"The Chilli Chicken Combo is a rip-off; you're better off ordering the starter and chips separately. You'll get the same amount of food, along with extra chips, and save £3 in the process. The woman I spoke to on the phone tried to convince me otherwise, even while I was looking at the food in front of me. It's a pity because the food itself was quite good. Service: Takeout Meal type: Lunch."

"We ate in the ‘stable block’ so was quiet and easier to talk. Being Boxing Day it was a pre-order 3 course meal for £42 including a £10 pp deposit. Everyone enjoyed the food. Very tasty and nicely cooked. Only downside was names of what everyone ordered was taken down when ordering. But on serving the starter and dessert (Main was fine the staff didn’t know !"

"When we booked online it offers you the option to choose an outside table, we arrived and was offered a small table next to the toilet, we appreciate it was not the warmest of evenings but an explanation acknowledgment would have been nice. It was my partners birthday and could hear the toilet being flushed throughout the meal. A staff member manager had a better table then us and was watching sport loudly on a tablet in between getting the odd drink and several wines for himself. The food seasoning was good, however, the chicken was very dry and chewy. Happy with the advice on ordering and portion sizes and the waitress service. Overall, unlikely to ever return due to quality and ambience."

"eating is not too bad for the price they pay, and never really had to wait until it is long. the only problem that I have with the rectifier hzve is that they enter humans to smoke right in front of the entrance door as not smoker that I do not widh to go ghough these people smoke to win. So they think the owners of black and square pubs should see that named areas for smokers removed from the front doors. if this sorts my friends and I would use the pub more often when we live close"

"A charming establishment, this beautiful old pub offers some of the best pub food you'll experiance. Our family has visited this place for various occasions over the years, enjoying the great food and charming atmosphere. However, on our recent visit on the 29 December 2024, we noticed a couple of issues. The steak and ale pie, ordered by two of us, was not served as hot as we would have liked. Additionally, the rear room was a bit chilly, prompting some of us to keep our coats on. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"I enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch at this pub. They offer a great selection of roast meals, including turkey, lamb, beef, or a combination of these, although surprisingly there's no chicken option. The pub was quite busy, and the noise from the sports on TV did detract from the overall atmosphere a bit. However, the service was quick and friendly, and the meal was very reasonably priced."

"I recently visited a restaurant in West Malling for the first time. I ordered the onion bhaji and mixed grill as starters. The bhajis were mostly gram flour with a small amount of onion, and the mixed grill was dry, tasteless, and cold. It seemed like we were served leftover food from the kitchen. The manager showed no interest and three men stood at the end of our table, which was intimidating. I paid for our drinks, which thankfully were not messed up, and we left immediately. The quality of the food was so poor that I believe the restaurant should be closed down. As an Indian customer who has dined at some of the best Indian restaurants in the country, I was shocked and disappointed by this experience."

"We had a really enjoyable Sunday lunch at a restaurant that was recommended to us by other family members who had eaten there before. We were not disappointed at all! We started with a delicious curried cauliflower soup followed by tandoori cauliflower bhajees, a hearty meat platter, Yorkshire pudding, and crispy bratkartoffeln. On top of that, we ordered a roasted carrot and pork dish which was highly recommended by our family members, and it did not disappoint. The food was all very tasty and we will definitely be returning to St. Leonards. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who were not intrusive. We also heard that their breakfast and brunch menu is worth trying out."
