"We spent two nights in the suite of our choice and two dinners in the hotel. This was our third visit to this small hotel with the outsized restaurant. Previously we had spent only one night here, largely because it was booked up. This year...we were able to book the 2 nights. We like to hike in the forest and it is really amazing to find all the trails. This year we had hoped to do the hike to Pierrfonds, have lunch, visit the castle and hike back. Threats of lightning and thunder persuaded us to to the majority of that days hiking around the hotel and then to drive tp Pierrefondsa for the lunch and castle visit. Our dinners in the romantic and stylish restaurant were most satisfying. (The special cheese course delivered as 2 scoops of cheese ice cream on either side of a line of dried fruit was unique and amazing. Breakfast was ample, a basket of assorted breads, croissants, etc, a tasty fruit cup, orange juice, yogurt and eggs to order. Ample coffee and hot milk. All in all the service in the restaurant is most professional and correct, to top off the experience. It is a bit more than 40 minutes to CDG if you are flying in or out."
