"My partner and I were exploring Ramatuelle on Saturday evening and decided to stop for dinner at Le Cigalon as we wanted to eat 'local' so the Italian restaurant just didn't appeal to us. The restaurant has apparently been under new family management since last year and the family appear to have taken on quite a task in turning around the rather poor reputation left by previous owner. Our restaurant choice for the evening turned out to be a very wise choice. Not only is the location pretty fab - sitting under-cover in the Place de l'Ormeau, but the food was delicious (a very nice pear tart and a moulleux au chocolate cooked by the mother of our waiter was the perfect finish a great evening), the pichet of very local rosé was a treat and the service was relaxed, polite and very friendly. If you're in the area, I heartily recommend a visit! Simple cuisine at its best."
