been drowned in good olive oil. order this because it is delicious, and not because it is looking for a light, low calorie dish. my companion likes the gnocchi with duck and black olive ruffle. for me, the tomato sauce was something about sweet, which told me more about sicily than venice. but it was delicious with olives and a lot of pulled duck meat. beautiful texture on the gnocchi. I loved the frito misto. very thin tempura as a battery that did not taste fat. prawns were served in the head but peeled. there was also calamari and courgette. I asked for additional lemon wedges that appeared quickly. we're coming back. perhaps not the Chelsea branch where we are randomly rare (we went to an exhibition in the Saatchi gallery), but in any case it will try soho."

"An elegant pub! I was just looking for a place to enjoy a drink by the docks, and this is a fantastic spot. It's quite spacious by London standards and offers a lovely view of the St. Katharine Docks. While the selection of ales is limited, they are of great quality. The cocktails are also quite interesting. The food is surprisingly good as well. This is definitely a must-visit!"

"There is a new burger chain in town.. Byron is the latest burger chain to hit London and this isn't no Maccy D's or BK, this is the real deal and what burgers should taste like. So the wife and i decided to get something to eat before a gig and the Sheps Bush Empire so we headed to the plush new Westfield shopping complex where you are spoilt for choice for food, but as a burger fanatic i convinced the wife to try Byron, as i had never experienced a Byron burger before, anway down to business, we were in a little bit of a rush so we didn't go mad with our order, i went for the byron boilermaker which is a burger, beer and bourbon for £14.50 a bargain i'd say, so i went for the bourbon burger, beef patty, lettuce, red onion, jack cheese and of course bourbon bbq sauce, the wife went for the bacon cheeseburger, we shared fries and onion rings, the burgers were absolutely amazing, lovely taste, seasoned just right and were cooked medium which always helps, the sides were nice, not a lot to shout about but were tasty. The drinks menu was also amazing, a wide selection of beers and bourbons, which is a plus for me, but if you want a non alcoholic drink there is plenty of selection to, my wife went for the chocolate milkshake and she said it's one of the best milkshakes she has ever had. So overall we loved the place, staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great, we couldn't of asked for more, well worth a visit."
