"Unfortunately, it’s disappointing to learn that this establishment will be closing to the public in a few weeks and will no longer operate as a hotel. In a sale that was not made public, a hotelier from Belfast has purchased the property, which will now be used to house immigrants for an unspecified period, with the new owner paying approximately £162,000 to the local council. All pre-booked weddings and events have already been canceled, and the bar will be removed, resulting in job losses for many staff members, including some of our friends. It's truly sad to see such a landmark hotel come to this end. With some development, it had the potential to become a much-needed luxury spa hotel in Portrush.
