"Went with friends for the Halloween special tea. What a treat! The shop is near the bus station, so just a short walk. The team was in fancy dress and the shop was decorated. Our table was waiting on us when we arrived--we got a brownie, a cupcake, a slice of devil 's food cake (with a 'syringe ' full of syrup to drizzle), finger sandwiches, a bite of sausage roll, crackers and tuno, a small mocktail, and a hot drink...all vegan! There were so many more lovely cakes in the display case, but we had more than we could eat with the tea. The shop is DOG FRIENDLY! Which sadly I didn 't find out until I arrived, which was a real shame because my little dog would have loved it. We made a special trip from Canterbury for the meal, and we really enjoyed it. We made an afternoon of it and hit up the charity shops afterward."

"I discovered this restaurant on Saturday while searching for a place to eat. My two little kids and I were very happy that we found it. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and we all enjoyed our delicious meals. The portions for the children's meals were quite generous. I ordered the fish and chips, which was tasty. We decided to come back the next day for the Sunday dinner menu, which was also very good. We will definitely visit again. The staff and the food were fantastic, and there was even a band playing on Sunday that added to the wonderful atmosphere at the Churchill Tavern. We had a great time and the locals were friendly too."

"You may have to wait a while, but the exceptional service at this restaurant is worth it! The staff, including a tall person with long hair and other young employees whose names I don't know, are incredibly helpful, polite, friendly, and professional. They are attentive and show empathy towards customers. Overall, the wait for their service is well worth it."

"We visited Cramptons late on a Saturday about 3.00pm and were lucky as the kitchen closes at 3.15pm. We ordered the large salsa nachos to share. When they came up the plate was huge with nachos covered in melted cheese, salsa, jalapeno peppers and separate pots of guacemole and sour cream. They were delicious and more than enough for two. I am disabled and in a wheelchair and they have a big disabled toilet which is spotlessly clean but has no lock so if people who can't be bothered to use the ordinary toilets need to go they can just walk in! Luckily this did not happen to me. I presume it is for safety reasons in case someone gets stuck in there. We read the menu while waiting for our food and they really have a lovely selection which is very reasonably priced. The other customers were really helpful holding the doors open so my husband could get me out in the wheelchair as the door opening is quite narrow. Altogether a great place and we will be back."

"here today with the family as we remain in the opposite. after the description as “an average experience” missed so many basic service and restaurant standards! drink us at the rande of the glass (where our munde would go then) instead of the trunk. cute not clean, bay one table of 12 sitting over two tables one table of ten, and one table of two. lonely for the two. food quality very average. all served in separate dressing (which we all found strange children's meals were only the sausages on the plate, then pierced hot harbour harness separated from chips, ground / drill in separate dressing. Why not just put everything on the plate? (it will save her team when they come into the tabs that often, and it will save that! children asked for brokkoli on the preorder, received inheritance. the steak"

"Made our day. We’d taken a party of 12 blind and disabled people to the seaside and were refused access to Wetherspoons because we had a dog. We’re very relieved to find a warm welcome at Cafe G. The young man who served us was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. He moved tables and chairs so we could all sit together on the terrace. He helped us order separately and was really patient. The food was delicious. I had a crispy oven backed jacket potato and the baguettes went down well. The dog loved the ice cream. We were very pleased indeed with both the food and the service."

"Beautiful pub, loved the decor and taken a great deal of pride in their Christmas Decorations. We were having a rare family get together for brunch. Having waited over an hour for our food, whilst watching others come in, order food and leave having eaten. Our food eventually arrived.... cold, the toast was brought before the rest of the food and that was already cold. The one before last meal arrived which my husband said wasn't too bad, although the chips were mainly burnt and inedible. We eventually decided to complain to a very rude barmaid who made some unprintable remarks to a man sitting at the bar. Because I prefer my tea with my meal, I didn't drink it, expecting my meal, eventually asking her to pop it in the microwave, which she did, but to be honest would have been better to have to made me a fresh one. By this time everyone had either eaten or not bothered because how cold it was and mine never arrived at all. Yes we did get a part refund and won't be returning. At no time did the barmaid/waitress come over and apologise for the delay or warn us that it was a long wait. In terms of pubs and cafes I would say they were not particularly busy, constant but not busy. They need to take a trip to The Racing Greyhound and see how a pub/restaurant is run."

"First impressions last. Ordered a takeaway chicken in yoghurt kebab at £17+. Venue looked great, dishes going to the table looked amazing value. Opening our foil container and it was almost all bread. Should either change the name of the dish to bread in yogurt with a bit of chicken garnish, or put more of the primary named ingredient in. Calling them back is just as fruitless as it’s perm engaged but it is Saturday. Perhaps Saturdays is con the takeaway customers day. Doubtful will ever use again or go in based on this. Service and atmos was ok, but food a huge let down."

