"After hearing such good reviews about this place we thought we’d try it out. We ordered 5 small plates and one main between 4 us. I can’t fault the portion sizes, it’s just a shame about the food quality and the service 3/5 small plates came and then 20 minutes later we had not received the other two small plates plus the main when they finally came after chasing two separate members of staff) the chicken on the main was cold, the garlic bread was burnt and the hummus looked like it was sat open in the fridges for ages couple of days. It was busy and I understand staff were busy but a decent service would have been nice, the staff looked depressed and no smiles what’s so ever, one lady behind the bar stood giving my friend and I such dirty looks while we stood waiting to order. We did get a refund on the main £15) but for a lunch that cost over £100 I was expecting something amazing. Definitely will not be returning."

"I Ordered two breakfasts and two cups of tea. asked if I could have the teas served with the meal as teas go cold if the food service is slow (and it was slow . I was rudely told was told we 're too busy to bring teas to the table At the table there was no place to leave the used tea bags or the used sugar sachets so we had to leave them on the table. The meals were delivered and I 'm not sure how as they are too busy to bring the drinks to the table or (Doh! they could have brought the drinks with the meals. The food was barely acceptable in quality and quantity (the toast was two pieces of warm bread and the service was downright rude. If you want a poor quanlity meal, served by rude and unhelpful staff in a needlessly noisy cafe this is the place for you (NOT ."

"What is the point in having staff when we do all the service? Despite the restaurant-like prices, the service is that of a pub, though you get a more hands on approach in a Weatherspoon’s. You have to go and order your drinks and food yourself at the bar and take them BACK to your table yourself. Be sure not to drop your drinks when going back to your table because they will have you play cleaner as well as waiter. When ordering a jug of water to the table, we asked for glasses to which the server responded “yeah they’re by the bar” and walked off. Were it not for us requesting that (shock horror) the waiter bring the glasses, we would not have got them. As we were the ones waiting for over an hour, it’s no wonder we assumed the role of waiter. No explanation from staff as to the hour wait for our SANDWICH. Not even a gesture of good-will in the form of a complementary drink or even an apology. We shan’t be returning."

"If you like your food fresh, local and sustainable then Angela’s is for you. Cooked to perfection and without fuss, the Ray Wing and Hake dishes we chose were beautiful. We ate at Rocksalt and were underwhelmed, but Angela’s exceeded our expectations. You can’t beat simple, fresh ingredients prepared sympathetically and served without over embellishment. We’ll definitely be back."

"This restaurant is terrible. The staff is rude and invasive, even asking young children their ages without permission from the adults. The food was okay, but the horrible service and attitude ensure that we will not return and will actively discourage others from going. Despite a party of 7 spending well, the experience was so unpleasant that we were shocked."

"We arrived and it wasn’t very busy. We were told there was no fish but we could have a beef sandwich or hunters chicken .We ordered from a very limited menu. 2 all day breakfasts and 3 macaroni cheeses with chips . My Mac and cheese was cold in the middle it had been warmed in the microwave and I don’t think it was macaroni It was hard dry cold pasta where it had been left made and then heated with grated cheese on the top. it was very dry I told the staff they took it away and brought it back reheated again in a microwave I got a sorry about that . The chips had a taste of potatoes that had been part boiled and left then fried .we asked to see the puddings and were told we have apple crumble with cream or ice cream take your choice . I have been before and had a nice meal but I don’t think I will go again was very disappointed with choices and food . The barn has a good selection of meat ,cheeses, and vegetables so why are they not using them in the restaurant to show off local produce and quality food Instead of the poor quality food that was served for lunch today ."

"We had superb coffee here about 3 years ago when we were last in Broadstairs, so visited again whilst staying in the area. The decor seating is modern, the coffee is superb and the brunch/breakfast was tasty. The double espressos are good quality with a decent crema the macchiato was excellent, with the milk coffee in good proportions. The bagel with smoked salmon cream cheese was delicious and the sour dough toast with smashed advocado, soft boiled egg and bacon was tasty. The only minor things was that the coffee bar was a bit drafty and I thought it odd to have so many of the tables with reserved on them in such a small place."

"Had a table with a view of an amazing sunset over Margate harbour arm. Not much ambiance in the restaurant as only 2 tables were occupied. Our waiter was very obliging and patient. Starters were tasty. My mains rack of lamb was perfectly cooked as the chef really listened to how I wanted it cooked. My husbands baked aubergines were under cooked unfortunately. Desserts were delicious. Strange that there was no fish on the menu, and the wine list was quite limited. However, will definitely return and will recommend to friends."

"waited 1 and half an hour for cold eating to supply I my ice cold not only cold hot. took cold eating back to the restaurant where I was told I would have microwave it worth eating £30 that I should warm. to myself. a freshly cooked order was offered in 10 minutes. I came home with my freshly cooked meal! to find it, the returned meal was only microshaft. After waiting for me to eat for 2 hours, I starved and just ate twice cooked, let us hope I won't get sick). after all this waiting around and rude service from the restaurant was eating absolutely disgusting bland soggy and tasteless. would never come back and warn that no one from here cannot order."

