"Once the door crosses, the beautiful epoque style, with its gilding and stucco, creates a cozy atmosphere that gives the place all its charm of old. For more than a century and a half, the courteous pastry has been on the street and treats the greedy nipples. high-quality hats, crinolines and fiacres have deserted the place, replaced by tourists and regulars who discover or appreciate this local institution. If the weather is in line with the walls, the pastries are good today and delicious. and take here the breakfast is somewhat ceremonial for who loves this suspended time where, if the mirrors could speak, they would tell us many secrets. The coffee-cream is creamy, the fresh and well-cooked crescent (how many breakfasts elsewhere spoiled by elastic and indigestal croissants, which is not the case here fortunately) to which you are offered a glass of water if you wish. This courtesy of putting is sometimes upset by a somewhat hesitant service, the fault of a staff frequently replaced (and grunted if one considers the sharp tone raised from the kitchens some days,) but a captivated smile suggests that the intention was laudable. That said, for the bicentenary of pastry, in 33 years, a redevelopment of the toilet, located today at the office, would not be a luxury and would give a little more ease to access instead of the same name. This leaves a reasonable time to rethink space while keeping at the courteous pastry shop what comes for: its singular charm."

"Good evening, dear readers; Where to start? Weekend in Nîmes, walking around the charming streets of this beautiful city of southeast France, we were me and my two friends looking for a restaurant to eat on Saturday, May 6. The first impression on arriving at this establishment was for the least unexpected. A lover of fake grass as a floor, electric wire in scavengers, strong incense odors, broken walls, you will not be disappointed, all intertwined with the incessant passage of customers and/or residents of the building. The pompon being a cat eating his croquettes at even a table at the entrance, clearly intended for the clientele; Hygiene to perfect. In short, the frame was laid. The reception was of the same quality, smiling servers, disguised during the Roman days. First step, the selection of wine, to accompany our dish entry menu dessert to 32 euros (we will return to the price later). It was unfortunately the only positive note of the meal in this symphony of disappointment, a Saint Loup peak, a sure value, the same 32 euros the bottle, the most expensive of the card and recommended first by the server. The entrance, tuna samosas cruelly missing from seasoning. My friend who took a quinoa salad containing coriander, it would have been wise to notify him. The dish, restaurant "Italian and Mediterranean". Why do you propose a blanquette de veau à la carte? Let's see... In spite of all, it was a good bill, as was the case for malfatis and fish. dessert, a tatin pie worthy of our school canteen. And a plate of cheese, fade as not possible, coming clearly from the crossroads city next door. Please let our local producers live. I and my friends do not understand the overwhelming number of positive comments on this establishment. Clearly a disappointment, 128 euros ladies and gentlemen, for 3 people... 2 HEURES at table for this experience... much too long. This opinion is only the feeling of 3 good young people living looking to spend a good time. Hopefully this opinion is constructive for you, readers, and for you, restaurateurs. We wish you a pleasant evening."

"On the outskirts, a nice terrace overlooking the arenas of Nîmes. From the entrance, I see my idea: a brandade of cod in qunelles, with a caviar of eggplants, a little curry juice on a side of the plate, crunchy salad leaves, large slices of zucchini. It is a rare fraicher. The dish is of the same level: from the veal head cut into a rectangle and snacked parallepiped. The inside is soft and foamy, the crispy outside. the small meat juice around is worth the detour, as well as all vegetables just undercooked to perfection. The dessert is a raspberry-glazed cowrin that voluntarily lacks a very small sugar hair, which makes it possible to eat it at will without an outbreak. Awesome. The wine map is also worth its weight of happiness with renowned bottles but also delicious "discoveries" wines at a small price. Addition to 32€ the menu, derisory compared to the time required to make such plates and to the technical mastery of the realization. The service is kind, effective and responsive. Go also to see the interior of the establishment which is loaded with Roman history but also contemporary. If you chat with two owners (the chef de salle - sommelier and the cook) you will learn that they have met in part of their classes at bernard leisure à saulieu, in short that they are all but amateurs... the gourmet bib attributed by the michelin seems to me a poor reward of the talent of these friendly and talented restaurateurs. Thanks the artists!"