"I entered Ramsgate from the west, and as I sauntered along the military road by the harbour, this was the first coffee stop I came to. It's one of a string of small cafes, bars, and businesses occupying what must have once been storage caverns for the maritime and military industries. The walk along there is gorgeous, because you're at the foot of the magnificent historical brick walling and arches that clad the chalk cliffs. Inside, Coco was very theatrical, and darkly atmospheric, and looked like the sort of place that would come to life in the evening. I took my coffee and cake out front and sat next to a vintage contraption with bike seats attached to it and gazed out onto the sunny scene. Heaven. My Americano was small but decent. With that I had a tasty bit of apple-and-cinnamon cake, though it had a couple of chewy, indigestible bits in it which I thought at first were plastic but were maybe baked pips. The cafes got busier as I went on closer to the centre, so this had been a great choice for a peaceful moment in a quirky, unique spot. You won't see military architecture like Ramsgate's military arches anywhere else."

"We popped in here for a bite to eat after strolling round Margate. We looked at all the menus, and found that this was simple fare and looks welcoming I had a full breakfast and my partner had the vegetarian version. The food was well presented and given with a good smile by our waitress. The options of tea and the fact it was loose leaf was good. If you’re in Margate, and fancy a cuppaor a bite, this is a great place to stop"
"Went last Wednesday for a bite of lunch down by the harbour in the sunshine. An unassuming place from the outside. The Cafe is divided into 2 parts with the second being a retail area which we didn 't try. Archive Cafe has an interesting display counter where you can see exactly what 's on offer. Inside seating area different aswell as a clutch of outside tables looking over the harbour. We chose a couple of quiches from the specials with salad. Mine was Mushroom blue cheese a side of coleslaw, all made in the kitchen. loved every last mouthful. Followed it by a Mixed berry Swedish bun, just so moist packed with flavour a coffee where clearly the barrista knew their stuff a mere americano at that. Worth searching out."

"I waited at the bar for over 15 minutes without being served and completely ignored. When I asked the lady at the bar for assistance, she said to wait a minute but instead started tidying up the bar. Another customer who was already seated at the bar asked for a drink and was served before us. As a result, we decided to leave and will not be returning. We were considering having a family party at this restaurant but due to the poor service, we will be looking elsewhere."

"Amazing! Kind of stumbled on the place to have breakfast because we missed it at our hotel and glad we did! My son was in his element he loved that we could go upstairs on the bus it really is a treat! We had a amazing view of the sea and the whole vibe was great! The food was wow! Incredible tasted fresh and clean if that makes sense?! Was refreshing to order such honest healthy food! This place really stood out as the best place we ate at in Margate I would definitely recommend you check it out!"

"We were on holiday in the area and saw on TA that this place does excellent Sunday lunches, so I called them up and tried to book a table. The lady I spoke to said they don’t take phone bookings, she couldn’t see the booking...system and told me to use the website online system. So I did. I submitted the Form and got an automated acknowledgment. I heard nothing back. On the morning of our booking I rang the restaurant and politely enquired if they could accommodate us for lunch … the same lady said “hold on, I’ll check” and she came back saying they were fully booked! Half an hour before my requested booking, I got an email confirming they were full. What a complete shambles of a booking system."

"This is an independent gem in Birchington. I try to go in after I visit customers there. It's always busy and friendly. The staff are pleasant, polite and speedy. The homebaked cakes, though limited in choice, are delicious. Coffee is good and strong. It is...comfortable to sit alone, though I have also taken my mum, who loved the atmosphere. Always clean , and the toilet is spotless. There is also a garden for good weather."

"Me my wife previously visited this restaurant a few times last year so thought we would return to see if it was still as good as before. Although the staff were different, we can confirm that this place is still superb, so good in...fact that we visited three times within the same week. Liam looked after us on all our visits this week can confirm that his politeness, friendliness general all round service was superb, he was part of the reason we returned each time, well done thank you Liam. Me my wife shared many items drinks on the menu, all of which were absolutely outstanding reasonably priced, nothing detrimental to say whatsoever. The whole restaurant Hotel just has a really nice ambience to it, very clean well maintained along with quality fixtures fittings, we will definitely return on our next visit to Ramsgate."

"Have eaten here many time because I like the way the chef combines unusual flavours with a Spanish twist. However, I doubt I will be returning. The reason is, when I returned the Gambas Rojas because the stench of 'gone off ' prawns was so strong (and baring in mind prawns are my favourite dish and I 've eaten them in every way, in many places so I 'd like to think I wasn 't a fussy prawn customer), the staff couldn 't care less. I spoke to 2 waitresses about the fact I was unable to eat the very expensive dish and both gave a very unresponsive reply that said they couldn 't care less and neither would the chef, just give us your money and go. Not once did they offer the chef to make an alternative dish or anything. It felt like I was part of the fast show! Just pay the bill and clear the table for the next person."

"Very slow service. Very limited menu. Poor value for money. We ordered bread and olives for the table. We received a small bowl of olives, three slices of sourdough bread (for 4 diners? and some flavoured butter no plates or butter knives. The menu had recently changed and was more limited than the summer menu. The only vegetarian main dish was unavailable, as it had apparently not been prepped. The chicken and leek pie had been heavily flavoured with a herb (tarragon? which was not mentioned on the menu, and which gave it a very strong liquorice/aniseed flavour. The pie itself was very big, and generously filled, but very much more leek than chicken, and the chicken appeared to be thigh rather than breast meat. The haddock and chips was generous, but the skin had been left on the fish. The single dessert ordered (rice pudding had an excessive amount of topping which overpowered the flavour of the rice. Service took so long that we were at our table for well over two hours."