"good caffe, always busy. good food, reasonable prices. a lot on the menu. breakfast between £5.50 and £7.50 easier options like sandwiches, toast, salat. also main dishes such as gammonei n chips or homemade lasagne. "I came with my aunt and 1 YO daughter for mothers day, we had the carvery and my daughter had a kids meal, the food was okay, what you 'd expect for the price, cheap and cheerful, exactly what I wanted for an easy laid back mothers day. Our table was booked for 12:30, I was second to arrive and FOH couldn 't direct me to the table as they couldn 't see the booking, luckily my aunt had text me the table number so I directed myself. When I went up for my carvery there was nobody there so I waited a short while, the cook dropped the tongs then I can only presume rinsed them or pretended to because he went in the 'in ' door (after another cook ignored his request to swap them for him) was gone for about 20 seconds and came out with tongs that still had food on so either same tongs or (benefit of the doubt) just different tongs already in use elsewhere... After our mains we asked for my daughters ice cream twice as it hadn 't showed, just as she had a spoonful a lady in striped jumper approached up and asked if we would be able to make the table available soon, I apologised and explained that my daughter had only just got her ice cream, she asked if they could have the table in 10 minutes, no other tables in our section of the same size were asked similar, the other tables of the same size were either clean and empty or had groups that had been there longer than us... I was extremely confused but of course understand demand, especially on mothers day, just didn 't understand why the table with a toddler eating their pudding was asked to move on but a same size party of only adults finishing their drinks were not asked the same? Also just after the lady left a group was seated in our section and given a choice of tables so obviously reservations aren 't designated to certain tables? As soon as it had been 10 minutes I took the wafer offy toddler and told her all done and left the table. Took toddler into play area for 20 minutes to burn off steam, came out and the table was still empty so unsure why I felt so rushed for my toddler to finish her well deserved pudding. I felt pushed out."

"very nice cozy restaurant. personal very friendly and professional. we ate well, eating was absolutely delicious ... appetizer scallops and mustels, haupts monkfish and beef fillet, puds coconut tart with fresh mango and homemade rum and rosineneis, pistachio and rhubarb crumble with orange custard and homemade vanilleeis. good wine list, had kir royals, a very nice prosecco and pudding wine! we loved everything and didn't think twice about going back. I wanted to celebrate my birthday so very happy, so a nice dinner and had evening. Thank you."

"Horrible and racist staff, would never step foot in this place again! We just came into the restaurant. We were completely ignored by the first waiter and he went and attended to the people behind us. We then found a table OURSELVES and another waitress came and asked how many people were here to dine. There were 4 of us and then she told us to sit down. 2 mins after we sat down, she asks us if we had a reservation, we did not. She then told us to get up and leave the restaurant. I was shocked with her disgusting and rude behaviour and we promptly left. I am so happy that we did not spend our money in such a place. They should train their staff to be more welcoming and maybe a course in customer service since there clearly wasn't any! It won't kill anyone to mention that it's important to have a reservation or that their restaurant is full so they are not taking any walk ins at the moment. The complete absence of respect is surprising and I'm sure more customers will be put off visiting if this is what their staff is like."

"The location is stunning. Dogs are allowed on the terrace but you cant enter through the terrace sign on back menu board). So you go through the restaurant . Only as you enter you are told to carry your dog !! Not a problem as we have a small dog but what a crazy rule , when it would be so much easier if you could enter the back way. As you always used to be able to do. The terrace is totally underused as only the high part is waited on. This restaurant could take so much more money if fully open. On that note, we tried to get in the night before at 7.50 only to be told it was closing. Crazy , but ok ! We love Prezzo so booked for tonight, earlier today with a very friendly male manager. The food was good and tasty but the restaurant has too many niggles to be great. The waiting staff barring the initial member were very friendly. Prezzos prices have really gone up . Its not an exclusive restaurant so stop trying to charge like one !"

"My wife was presenting at the Birchington Literary Festival (writes under the name Linda M James) and we needed a light spot of lunch at 12.30 pm on Saturday 30th April. The place was nearly full as it was so popular. I ordered a sandwich, 2 americano coffees and a slice of quiche. The food and coffee were excellent and we did not have to wait very long for the waitress to bring our order. Lovely atmosphere and I do recommend coming here."

"We ordered crispy duck, chicken satay, beef in black bean sauce, prawn toast, crispy chili beef, BBQ pork ribs, Chinese special curry, special fried rice, and pork chowmein. The crispy duck was served with a whole leg, completely crispy and freshly cooked - it tasted amazing. The chicken satay had the perfect sauce, exactly how I like it. The beef in black bean sauce was phenomenal - the beef was tender and the flavors were spot on. The prawn toast was unbelievable, and the crispy chili beef was my favorite dish out of everything. The BBQ pork ribs were meaty and delicious, and the Chinese special curry is a must-try. The special fried rice was tasty and could be a healthier option for dinner. The pork chowmein was absolutely delicious. Overall, everything was fantastic - you must try this place!"

"I lived in Thailand for three months and I never ate anything resembling the food that this restaurant churned out. The pad thai was a horrible clump of noodles in a uber mild chili sauce with some prawns in it, that 's it, nothing else. The chicken satay was rubbery and unspiced, the satay sauce was a lumpy peanut butter that had been watered down, I didn 't detect any chili or soy sauce or anything resembling flavour. I could go on but why bother? Was this a bad night for them, I really hope so, otherwise I am completely baffled as to how they manage to get any good reviews at all."
