"I booked based on the reviews online and I enjoy gourmet dining and have eaten at Michelin star restaurants across the globe . Booking was easy via phone. Decor quite traditional with modern twist, some cheap storage art pieces, the massive old looking dry flower arrangement brought down the ambience. Service a single waitress . She was not the most cheerful or welcoming . Bread very tasty home made especially the Brie and cranberry. Mains, duck was just OK, a bit tough, and the sauce didn’t pair well with the duck at all and parts were quite especially the cherries were bitter and inedible, served with polenta and a single carrot, which was the best part ! Chicken was tender but nothing special and served with dauphinoise potatoes very last year ! . Dessert was not fantastic either . Poor overall attitude by the waitress really let the place down . Any good restaurant worth its salt should take criticism and feedback in a positive way , rather the waitress, became hostile and rude and we could hear her, saying to the kitchen staff, quite loudly in a disapproving voice what we had said ! Totally inappropriate and unprofessional. Left the seat and she wasn’t courteous as we left . An overall poor dining experience! Incidentally, during the entire course of the meal only two other customer were present in such a big space !"
