"We stayed here on Friday evening with our camper van. We ate in the restaurant during the evening and both meals were very generous in portion size and also good value for money. I had steamed haddock, with prawns in a chilli sauce, served with vegetables and potatoes I think I had a whole fish on the plate, although I did ask for the large portion. Deserts were equally nice, although how we had room for them is a mystery. The menu is varied and there are daily specials. Breakfasts were equally good in terms of portion size, quality and value for money. After breakfast, we had a cuppa in the conservatory, before leaving for our next destination. The area is excellent for cycling and dog walking. Dog friendly at one side of the bar too. Staff and owners are very pleasant and even though we are not local to the area, we will certainly be returning. I'm looking forward to the breakfast already! Walkability: Short walk to Barrow Haven train station. Plenty of dog walking and cycling nearby. Food drinks: Excellent choice of food and a well kept bar.
