"No prices outside was a red flag so we asked to see a priced menu before we committed to a table. Prices were perfectly reasonable so not sure why they’re not promoted? Maybe they think it’s a point of difference? Somewhat weird. The pizza was too thin more like a tortilla in truth and short on toppings. If you just live cheese this is probably the place for you but meat, seafood and vegetables, even onions and peppers are in short supply. The pasta dish was huge but only lukewarm had clearly been transferred to the rustic casserole after cooking and the dish was cold. The sauce was okay, but the tomato element sweet and synthetic tasting. House wine was nice and priced right. Would we return? Not a chance. This is chain food dressed up to seem better. The location is lovely but better to add a few Euros more and eat next door."

"Platos muy sabrosos, especialmente platos de pescado, muy frescos. Los empleados fueron muy amables con el cliente y recibieron comidas frescas y calientes muy rápidamente. Y el café es muy rico. Después de la cena recibimos un trago sin alcohol de la tienda. Definitivamente recomendado."

"Un restaurante donde poder disfrutar de un buen plato de jamón campestre. El entorno podría ser bonito si no estuviera tan cerca de la carretera y de los transeúntes que sólo tendrían que alargar la mano para comer el plato. El menú ha sufrido una explosión de precios que no son tan evidentes en los restaurantes vecinos. Nos decepcionó mucho encontrar una copa de sangría por 12€ mientras que en Santa Margarida no supera los 7€."

"Fuimos a cenar hamburguesas a este lugar en la calle principal de rosas. los camareros eran agradables, las hamburguesas eran muy buenas, el precio era correcto y el lugar estaba limpio. No le doy cinco estrellas porque ninguno de los camareros habló catalán, pero todos hablaron francés."

"Whenever I write a review I try to be positive. Here goes: the tapas were fine but did not arrive together.20 minutes between first and last arriving. Ditto the drinks. We ordered four magret de canard and only three arrived. The fourth had not been cooked! Paella for two was not fresh, contained hardly any seafood and the pork was just bones. It was oversalted and inedible. We explained to the waiter who just ignored us. Another waiter did agree to replace it and as the duck looked okay we plumped for that to share. The meat was good but the accompaniments were overcooked and dry. Needless to say we.left them. Whilst all this was going on several of the waiters deliberately avoided our table and were rude and unhelpful. There were six of us at the table and we were unable to eat at the same time. Hugely disappointing as our friends had travelled from France for the day. At no time was an apology offered. When the bill arrived it was accompanied by four.small shots of lemon liqueur... I imagine a peace offering. Our party consisted.of three adults and three seventeen year olds. Four of us speak Spanish and French so lack of communication can not be an excuse. My advice would be to seek out a more welcoming restaurant and to La Cal Margarita...employ staff who know their job."

"wonderful. We ate wonderfully, all fresh, with good moments to enjoy the food without haste to cool something. amazing. The shrimp for me has been the star dish. super sweet knives. the mussels with a good spicy point. have the option of clamps for crustaceans. The blood was very good. The only drawback could have been the waiter, but I think it was new. It was difficult for him to stay with some things and talk with a lot of demotivation. On the contrary, I was very attentive to the time of collecting empty dishes, glasses, etc. On a couple of occasions a companion or superior came with him to advise us when we eat and it was a wonderful attention on his part. We will return without hesitation."

"We made a reservation for 21:30. The person on the phone told me that it would be more convenient for them if we could arrive at 20:30. So we did. However we only discover once we were there that the reason was that they wanted to give our table to someone else at 22:00. We were 9 people arriving between 20:20 and 21:00, we ordered food at 21:10 and received it at 21:40. In the meantime, we have been stressed by the waitress 4-5 times about the time. Finally 21:55 someone informed us that we could keep our table... a bit late to relax... The location is great, with nice music and view. I enjoyed the Curry, when friends were more sceptical about their burgers. Major negative point was the service. It was terrible. We felt that we were just disturbing the waitress every time we ordered a drink. Her attitude and way of talking to us was execrable and highly disrespectful."

"the best place for the roses to eat gluten-free pizza, I don't know if they have more lyrics appropriate for the celiacs. the dough costs 2€ and worth the money. the waiters are very attentive and nothing more than asking if they had gluten-free food they told us yes, but all the pizzas go to the same oven but the gluten-free accompany them with a thick and good quality aluminum tray ensuring that there is no contact with the base of the oven despite the particles that may be in the air inside it. they come to brim with ingredients and the taste is exceptional. the dough is cut very well and although it seems frozen (as usual) is not difficult, it eats very well and is very juicy. As for home desserts we have gluten free panna cotta strawberry, chocolate or caramel, Catalan cream and flan. the sublime strawberry bread also, the hot syrup gives a very delicious touch. without a doubt a restaurant where to come and enjoy day after day and without rest."

"Have eaten here many times over the last ten years, over the years the food has more and more gone over to fine dining with a microwave. The service is adequate, if you like to here the same old jokes from Antonio year after year its a bonus. This year will really be our last visit, finding plastic in the spagetti and being served last years mayo use by date 11/19 is the last straw, when we told Antonio about the plastic and the mayo all he did was through them in the bin. No appologies, nothing! There are plenty more restaurants in Roses with a menu the same price, so take your pick!"

"A very known (and non turistic) restaurant in Roses. Very good dishes. Provided with very good fishes and meats, this familiar place will offer you a very balanced meals. Good service. Good wines. "In a very busy and hot Roses, As a party of four, we decided to search the back streets for a restaurant in the shade. Taberna del Mar was busy but had a table free. Not wanting fish or paella, I opted for goats cheese salad to start and chicken escalope for main. The goats cheese salad was delicious and couldn’t be faulted however when I had eaten a quarter of my escalope to my horror I discovered it was raw. I told the waiter who told me it was very good quality chicken and he would fry it again for me. I told him even if it was good quality you can’t eat RAW chicken and I did not want anything else. He agreed to take the cost of the meal off the final bill. All in all a terrible lunchtime experience, the sauces to accompany my fellow diners meals were not served, the accompaniments of chips were the tiniest portions and the service was inattentive and slow. Would definitely not return or recommend."

"El ambiente es realmente agradable. No se tiene vista al mar porque el restaurante está en un callejón detrás de la primera fila, pero el hermoso patio con sus arcos y plantas artificiales es impresionante. La paella de marisco estaba muy rica. Al menos dos personas tienen que pedir el plato para conseguir una sartén. Esto cuesta 14 € cada uno. En mi opinión la porción era un poco pequeña. También lo he notado en otros restaurantes de Roses. Mi esposa comió espaguetis a la carbonara, que le parecieron un poco sosos."

"It has a lot of us! the very nice and cozy place, although perhaps too many paintings for when it is full of everything. because if you keep doing this, you will fill it soon. has the view of the kitchen and it is very interesting to see how they prepare the final touches of the dish. the letter is very suitable, not long or short, and there is a little of everything. The croquettes are amazing! crispy on the outside and melose and very tasty inside. the steak pier in **** mary is very good! and the lemonade pear dessert is amazing and delicious! the price very suitable.
