"Had a great night in this pub until the landord accused me of hitting a woman in the pub when cctv footage confirmed I was innocent. This was backed up by both the police and pubwatch. The landlord continued to accuse me of this horrible accusation across a crowded bar even though I was proved innocent. Continued to threaten me along with his son. Disgraceful behaviour that ruined a lovely night. Slanderous accusations that were proved incorrect by cctv footage. Disgusting behaviour."

"decided to stop here last week for a coffee, but we saw the menu and saw everything homemade, so had lunch too. I can only wish the new owner every success. the food was so fresh and tasty freshly cooked (a bonus...these days we will surely return again (next week) for an excellent lunch. Moreover, the staff was so friendly and nothing was too much annoyed."

"Set in the small village of Ash, I have always loved this pub. It's where I first ventured out into the grown-up world of pubs, so I am going to be slightly biased. It has had many landlords over the many years I've been going here, and the current owner and staff are amongst the very best. I can't speak about the food, but the pub has a real, local feel which is becoming quite difficult to find these days. A good selection of well-kept beers helps of course."

"Well done on your carvery! Excellent selection and really tasty. I had a large and my wife a regular, and we couldn't finish it all! The gammon is amazing... Some of the best I've had (including my wife's don't tell her! Saw the chef as she came down to check on everything and gave her the praise she deserved too... Give that woman a raise!"

"We went to visit the Haynes Museum one more time after a year and after we finished we decided to eat somewhere nearby. This Inn was recommended to us by a nice lady from the Museum, so we arrived in a few minutes. Since we were hungry, we ordered the daily menu with tomato soup and for the second course we had gammon. Everything was very good, comfortable seats, tasty and cold beer, fast service, hot and tasty food. We will definitely make a stop at the Inn when we are in the area"

"I bought a galvanised watering can from here about a year ago and within a few months it starting to rust through at the bottom. I took it back (with a receipt) on Wednesday expecting a refund or credit note. By this time there was a large hole in the bottom of the watering can but I was told that it wasn't possible to refund me unless I spoke to the supplier who would authorise the refund. The lady dealing with this was supposedly a supervisor and was extremely rude. I asked why she couldn't authorise the refund and was told that they do not do this. She very reluctantly gave me the number to call of said supplier and expected ME to make the call by which time steam was coming out of my ears! My husband, who was waiting in the car, was horrified and agreed that it shouldn't be up to the customer to do this. The day was saved by a much more polite salesperson who made the call when we went back in. I finally got my refund. I cannot believe that that this is the company policy and I'm still fuming about how rudely I was treated. We have been to Palmers and used the cafe a couple of times, and I'm afraid that the service and food were also dreadful. We will definitely not be returning there."

"Horrendous coffee. Three of us ordered flat white coffees. The lady dispensed them into mugs from a machine. There was lots of white foam on top. When we started to drink them and stirred them, all there was appeared to be a lightly coloured liquid with no taste or flavour of any coffee added. After 3 sips each we left them in disgust. The cafe was very busy and the queue to the drinks was very long, so as we did not have much time we continued on our journey. I wish now we had complained about the quality. It reminded me of dish water or the coffee had run out whilst being dispensed. I wonder if whatever coffee you order, it all comes out of the same spout. Never again."

"Located in the heart of Somerton, opposite the historic market cross, this restaurant is a charming and pleasant spot to visit. The staff are lovely, efficient, and friendly. Although I would have preferred raspberry jam with my tea cakes, the strawberry jam was still enjoyable. The tea selection was good, and I opted for Assam, with an extra tea bag added to make it stronger. My wife appreciated having oat milk available for her coffee. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere was a pleasant surprise, making our visit enjoyable and special. We also enjoyed exploring the independent shops nearby and were happy to support them, although we were saddened by the closure of the Antique center. Overall, we highly recommend stopping by this restaurant for a relaxing hour."

