"The pub was pretty empty being a Wednesday lunchtime but we waited about an hour for our food to arrive. After ordering the bar man then told the next customer that the wait would be 45 minutes. They received their food before us although we ordered a good 10 minutes before them. When the food finally arrived it was OK. The veg was hard and watery the pastry on the pie was too thick. The fish and chips were adequate but we were not offered any sauces with are meals. I would definitely not return!"

"We have eaten several times before the harbour height and have always enjoyed the food. On this occasion, we were very disappointed by the choice of food on the menu (which changes from time to time and is not available in advance on the line) and could not find any starter or dessert that one of us liked, the dessert menu was limited in particular, there were only 3 choices (except the standard ice/sorbs/cheese offers). The service was indifferent and inconsistent, the waiter was not aware of the drinks and then served me with the wrong drink, part of our food order was missed and we had to ask for water above etc."

"Even though this restaurant is located right on the dock and has a large sign, it seems like not many people are aware of its existence. It's a pity because it is a wonderful café. The place is impeccably clean, and the staff is friendly. They offer a variety of freshly cooked breakfasts and sandwiches. The views of the Quay from here are some of the best you can find. It's the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the sights of the harbor."

"We went to the Boatyard cafe on Saturday morning on a bank holiday weekend. The inside was busy and so we sat outside, I understand that they were short staffed and had a new chef, eventually we ordered coffees after 20minutes of waiting, another staff member came out, apologised and started to take our order, I requested the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, I was told that there was no smoked salmon, I asked whether there was any gluten free options for bread, she went to check.......15 minutes later the original waiter came out and said there wasn't, I ordered the full English but again as they had run out of gluten free sausages I ordered extra bacon. My wife ordered the avocado on a muffin....ah, there were no muffins!! Clearly the weekend order hadn't been done and this was now turning into a fawlty towers sketch. We ordered what was available and more tea and coffee.Meanwhile the outside dining area was full, 20 mins, no more drinks, 30 mins breakfast and drinks arrive. The food was bland and not well presented, other customers were also complying.I am hoping that this was a bad day, we won't be going back though"

"Wetherspoon should be equated with some standards. The women’s toilet was just disgusting, with green slime around taps and surfaces. The floor is littered with a confetti of toilet roll, because the rolls are too big for the dispensers, and you can’t take more than disintegrating scraps. Toilets unflushed stuffed with scraps of loo roll. Even after you’ve washed your hands you feel unclean. The cleaning sign has signatures that staff and management check the facilities, but they must all be immune to actually caring about the smell, the look, the grime and the taps. It’s filthy. We left as we couldn’t bear to think what the kitchen would be like, where the public cannot see."

"The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and the roasts were delicious. However, the restaurant was busy and we ended up waiting for an hour for our meal, which was difficult as we had a toddler with us. Unfortunately, no one informed us of the long wait or updated us on the status of our order. While the roasts were tasty and good value, the Nabenburger was better than the Brat but served cold. We were also not offered any additional drinks. It's disappointing because it's a beautiful place, but these issues need to be addressed in the future."

"We have eaten at the Sloop a few times. Today the food was good but they no longer offer sweet potato fries as an extra which is a shame. They also used to do pigs in blankets which were delicious but alas no more. The burger meal was great as were the sausages. My seafood platter was OK. The scallops were well cooked but not drained so a lot of wet. They also used very basic white baguettes which let the dish down. I much prefer brown bread with prawns etc. Also the side salad was a little basic. Overall, the meal was enjoyable but those little details were missing."

"at my recent visit to poole I was super hungry after eating with a nice drink and a good look. I came across this amazing looking restaurant, only at the poole harbour, served delicious Italian dishes. besides eating what impressed me was the special treatment of her excellent employees ciro (sumit) and james that allowed me to sit outside while enjoying my tasty chicken steak and wine with a view of the harbour. I was then recommended by another customer a chocolate bakery that was simply the best. the baked was slightly heated with the somewhat local Italian cream and strawberries on the side. this place serves not only to eat that they give them an experience. I will always remember this dinner I had in poole, especially for the super cool staff they have (james and ciro)"

"We actually picked up a take away from here. The food we bought was delicious and I can't fault it at all, it is always very flavourful and well cooked.We did have one problem with a meal, we decided to ring ourselves a take away for delivery one evening, the delivery was okay in wait time and the food gorgeous except mine was the entirely wrong dish from that ordered, we rang them to tell them and along came the owner to our door, he asked us what the problem with the food was, he is also the chef, we showed him the now stone cold wrong dish from that ordered, he said fair enough and immediately had the correct dish delivered to us. The one thing about this experience I want to note is the owners attitude was actually very good even before he knew what the issue was with the food he'd cooked, he gave us an apology and left us feeling positive unlike other establishments staff when solving a problem. We now use them all the time when we have a treat!"

