"We were disappointed there was only one other table occupied when we arrived at 19.30 for dinner as consequently there was a distinct lack of atmosphere. The prices of both food and drinks were higher than average. We had the Nights Skewer For Two which was delicious, but the number of chicken cubes far outnumbered the lamb cubes, which was disappointing. The accompanying salad was very good. There was only one member of waiting staff and it was not easy to attract their attention although they were polite and friendly."

"This used to be my favorite pizza place for a long time; the pizzas were always very delicious. While the quality of the pizzas is still good, I feel that they have started to prioritize cost savings over the quantity and quality of ingredients. They have removed any pizzas with fish or prawns from the menu (which were some of my favorites). They used to include a small tub of chili oil with the pizza, but now it seems like it doesn't come with it anymore. In the past, if I asked for no mushrooms but wanted sweetcorn or peppers instead, it was never an issue. Now, if I want sweetcorn as a topping, it costs extra, even if it's in place of another topping that was previously included. I understand that Covid has affected many food establishments, but this place has been consistently busy throughout the pandemic and has received financial aid from the government. I believe that prioritizing saving or making a pound here and there can do more harm than good. There are many other pizza places in the area, including two other authentic Italian ones, so I will be exploring those instead. If you are not a regular customer, you may still find this place decent as the food is tasty and well-prepared. The prices are okay but on the expensive side for just pizza, especially now that they charge for every extra topping."

"We went to this coffee shop at 3:50 for a coffee and asked the women working there (not sure of her name but she was northern) if dogs are allowed in, she said no so we said can we take a takeaway drink and sit outside. Absolutely fine. When I ordered my coffee she moaned that she had just cleaned the coffee machine and now she had to clean it again because of us. Then we sat outside at 4pm, she then said she’d have to take the chair cushions away as they’re closing- she was very very rude. We said you close at 4? And she said she was closing anyway. If the coffee was good I wouldn’t have cared as much. But bad service and bad coffee. Won’t be returning and I suggest you don’t either"

"Great coffee and the best freshly baked treats the custard and nutella croissants are incredible, amazing chocolate cookies, carrot cake outstanding and the little strawberry tarts. Maidenhead is lucky to have Bakedd, the owners work tirelessly day in, day out to offer the most incredible quality of product and the place is always packed!"

"Not impressed. Popadoms were stale, starters were fine but chicken pakoras just a fried fritter with hardly any chicken there was even a chip on the plate from the fat frier, obviously the chef doesn’t care too much! My lamb shank was terrible and barely edible, it looked black and grey in parts. Won’t be coming here again."

"Booked for lunch based on the on line menu, which was probably my mistake, in thinking that is what could be on offered, when you visit. We ended up with two beef dishes, which were rather chewy, so much so I had to pop along the road to purchase some emergency, dental floss at the chemist to restore my teeth. Strange welcome from a customer not the staff. Service was close to slow but pleasant. The other dinners were too loud and most were swearing far more than necessary than needed at lunch time."

"What a lovely pub. Had some friends coming from various places near London, and my wife and I were traveling down the Thames on Holiday. Found this place in a location good for all, and it didn't disappoint. We wanted somewhere we could meet up, natter and gossip and on top of that have some food and drink. This was supplied by the F&C and we had the chat and giggles we wanted. Lovely staff who looked after us, excellent pub meals and reasonably priced.....what's not to like. Thank you Fox and Castle for helping our evening along with your contribution of venue."

"With less than an hour’s notice, the staff at the Percy were able to give us a table for a midweek meal out. Although we’re only occasional visitors to the pub we were welcomed in like old friends and taken straight to our table. The owners and staff were brilliant as we’ve come to expect and the service we received was second to none. Despite being one of many tables receiving food, the ordering and service was fantastic with the bar staff popping into the kitchen a couple of times to check items on the menu. The food at the Percy was really well cooked and presented and a real credit to Nick. A fantastic ‘no rush’ evening in a friendly environment with owners who care about the whole experience."

"the ferry, as the name says, is right at the river. they have a small escaping area outside only in the river. beautiful in summer. in the area is also interesting furnished. beautiful place to the pub dinner. as starter we ordered: sticky platter. it was really nice, especially bbq ripening and lambkoftas. in the main we ordered: beef burger was one of good in england. Beef patty was handmade and not boiled over to eat hard. delicious! pork bauch pork was served with kartoffelmash and a light sauce over crispy bauch. Very good. "Have been here several times before as it is a great meeting point for me and my friends. I have never had a problem at this pub on previous visits, but today was absolutely outstanding!! Greeted by a lovely, welcoming, polite, smiling host called Louise. Ordered my beer as my two friends had already arrived and got theirs and sat with them in the garden area. We chose food, one had the prawn salad ciabata and a portion of chips, one had the scampi and chips, I went for the sausage ciabata and a portion of chips. It wasn't a long wait before the food came to table. The portion sizes are very considerable and I had difficulty eating all of mine which is a HUGE shame as it was delicious made with clearly great produce, which is definitely a big improvement on previous visits. The range of beers etc has also greatly improved. The outside of the pub now looks tremendous whilst the inside still maintains an oldie world charm, whilst being spotlessly clean and welcoming. It was also very busy Would I recommend this place? Definitely!!! Great staff, great beers, great food, friendly, clean and reasonably priced!!"

