"We tested this restaurant which, according to some, was worth the detour.We were disappointed. we took the menu at 54 €/person and frankly the dishes were good, but the kitchen without research. with the meat, the accompaniment was a triangle of polenta on which an apple was placed with its red fruits, a spoon of celery purée and a chaplain with mushrooms. I mean, it's really any. It was missing more than the fagot of green beans! dessert had been announced as a sample of mignardises... it was actually a basic gourmet coffee without coffee! a mistled cream a little liquid, a banana ice ball on a little pie, a mini financier of the size of the first phalange of the little finger, a little something with salty butter caramel and a small sand (size of a piece of €2) on which was laid a small tip of chocolate mousse.As for the wine, we took a new castle from the pope to €48, it was not done at all. The chablis was too expensive as well. In summary, we think that the price of this menu would be more just at 28-30 €, the price we paid is not justified. a this amount, we can hope to get out of the table with a memory of something striking. We won't go back to this restaurant. Maybe we were too much illusion?"

"To start: One of my new favorite restaurants! We were here spontaneously on a Saturday evening, as we walked in the beautiful city of Wissembourg in the evening without reservation. First the shock... full or reserved, but we had the chance to have a table in the nicely furnished little restaurant. The waitress was very happy even with the broken French and explained everything in current German if something was not clear. The small menu (4 admissions, 4 flambées pies, 5 main dishes, 2 desserts) made the selection quite easy, and everything looked very tasty. The decision focused on a grandiose torched pie and the typical interpretation of the Surf'n Turf restaurant (in this case pork with mussels). We could've gotten into it, it was so delicious! In addition, a delicious wine, a wonderful atmosphere and an exuberant friendliness of hello to goodbye... And we're definitely going! We'll see this restaurant!! Thank you for the wonderful evening, dear team of the little Dominican!! (Original view) Zum Einstieg: Eins meiner neuen Lieblingsrestaurants! Wir waren hier an einem Samstag Abend spontan, da wir abends noch durch das wunderschöne Städtchen Wissembourg geschlendert sind, ohne Reservierung. Zuerst der Schock...alles voll oder reserviert, aber wir hatten Glück, doch noch ein Tischchen in dem kleinen, wunderschön eingerichteten Restaurant bekommen zu haben. Die Bedienung freute sich sehr über auch nur gebrochen vorhandenes französisch und erklärte bei Unklarheiten direkt alles in flüssigem deutsch. Die kleine Karte (4 Vorspeisen, 4 Flammkuchen, 5 Hauptgerichte, 2 Desserts) machte die Auswahl Recht einfach, wobei alles sehr lecker klang. Die Entscheidung fiel auf einen grandiosen Flammkuchen und die Restauranttypische Interpretation des Surf'n Turf (in diesem Fall Schwein mit Muscheln). Wir hätten uns darin wälzen können, so lecker war das! Dazu noch einen leckeren Wein, wunderschönes Ambiente und uberschwängliche Freundlichkeit vom Hallo bis zum Auf Wiedersehen... Und das werden wir auf jeden Fall! Dieses Restaurant werden wir wieder sehen!! Vielen Dank für den herrlichen Abend, liebes Team des petits Dominicain!!"

"The four stars are due to the Google system, because I can 't enter 4.5. It 's a shame, a bit of precision is lost and you inevitably do the restaurant an injustice. “During the week” there is an extremely inexpensive Menu Bistrot for €25. For the Germans in words: FÜFUNDZWANZIG. Three gears! Here you can get a rump steak without any side dishes... My wife and I had all variations, the photos are just my dishes. Starter: Fresh rump steak tartare in a generous portion, very delicately seasoned with Moutarde à l 'ancien and plenty of capers perfect. Main course Morel crusted chicken breast with French fries. You notice the price and the economic constraints, the crust would of course have been much tastier with fresh morels (in May... but let 's leave that alone). The meat was prepared to perfection, not a bit dry or fibrous. Nowadays, dessert would probably be described as a chocolate brownie with a liquid center. Served lukewarm. 1 liter bottle of sparkling water for €5, piconbière for €4 that 's again inexpensive. Wine list purely French, but covering the most important regions. Calculation fair, the wines are fine. But for something really good you can expect around €40. At some point the landlord has to earn something! It 's unimaginable to see something like this served in a tourist hotspot on the banks of the Lauter. The terraces are less attractive than the indoor bridge over the Lauter you can hardly see any of the idyllic sight."

"On the good side the pumpkin soup was quite good, but the remainder of the meal was awful and very badly served by a waiter who was rude. He needs training in customer service and just good manners. We had more help from another customer than we could get from the waiter and waitress. An all round horrible experience which cost us more than 70 euros."

We were quite numerous (12) and we asked to be grouped, the answer of the first waitress not to move the tables, they stay as they are. We show several times with the second waitress a little nicer, they tell us that this happens... after an hour the first dishes begin to arrive. The water carafe and the glasses (gentiment demanded several times) are still not there...the flambées pies are toned without blankets and the towels don't talk about this... my niece that had ordered a classic torch pie was served once all the rest of the group had finished eating. She wasn't even hungry after an hour of endless waiting. Friends of passage, even if the terrace is pleasant, pass your way, we are not welcome...Good listener."

"after over a decade to visit again in wissembourg. Unfortunately, this was local where I actually wanted to go, closed in the evening, so I chose "au petit dominicain". you speak French and German, very pleasant! I chose shrimpscocktail on avocado and a chicken in the many, from which I only see when it was the whole chicken. wow! but it was a small, delicate chicken, so I had to think again if I don't want to be more ordained when I saw the upwardly stretched wing. the thought did not last long, because I had hunger and had been waiting for the chicken for more than 45 minutes. it was tender, well seasoned and excellent.