"The pub has a pleasant atmosphere and polite staff, but my experience took a downturn when I complained about the terrible dried peas that had a strange white residue on them. Fortunately, the peas were served in a separate bowl from the fish and chips. However, when I brought this to the waitress's attention, she just stared blankly at me and didn’t respond, which was disappointing. A simple apology and a promise to inform the chef would have been enough to address the issue."

"The restaurant building appears clean, well-organized, and spacious at first glance. However, the prices are high and the drink prices are exorbitant. We ordered two Pepsi drinks from the bar, which cost 6 pounds each. Surprisingly, the drinks tasted like soda water. The waitress explained that it was due to the bottom of the case and offered to change them if they were still unsatisfactory. Despite the replacement, the drinks remained bland. Unfortunately, the waitress did not return after we expressed our dissatisfaction. The food portions were generous, but some dishes were lukewarm and others were dry and solid, likely due to our early booking at 5:00 pm. Many of the dishes were overly salty and lacked adequate seasoning. Overall, the experience at Bournemouth Days restaurant was disappointing, especially considering the expensive 48-pound meal. I do not plan on returning in the future."

"We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant with amazing seafood in a beautiful setting and a wonderful atmosphere. They were able to accommodate us at the last minute, even with our children and dog in tow. We were very grateful for that. The children enjoyed dishes like pasta bolognese and a vegetarian option, while the adults savored seafood dishes like oysters, scallops, and mackerel soup. Desserts were delicious. We will definitely be returning and will make sure to book ahead next time!"

"This is a very pleasant pub in a quiet area. It 's in Hamworthy, part of Poole. Hamworthy is mentioned in the Domeday Book but Poole isn 't. The Yachtsman is so called because it 's near a marina. It does good food, although I 've not had much to eat there myself. It seems fairly popular and is the 'local ' for quite a big area. Gets my vote over some other pubs."

"While the view from the restaurant is excellent, the prices reflect that. I found the food to be good, but not quite worth the cost. Paying over £15 for a salad feels a bit steep. I'm not sure I'll return anytime soon, but the ambiance is lovely, especially on a summer day when you can sit outside. The service was not exceptional, which is something I would expect in a place like this."

"The halloumi fries were overcooked—I’ve had them here before and know how they should be prepared. They were nearly burnt, rather than a nice golden brown. The flavor was unappealing, and the cheese was rubbery and dry. I ate them only because I was really hungry. I was also informed that I wasn’t entitled to a salad since I had two tapas starters, which seemed unreasonable, especially since my meal was more expensive than some of the mains that do include a salad. Ironically, my daughter didn’t want a salad, so she gave me hers. Unfortunately, the fries were so unappetizing that I struggled to eat them—definitely overcooked and not enjoyable at all. I didn’t want to create a fuss on my daughter’s birthday, but this should not have been served. I did leave a tip for our server, as it wasn’t her fault. Would I recommend the place? Yes, if you happen to visit when the chef is having a good day, as I have enjoyed meals there in the past!"

"We went to the point for lunch for my daughter’s birthday. The place was almost empty, apart from a couple of other diners. It was cold in the restaurant and the service was not great. After taking our initial order and bringing our food we did not see the waiter again. We even had to go to the desk to pay when we wanted to leave. I ordered a chicken wrap, which had hardly any chicken in it and other ingredients that I was not expecting. Disappointing for the price. I have wanted to visit this restaurant for a while now and have to say I was disappointed in the whole experience."

"On the 5th of November popped in to have lunch with my daughter and I don't no how to say this but the food was amazing I can honestly say I have not had lunch like it. The pie was full of meat ant the cheesy chips were to die for. After eating my lunch I had the sweats which doesn't happen that often. Well done to lou the land lady for operating a great business."
