"Good food and a friendly, laid-back service. All the traditional favourites are there in the menu, the portions are Polish (i.e. generous! and the prices very reasonable indeed. Preparation time wasn't instant. That's because the dishes are based on fresh ingredients prepared on the premises from scratch. To check this out, I chose Placki Ziemniaczane: a dish of 7 crispy potato pancakes served with sour cream, (though you can have them Hungarian-style with a pork goulash too . When I make them at home, I cheat by using Knorr powdered potato... these on the other hand were properly made, by grating potatoes very finely indeed– they took 20 minutes, and were exactly right: light, crisp and delicious. Filling though– I took two of them home! Total cost £6.50. Though it appears unpretentious, it offers some excellent specialities as well as the Polish basics: try their Duck Leg Confit served in its roast jus, accompanied with Silesian Potato Dumplings and grated beetroot. Their Pork Tenderloin served with a Chanterelle sauce and a juicy carrot salad looks wonderful too. I was driving, so their basic range of wines, and some interesting cocktails, were alas, left unsampled..."

"A slightly bizarre experience we were welcomed warmly, taken to our table, and given a menu for pre dinner drinks. No food menus were brought. We ordered drinks, which arrived, but still no menus! So we asked for them. No wine list brought. So we asked for one. All rather odd. The starters were mixed a bland crab risotto, a rather vinegary tartare, an excellent parfait and a crispy egg which needed to be runnier, but was tasty, if too salty. The odd service continued: three of the four of us had finished do the waiter cleared our plates including the one of our friend who hadn’t finished, who was left holding a cracker in her hand! The mains were again mixed and generally over salty. The ravioli were excellent; the steak good but in a sauce which was heavy handed on the seasoning, the fish pleasant, again slightly salty and verging on the overcooked. We had chocolate soufflé for pudding generally well made and tasty, but again the service was odd an ice cream was pushed into it at the table by the waiter which caused a good amount of soufflé to fall inelegantly onto the serving plate; the cheese plate was an interesting but small selection of well kept cheese. Good petit fours (though we were surprised that one containing nuts was offered to us all despite one of us not eating nuts, which we had mentioned). So probably four stars over all, but only just. It’s good to see the restaurant open again but based on this experience, while it’s fine dining, it’s got some way to go to reach the standard of cooking I’m sure they’d like to aspire to."

"My family and I have been coming here for years and we absolutely love it here. My mum orders the same every time she goes in here, and they remember her order every time we went in there yesterday, one of the waiters sees my mum walking in and says ‘someone get this woman a cheese omelette with chips!’ it made us laugh! It’s so lovely to watch how this little cafe has grown in popularity over the years, it’s the best! We love you cafe trio"

"What an amazing place. We found it completely by accident whilst looking for somewhere to break the journey home from Anglesey to the South Coast. The team were hosting the local shoot, alongside a village Trick Or Treat extravaganza when we arrived! So lovely to see a pub that is truly still at the heart of the local community. Despite the fact the staff were really busy, and the pub was overflowing, we were made very welcome, the room was amazing, as was dinner, and nothing was too much trouble. Now we have found you, we WILL be back!! Thank you so much for a lovely stay."

"We ate at lunch today and were handed a menu with no mention of the lunch offer , which included a glass of wine beer soft drink and coffee . As we haven’t been for a while we assumed they no longer did the offer . The food was all good , 3 pizzas and the Agnolotti pasta dish was really tasty . We also had 3 soft drinks and a beer . When paying our bill we noticed an extra charge which we queried and were told one of the items had a surcharge for the lunch offer menu ! . Given we knew nothing about this offer it didn’t make sense . On enquiring further we were told some of our soft drinks weren’t included and it meant we didn’t qualify for the offer , so we are very confused as to how could we incur a surcharge . At no point was any of this explained to us before , or at the time of ordering as we would have been more than happy to have had a drink that was included in the offer . The waiting staff apologized and said we should have been told and I agree . If you are going to do a lunchtime offer you need to make it clear what’s included , both on the menu and at the time of ordering , as we left feeling we had overpaid for what we received and it will make us think twice about returning."

"The worst Indian food I order! The lamb was not eatable at all and the sos was horrible and lots of money as well? The fish ? Where? Not even one piece? And the vegetables samosas were way to spicy?Deffff a bad experience and lots of money! Not reccomend it!.....please check I ordered on uber eat? UPDATE....UPDATE....I did explain in my review what happened but just eat never post it? So again .....warm food.....onion bhaji not cooked.....and the rest was just tasteless....no flavour....only chilli! And you put the coca cola next to the food? Bad.....so I don't know why my review is not posted on just eat but I already complained. To be honest I ordered again just because of the reviews ! Very spicy food!? Way to spicy! I do order about the food and not about the polite?!!!!..So all together a BIG NO! I WILL DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND IT!?"

