"Good evening, dear readers; Where to start? Weekend in Nîmes, walking around the charming streets of this beautiful city of southeast France, we were me and my two friends looking for a restaurant to eat on Saturday, May 6. The first impression on arriving at this establishment was for the least unexpected. A lover of fake grass as a floor, electric wire in scavengers, strong incense odors, broken walls, you will not be disappointed, all intertwined with the incessant passage of customers and/or residents of the building. The pompon being a cat eating his croquettes at even a table at the entrance, clearly intended for the clientele; Hygiene to perfect. In short, the frame was laid. The reception was of the same quality, smiling servers, disguised during the Roman days. First step, the selection of wine, to accompany our dish entry menu dessert to 32 euros (we will return to the price later). It was unfortunately the only positive note of the meal in this symphony of disappointment, a Saint Loup peak, a sure value, the same 32 euros the bottle, the most expensive of the card and recommended first by the server. The entrance, tuna samosas cruelly missing from seasoning. My friend who took a quinoa salad containing coriander, it would have been wise to notify him. The dish, restaurant "Italian and Mediterranean". Why do you propose a blanquette de veau à la carte? Let's see... In spite of all, it was a good bill, as was the case for malfatis and fish. dessert, a tatin pie worthy of our school canteen. And a plate of cheese, fade as not possible, coming clearly from the crossroads city next door. Please let our local producers live. I and my friends do not understand the overwhelming number of positive comments on this establishment. Clearly a disappointment, 128 euros ladies and gentlemen, for 3 people... 2 HEURES at table for this experience... much too long. This opinion is only the feeling of 3 good young people living looking to spend a good time. Hopefully this opinion is constructive for you, readers, and for you, restaurateurs. We wish you a pleasant evening."

"Enoteca has only been going 6 months or so which may explain the lack of reviews on TripAdvisor but don't let that put you off dining here. We'd been staying close by for the week and hadn't realised at first that this restaurant is also linked to a great little deli about 10 doors down on the same rue. So you have two great places to discover! We stopped in there for a glass of wine first in the last of the days sun before heading to the restaurant for dinner. The owner is a lovely, attentive guy who is clearly very passionate about his Italian produce; food and wine! Over dinner we were well looked after and shared delicious burrata as starter, followed by two authentic Italian pasta dishes for main course. The beef in mine was rich and tender, obviously having been cooked for hours. Dessert were small coffees with a delicious citrus mouse on the side and plenty of biscotti biscuits to dip. Drinks wise we'd enjoyed a glass of white at the deli but moved onto passionfruit spritz for aperitifs followed by a delicious Nero d'Avola to match our mains. This red was fantastically smooth and fruity, with no hint of tannins in the after taste. I was surprised that the place wasn't packed out on a Friday night but there is a festival in town for a couple of days so that could be keeping people busy, but this place will surely gain in popularity and in the rankings in Nimes very soon. Recommend this Italian restaurant which suits this French city drenched in Roman history!"
