"As beautiful as the old brick building looks right next to the striking Marienkirche Lübecks, you will surely also overlook the fact that in its basement, since 2019, the “Manna” has opened a new restaurant dedicated to Asian and sushi cuisine. The owner and chef has previously held sushi cooking classes in Lübeck and now tries to bring this profession to the customer in a restaurant (in which he still offers these courses outside view. A small staircase leads to the guest room in the basement. Interior view. The decor does not welcome the guest particularly decorative and also the metal ventilation pipes on the ceiling are not so right in the ambience, but everything is clean, modern and also the lighting ensures a pleasant atmosphere. Free Wi-Fi is also provided here. The service took care of the late afternoon of my visit to the boss personally. The reception was friendly but during the visit I would have liked, for example, an additional demand for satisfaction and thus symbolized attention and interest in the guest. After all, at that time I was the only guest in the restaurant. At first glance, the menu does not have any surprises to most Asian and Sushi restaurants. Only in the “modern style special rolls” a roll of gold leaves allows a ribéry feeling (who needs it... . A special feature could be found at the end of the menu, which I have not yet found in Lübeck: The Thali plates, a kind of Asian tapas plate, which consists of various supplements served on a plate in individual peels. Unfortunately, my demand for this court answered that this food is not available at the moment. Very bad, but in the current menu, this Thalis does not appear at all So I left it during this first visit when ordering with the Green Veg Poke Bowl for 9.9€. This was waiting with rice, avocado, edamame, cucumber, pineapple, carrot, wakame, red herbalate and corn and was served together with a teriyaki sauce. Green Veg Poke Bowl . Most of the ingredients were remarkably fresh and also freshly prepared: crisp red cabbage, edamame and wakame with bite, juicy cucumber and carrot strips, as well as an avocado with good ripeness justified this impression. The rice remembered something about sushi rice in its grain and tackiness, which was right here. Only the corn and the pineapple were noticed their origins from the can. The Teriyaki sauce brought a sweet spice into play, but the dish still lacked noticeably other spices and especially acidity. This was surprising in that the pomegranate and coriander advertised in the map or Sesame might have been able to deliver that, but unfortunately in the bowl served me shined with absence. Thus, the whole remained very pale, boring and did not correspond to the composition announced in the map. On the bottom, the “Manna Sushi” has left me a rock print that doesn’t really move me to a new visit. My ordered Poke Bowl was perhaps worth its price in quantity, but the lack of ingredients and tasteful Pfiff draw the price-performance ratio down. So the restaurant for me cannot really stand off from the many other Asian restaurants in the city. This would have been possible with the “Thali plates”, but this also turned out to be an air number."

Nui Ramenbar

Nui Ramenbar

An Der Untertrave 110, 23552 Lübeck, Luebeck, Germany

Sushi • Suppe • Japanisch • Mittagessen

"At the beginning of April 2018 the Nui Ramenbar opened directly at the Untertrave in a visual axis to the Holstentor as a depositor of the already existing Nui Sushibar . This gave and now, for the first time in Lübeck, there was a possibility to taste this Japanese **** national dish: of course, I had to go immediately. A staircase leads to the guest room of the really small restaurant, while the toilets are in the basement. An elevator unfortunately did not find any space in this old building, which unfortunately limits the suitability for the disabled. Exterior sites are also available. The guest room itself is decorated in purple and white and welcoming. The bar really only includes a beverage bar, which is connected to the kitchen to the rear. To my visit in April 2018 during the noon time, the guest room was almost full, with fortunately a table at the large sofa bench could be offered to me. It was, of course, somewhat narrower than in a large room restaurant, but I did not feel it as a depressing one. Since this is probably a smaller place for short periods of stay, during my visit, which was also only managed by a gentleman, the service was limited to serving, cleaning and paying. This was done friendly, but also without noticeable cordiality or great attention. In addition to the mentioned ramens, similar to the main restaurant, additional different Asian dishes and also sushi are offered. I personally came to the same-named bar because of the ramen and chose the “Udon Shio” which were served with thick Udon noodles, chicken, egg, leek, soy sprouts, Nori, carrot, Soi Sam Art Pak Choi and Tongu, and Enoki mushrooms. “Udon Shio Ramen”: Udon noodles, chicken, egg, leek, soybean sprouts, nori, carrot, soi Sam and Tongu, as well as Enoki mushrooms. Even after less than 10 minutes, the hot steaming soup was on the table before me. So, for a lunch break, a return here is really suitable if you also get a place. The chicken meat was contained in an appealing amount, but if it could have been a bit more delicate and more juicy was probably classically boiled to death. However, due to the use as a soup insert, this did not seem too negative. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, but I would have liked to be included in a slightly larger amount. The dish was of course dominated by the thicker Udon noodles and the broth. The former had a pleasant bite and gave the court such a good fullness. In broth, I would have liked a little more tasteful intensity. Of course, you can also consider it positive, it seems to confirm the motto of the place without glutamate. Nevertheless, I felt the Umami degree here somewhat lower than in a good meat broth. This certainly takes everyone else, but I had to help with something soy sauce. Nevertheless, the ramen soup was quite a round-tasting thing, even if not a highlight. I also experienced the same in July 2018 when I wanted to try the restaurant again and chose the “Ramen Wantan”. Ramen Wantan : thin noodles with dough pockets with shrimp filling, with added cloth, soy sprouts, enoki mushrooms, carrots, nori, soi Sam and egg. In contrast to the Udon variant, these were made of thinner noodles, as well as Wantan dough pockets with shrimp filling, with rags, soy sprouts, enoki mushrooms, carrots, Nori, Soi Sam and, on my request, egg. The Wantans were used here in a non-fried form, they would have been softened in the soup anyway. Better, however, would I have wished to fill the shrimps, which were quite low in taste and in which I would have liked more freshness of the seafood. This time, however, the vegetable insert was present in more than sufficient quantity and had the same quality as the first visit. Unfortunately, there was no change in the rather low aroma of broth compared to visit No. 1 I was very happy when I heard about the opening of the Ramenbar, as I am always very open to any culinary change and news. During my visits, the Nui Ramenbar did not disappoint my anticipation, but for the reasons described, no storms of enthusiasm were triggered. Above all, more aromatic Umami depths, e.g. in broth, are characterized by Japanese cuisine and should also be more lovingly lived here. The service should also be more warm. ; Nevertheless, it is certainly worth a return for everyone who has not yet tried this classic Japanese cuisine."