"We received a warm welcome and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere at this restaurant. Our family room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, toiletries, a spacious wardrobe, dressing table, and TV. The bathroom was a bit disappointing as it was not spotless, with some mould/mildew in the shower that could have been easily cleaned with some attention. However, we had a restful night's sleep. The food at the pub was amazing, and the breakfasts were delicious, with freshly cooked hot food, juices, yogurt, cereal, and toast made to order. The hotel has separate entrances to the main pub, making it convenient for late arrivals with a provided key. There was plenty of parking available as well. Overall, it was a good stay and we would definitely return if we were in the area again."

"AVOID Me and my partner have called 4 times on 3 different days to ask about their menu, and what tastecard covers (as they are advertised as a tastecard restaurant and it specifies with all tastecard restaurants you have to call at least two hours in advance anyway) they’ve hung up on us for asking a simple question about their menu, told us to call the next day which we did and were hung up on again and we’re just overall ridiculously rude. Avoid this place, haven’t heard great things about the food but we just wanted an Indian, guess we can’t have one apparently"

"This restaurant has excellent service, friendly staff, and delicious food of high quality. We dined in for dinner and the price per person ranged from £30 to £40. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a rating of 5. We highly recommend trying the Chicken Korma dish."

"On arrival the garden and grounds and view were superb. We found a nice table and all was very clean, the waitress friendly and efficient. Sadly it was not a carvery but a plated meal. When it arrived I was sad to see that the plate was overloaded. Gammon slice, (bit fatty 6 roast potatoes (which could have been a little more crisp. cauliflower, carrots, parsnips, brocholli, pop up Yorkshire pudding. stuffing (a bit tasteless, and gravy. A massive meal which would have done me for two days. It looked good value but sadly I could only find room for half the amount. Sticky toffee pudding with custard was superb. and a good coffee to follow. I feel this pub has missed a trick. Most of the people lunching were 70 plus and would have preferred to have a carvery where they could just take as much as the wanted and not been over faced by such a plateful I shall go again but try their a la carte menue, ot specials if they have them"

"This place truly embraces the concept of 'what you see is what you get '—not much, to be honest. But hey, kudos to them for placing the toilets at ground level! It 's like they 're saying, 'We 'll bring you down to earth, both literally and figuratively. ' Now, let 's talk about the guacamole situation. While it still showed a striking resemblance to its original form -an intact avocado- I must confess that the lack of proper mashing and the presence of the sizeable chunks left a rather disheartening impression alongside my Nacho 's. Alas, the lively presence of the local crackheads, engaging in their spirited antics just outside, undeniably added a unique flair to the ambiance of the establishment. As for the staff, while the majority performed adequately, there was one individual who exhibited a remarkable talent for selective obliviousness, leading us to resort to increasingly desperate attempts to capture their attention. A truly unforgettable experience!"

"Went in late for a sunday roast, think everything was cooked yesterday as the freshest item on the plate was the veg, the pigs in blankets or pigs in face cloths I should say were about as shrivelled and dry as a pensioners willy, service was unmentionable but not bad, think I most enjoyed the music along side the meal. Hopefully its better earlier in the day but I wouldnt bother coming in the evening."

"They've been eating here for years. best food for miles. love it. Currently, due to covid restrictions, it is not entirely as usual only wed, thurs, Fri lunch time open. in the rule there is a little British food (too much to eat), but the circumstances do not allow too much to cook, so it is just Thai does not play any role at the moment, which is most important. take my advice, eat here. Please 'phone first tho ' to book so understandable, sitting places are restricted. they will not be disappointed."

"We enjoyed a warm and cozy atmosphere at the restaurant with attentive and friendly staff. It was a pleasant evening spent with my family. The lamb dish I ordered was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, while my companion raved about the dreamy risotto. The children loved their pizza. The desserts were divine, from the refreshing lemon sorbet to the indulgent chocolate fountains and fresh profiteroles. We left feeling stuffed, content, and eager to return soon. Thank you for a lovely evening!"