"Stopped here on Saturday for a spot of lunch during a visit to the castle, nice location but I have to say our Ploughman’s lunch choice was very poor. Everything was out of a tin, the couple of pickles, some gherkin, one slice of packet ham , so thin it was transparent, and tasteless. For over fifteen pounds a person it was very very poor value for money, my advice don’t go for it, avoid , it’s a rip off!!!"

"We went to the Queen Charlotte in windsor for a Sunday lunch, we were sat in the centre room. The pub smelt like dirty toilets, the female staff was lazy and not really bothered to pay attention to customers. There was plates on the table and empty glasses. The food was awful, tasted like the meat had been reheated, the veg was cold, the stuffing was still frozen, there was no presentation with the food. When we raised this concern, we were apologised too, but here is the worst bit, we was told that the meat was from last week as not enough roasts were sold the previous Sunday, so it was frozen to be reused. We was also told that the chicken pies are made from chicken roast which isn’t sold on a Sunday. This is disgusting and the food is not fresh. The place really needs a new manager or ownership because this isn’t the queen Charlotte we loved to go to this time last year. We would rather go to a dirty kebab van then eat it this establishment again. We do not recommend and we advise to stay away. If we could do zero star then we would."

"a beautiful place to eat with friends and family either outside or inside the pubs. the additional bonus of eating outside allows them to dinate alongside the thems in windsor with the background of the windsor castle. there is an exclusive area for larger groups in a glass-faced room that also uses the view of the river thames and the background of the windsor castle ideal for rainy, cold days. overall, eating is exquisite. drinks and food are beneficial for the opposite. if they are looking for quality, delicious food, this is an ideal place to eat on the mouth water. this place comes highly recommended and if they enjoy a food that eats food at its best, then this is definitiw the place to eat for a bite. plan ahead, as bookings must be one, so they are not disappointed. make sure they have the best place outside to enjoy this insight as they eat and drink."

"Our visit was ruined by dogs barking through our starters and part of our mains. We asked to be moved to a quieter table when we arrived but this wasn’t facilitated. The restaurant asked for feedback which I gave and was kindly followed up by the manager. He explained that it wasn’t a restaurant but a dog friendly gastropub. The dogs certainly seemed more important than we were. We love dogs and have a couple but were hoping for a dinner where we could sit and talk to each other. The food was nice."

"We had an absolutely shocking experience today at this place ! This is not the first time we've been there wheither for a drink or a meal , and we've chosen this place because we love it . Turns out today was the last time we will be eating in there . We've ordered and payed for the food at the bar and were warned that the food waiting is a half an hour which we haven't had any oroblem with as it's NYD and we weren't rushing anywhere . After half an hour the girl came to our table to tell us that there is a delay on food. We were already waiting for more than half an hour with 4 year old who was getting inpatient. So after an hour or so surprice surproce our food arrived . My chicken burger was literally brown from overburbed, the chips were cold my otherhalf's burger was burned and wrong burger . We just took the food back, we were refunded and left . Such an dissapoiyment to waste such time in there. Another thing the staff seemed to be kind and appologetic but they couldn't manage even to serve the drinksat the bar. I waited for my second round for 10 minutes and I gave up . The table next to us complained heavily as well , it was just not what it use to be . Another dissapoitment were the ladies ! I've never seen such shockingly dirty toilets !!!! This pub use to be a gem in town. Management and Landlord please pay attention before you loose all your customers ! Clean your chairs from stains , tables are sticky and the place oddly stank of piss . Not a good sign for a pub in a middle of town that use to be the place to go !!!!"

"for lunch and sitting fast, which was great. eating was quite good everywhere, I personally enjoyed the vegetarian French wobble soup, which was super tasteful and a great part, and my thunfisch nikoise was also great. a star is out for the service. while we were nice and answered our asking, our waitress did not check us very much and we were at 11:30 o'clock too foot and were almost too late for our 2:00 windsor lock tickets, because although we asked four times to pay our server, did not come by and just said that we had to ask and wait. overall, eating was good, the service could improve."

"the information presented on the menu were informatiw and explained that william nicholson, the greener of the pub, opened it in 1873. there were several places to sit and in different sections of the pubs. the salmon was beautiful and was a perfect part. the food is served on an interesting plate, beautifully presented and the sauce was delicious. the kartoffels were really nice. it is worth exploring the pub, especially below, which you should take the time to see, as this is the first time that I have ever seen such a thing in such a facility. the place was also very clean. the employees were attentive. we visited this place again, in the March 2022. I have the highest praise for the employees. first I asked a worker about a menu item. she talked to the chef (who I also want to thank). she knows what she does when she knew that not all cheeses are vegetarian. she also asked about allegiance that I thought was shown initiative. the beautiful woman with the multicolored hair was also there and she is just so nice and beautiful!"

"beautiful Italian restaurant! we enjoyed breakfast 'pre ascot ' a fantastic full English, that was very generous in size and really good quality! a perfect start to the day (especially after a 3 hour drive through the sunningdale. we returned after the races back and although there were 14 of us, they could still bring everything together. I had the lambskin that were really delicious. all in all, a great experience, the staff was super friendly, we will definitely return again"