"Bingo! The voucher 2 for 1 drove us into this little restaurant today, a whole piece in front of the gates of the Hanseperle. A white fabric pavilion in front of the inconspicuous multi-family house offers space, but neither the left newspaper nor the view of the well-run road are so correct, and so we enter the almost empty space better: valleys, because it is clearly manageable. A young man with strikingly radiant eyes welcomes us eagerly. We choose a small table at the window two larger tables are reserved, there is still a free table left. Luckily, next to us, only one lady is present, would be occupied by all places, but you would be very close... I like the dark wooden tables with the appropriate chairs, they look sturdy and are comfortable. Cosy. In each place there is a beautiful set, a tablespoon in a napkin bag and a flyer of the restaurant: the menu. It is very clear, so it makes the choice easier. The friendly waiter does not understand us at the moment, but is very striving and finally accepts our drinks wishes with success; he says Papa and Mom unusual, pleasant family and very touching and I feel quick a few years older...; Flights are in front of us, and the food can be ordered. Löwinnenhunger needs the order of the appetizers to the two main dishes. The cute waiter disappeared in the kitchen, and after a short time it smells tempting and the first well-filled dish appears: Mirzaghasemi (Püre aus fried eggplants, tomatoes, garlic and eggs, plus thin bread, € 3.90. In the meantime, there are other guests who welcome us very kindly and want a good appetite. Oh, yeah, it's absolutely there! We taste, enjoy... still. Our waiter observes attentively from the background whether we are really satisfied. Everything is pleasantly tempered and refined flavored, fresh and of good quality and tastes just delicious. The crowd is lush, I actually have to fit (can the appetizer not need, but who could think about it?! Yes, we are very satisfied, settle the reasonable, rather favorable bill and overcome the small step at the exit quite ugly, owes the fill level of our stomachs... at night Conclusion: Class! Satte 5 stars for an excellent service and taste experience. We'll come back soon and test some other food..."

"This Chinese restaurant is centrally located at the end of the pedestrian zone and shopping street. On the way back from our shopping tour we felt quite hungry and because Mc D was not an option for us, we returned to this place. My husband was already discouraged when he saw the full tables, but I saw a staircase downstairs indicating there were more tables. So we went down and actually discovered a free table and took place. The service immediately appeared despite the whole house, brought us the cards and accepted our drinks. We quickly decided to bake redfish fillet, each a large = 8,20 € and a small part = 6,30€ and a small part of noodles with chicken meat = 4,50 €. The soup was a bit too sharp on our local Chinese taste better for me. The little part of the noodles was so plentiful that my daughter could not eat them. The fish shares were clearly the same. But since it was fried fish and it was fat, we were still saturated in the end. The rice and the sauce were unfortunately only lukewarm. With the drinks we should pay smooth €25.00, which we felt for three people as really cheap. The service was top. We were able to observe how fast the service forces ran up the relatively steep stairs with the courts....Take away from them also in the evening know what they did and safely save the fitness club! Our service had everything in sight and we were quickly served despite the full load. Because of the only lukewarm food that was also difficult in the stomach, this does not apply to the noodle dish, unfortunately we cannot forgive here 4 stars. I think it would be 3.5, but as you have to decide, there will be 3 here. In any case, this place is a good alternative to McD and we would return here and then choose another court. You can pick up every Friday and Saturday in the period from 12 noon 20.00 a.m. by phone and telephone for 9,90 € per person."