"Haven't used this place for around 6 years due to previous poor service but decided to give them another go yesterday. I ordered through Uber eats and received a notification to say it would be between 25-45 minutes. As it was a Friday night and I knew it would be busy I did not chase them until approx 90 min after placing the order, I was told they were busy but it was on its way, one of their drivers had the order and he would be another 5-10 minutes. Another 30 min later I called back again to complain, the guy was arguing with me as though it was somehow unfair of me to be putting them under pressure, food eventually turned up over 2 hours after ordering.On a positive note, the food was good once I'd reheated it in the oven, which took a further 20 minutes. Needless to say we won't be using again for at least another 6 years"

"The Inn is a nice place so should be a great experience. However the breakfast on the two occasions I’ve eaten there have been poor. The quality and taste doesn’t live up to the menus description. Granola Bowl was unexciting and fruit blend was bland. French toast should have come with ‘fruits of the forest’ the only forest fruit may have been blueberries (but they don’t grow there) NO blackberries, raspberries ETC. The ‘whipped lemon Mozzarella’ was a dry mozzarella ball with lemon rind. NO sign of any whipping going on. Sounded like it should have been light and fluffy. It WASN’T! Also the candied pecan was basically rock candy too hard to cut or even bite for fear of loosing a tooth or hitting another table in the crossfire. Eggs Benedict had hard yolked eggs, the Muffins where uninspired and the hollandaise didn’t have any zing or fresh taste. Previously I had an ‘American ’inspired bacon and pancake stack that was pancakes and floppy (non-crisp) bacon stacked in alternate layers. ANYONE who has had pancakes and Maple syrup stack in North American would not expect this. At best it would be crispy bacon on the side. I can only assume whoever running the menu/kitchen on that shift just reads a menu and tries to imagine what that might be like and mimics it without ACTUALLY knowing what it SHOULD be. As lovely as the staff and place ARE, I couldn’t go back for food"

"we have been eating here for many years and it is still the best Indian. during the pandemic we felt completely safe, we had temperate checks in the door along the hand sanitizer, tables had clear separated around them, paper menu that were thrown away... after eating is nice, freshly cooked and simply beautiful. the workers are like family for us, they are all working hard, always full of knowing about the food they serve, even in busy times, most nights, they have the time to help them. consultancy booking as it is so popular. mo is very professional, but still chatting and charming, all ladies love him. we would not eat anywhere else, thanks young for another great meal x"

"Firstly I'm from Leicester and I have worked at 2 of the top 5 restaurants in the late 80s. We walked in and the first thing we were told was we close at 2.30. man with stubble) From the start we were felt rushed. Then on asking if they do hot drinks I was told no but I'll come back to that later. He bought a straw for my granddaughter, after dropping the straw he still gave the same straw. This leads me to believe, if dry food was dropped it would still be served. I'm a reviewer and I do review good or bad. We had a different person taking our order older chap with less hair. He was more helpful and did not rush us. Food ranged average to below average. Prawns were very tasty. When we finish the first person bought my granddaughter chocolates. I paid at the counter to the third person. Just before I left I saw a coffee machine. I asked him if they did coffee and he replied with a yes. Originally I was scoring a 1. The person who took our order improved the score. If they don't want customers in the last hour they should close the door. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2"

"We have been coming to VITA for years as the SERVICE THE FOOD has always been TOP CLASS however our most recent visit was like being part of the cast in a episode of FAWLTY TOWERS.We were NOT GREETED on arrival as the staff were ARGUING about someone’s order.Eventually we were taken upstairs to our table to which had no cutlery on it and not even wiped down . We like a restaurant with a good ATMOSPHERE but not due to the fact not bothering to replace BLOWN LIGHTBULBS.There we’re just 3 light bulbs covering the upstairs. Eventually the table was set from retrieving cutlery from other tables. There was always lovely WHITE TABLE CLOTHS on the tables a lit candle and a small flower arrangement this is all been replaced by DIRTY TABLES. After about 20 minutes we were asked if we would like a drink. The selection of DRINKS is very POOR now . We were given our menus and made our selection. One of the meals was wrong. Parts of the meals were OF POOR QUALITY ie Italian sausage pasta meal is now ROLLED-UP MINCE MEAT. People on the other table were disappointed by the quality of there meals and their meal was wrong. At this point we couldn’t wait to leave. Then we were informed that it’s CASH ONLY. We couldn’t believe it my husband had to go outside and find a cash point machine. Seems to me you only want cash if your RUNNING THE BUSINESS INTO THE GROUND so that you can RUN OFF WITH THE MONEY and the TAX MAN doesn’t know where the money is . Normally we would go back to this restaurant as everybody has a off night but we don’t think it will be open much longer"

"this omni tee room makes a vegan afternoon tee you can book in advance. the owner is vegan, I think even though the tea room is still not served vegan food/drink. it is a beautiful place, small, but well created do as not be overcrowded. the staff was friendly and attentive without disturbing them. the tee consisted of: sandwiches (oatly cream cheese and gurke; avocado and sun dried tomato; sun dried tomato and rocket; and hummus and gurke all on beautiful soft brot), fresh skorone with jam and cocose cream, a cupcake (which they could choose from a selection) and on the top level a chocolate cake and a peanut butter / oreo dishes. the price was very good and we will be back. (we also bought cake to take home"

"First time eating from The Lemon Plaice this evening but would highly recommend it. Very impressed with the quality of the chips fresh, non greasy, and quite light and fluffy (with the odd crunchy chip). "The staff at this restaurant are exceptionally friendly and the tables are nicely spaced out. We tried the tasting menu and it was absolutely incredible and very filling. There is plenty of parking available outside. Despite the busy bar when we first arrived, the bartender served everyone quickly, apologized constantly, and had a smile on her face the entire time. We are excited to come back again."

"Hi we keep coming back give lovely pub staff a chance but food is not good.Tried a couple of months back with two friends one had a jacket potato that was old and cold,the other friend had fish and chips which looked awful fish greasy soggy which she left I had sea bass which was okay.Choosing potatoes happy yo pay extra who likes skin on chips surely ordinary chunky chips better option.My daughter gave you another try few Sundays food was still not good.If it’s cost put prices up it’s a wealthy area.food when opened was delicious.Have a look at Robin Hood Enfield.A chef’s recommendations menu I prefer to same food .Will definitely give pub another go maybe a Sunday lunch,Its such a shame lovely pub and staff so local to where we live."
