"We booked Sunday Lunch for 1pm, we arrived at 12.50 to a table of staff sat down giving us unwelcoming looks as we walked through the door. We found our table with name on only for 2 of them to shout over if we had booked a table. Once seated one of the young girls came over and asked for a drinks order, we had no menu to pick from and when we asked for a diet coke they did not have any. There was no diet drinks on offer at all, also asked for a J20 and they never had this either, bit difficult to know what to ask for without knowing what they have available. 1pm came and the carver started dishing up what looked like approx 15 takeaway containers, the waitress staff was then adding the veg to them. This meant we was sat for 20 minutes being ignored, an elderly couple walked in and was ignored so got up and walked out again when they got fed up of waiting. We had no idea how long we would be waiting and none of the staff was interested in serving us or letting us know when we could head up for the carvery. I got up to take a look at the carvery selection only to be pounced on ready to be told to sit back down until I said I was only looking. After over 20 minutes had gone by we decided to go online and book a table elsewhere. The staff member who looked in charge was taken aback that we was leaving but said we did not have to pay for the drinks. The food looked nice and good value for money but the service has to be the worst I have ever experienced. Needless to say we will not be returning."

"We went to the restaurant on a Sunday and they were offering Sunday lunch. We were hoping for something light to eat but ended up having a full meal instead. The service was friendly and the location was great. We sat outside and had a relaxing and enjoyable time. We overheard a customer complimenting the waitress on how perfect his beef was, saying it was the best he had ever had. It seemed like everyone enjoyed their meals, although we had already eaten a full English breakfast earlier. Service: 4 Location: 5."

"The Plough is our local, and we're lucky to only be a few minute's walk away. We had dinner there last night and it was delicious, as usual. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food is great. There's also draught Shere Drop, a massive selection of gins, and Ruby the dog!"

"Had Carvery for the first time at this pub and was great value for money with a choice of beef, turkey and gammon which I tried all and they where lovely. Veg was lovely especially the broccoli cheese, though I didn't have all the...veg as im not a fan of peas. Would highly recommend."

"I was travelling alone saw the indow sign for sunday 'banquet ' 4 courses [actualy 3 fo £10.95. I walked in the waiter gave me a look like i 'd yrod in something and walked it thru his resteraunt. I was wearing jeans a smart t shirt so its unclear what he didnt like about me. I asked for a table for 1 for the offer and he said You have to pay cash for that . As if i looked like i could not afford to pay. I said thats fine and he sst me in an alcove with a stairs over my head. Only two other tables were in use. I asked if non alcholic beers were avaible and as not i had a diet cola with ice. I ordered a prawn puri starter whivh was served with a small salad. The bread was crisp puffu, the prawns sweet tender in a delicately spiced sauce. Perfect. I asked for Lamb jhalfrezi main with tice psid extra for a plain naan. The waiter heated up the main dish at the table on s camping stove on a hostess trolley. Dinner Theatre! The meal was served in a ballti pan on a skillet ring. I should hsve asked for a plate. The lamb was sparce, just 3 pieces, loads of onion two thin strips of green pepper a couple of green chiles. Perhaps you get more when nit ordering the banquet but tnis was a measly serving. The rice was fluffy , the bread flufy and tasty but i would have liked some tandoor char on the back. I had pistachio kulfi to end which was pleasant. Each dish was cleared as i finished it. On paying, another waiter stated the fee then took mmy £20 note, put it in his pocket turned to speak to another cudtomer who just entered. I stood there immobile until he went to the till to make my change . I can hardly believe he just assumed a £4 tip without waiting for me to give it. ****** cheek! Overall i have never felt so unwelcome poorly treated in a resteraunt, the food is good but service is terrible. I won 't be going back. What is wrong in droitwhich?"

"Since it wss my birthday we decided to have a meal from Cardamon. Ordered on the new online system which was easy. Meal arrived piping hot just before the time I requested, which was really good. All the items were there and the two meals were delicious. Not sure where my 10% online discount went. But never mind I really enjoyed the meal. I will be back again."

"This is the first time I have written a poor review of the Bevere cafe after visiting several times without complaint. They have provided lovely outside seating areas in and around the chalet style outside kitchen. It's hard to understand why, post coronavirus restrictions, the food is still served inside paper bags and drinks in paper beakers, this would be acceptable if their pricing reflected this. It's not cheap. Surely plastic plates would be an alternative. It was fairly breezy today so it was a case of hanging on to the paper bag as you ate together with the napkins. It's not a picnic we went on. The sandwiches we chose were made with ciabatta bread, this was not crisp, but soggy just like poor quality white sliced bread. Coffee was good. Service friendly but takes an age to get simple food."

"Plus points… lovely olde works traditional pub with lots of character and cosy inside with stone floors. Staff pleasant and courteous. Nice place to be in. Negative points…. The menu is expensive leading to high expectations which are not met at all. I ordered the pizza but they had no dough left, so had the pasta in creamy mushroom sauce. I got a bowl of overcooked falling apart pasta with no noticeable sauce or mushrooms. It was tasteless. Yet cost £16. I could do better at home for under £2. I sent it back and had loaded fries with cheese and bacon topper instead. Cost £7. What arrived was a bowl of runny cheese sauce which contained some fries. Of course all the fries were soggy and wet. There was no bacon I could see. I’ve never known loaded fries which were not fries with a topper before. This was more like cheese soup with fries as croutons. I also sent it back as inedible. I gave up at that point. Food also took a long time to arrive…. 45 mins. Such a shame as it’s a nice pub let down by overpriced terrible food. Other people had other dishes which they thought were ok…so maybe I just got unlucky"

"We went to Nelly's Yard today for lunch, the place looks lovely and everyone there was really friendly and welcoming. We took our 4 week old daughter and she was quite happy there too, it's a nice comfortable place to breastfeed which I appreciated! We had tea and paninis which were really good followed by a huge piece of cake each. We'll definitely be back again soon and it will be our go to place in Droitwich! Looking forward to seeing what events and activities you have planned ahead!"

"Although we are not regular customers, we have used this restaurant several times over the years and unfortunately, our most recent experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered a takeaway and the staff member confirmed my order, but upon collection, I had to repeat it again. When we got home (we don't live in the town), we found that the spare ribs were overcooked in some places but still edible. However, my main meal was not what I had ordered and my husband's dish was so overcooked that it was inedible. When I called to complain, the person I spoke with suddenly claimed not to understand English, which made the situation unnecessarily difficult. They suggested we return the food, but since we live far away, this was not practical. No apology or compensation was offered. Overall, the food was revolting, overcooked, and overpriced. We will not be returning and I would not recommend this restaurant to others. Very disappointed."

"What I can we say, amazing we arrived at the express by holiday inn as having to travel to collect son from the Army. We had brought a packed lunch as wasn’t sure what to expect my husband rang the restaurant on the off chance. The lady was so lovely and very accommodating who said she would cook for us even though they were quiet, we did not know what to expect. My husband went over to collect the food and she was so happy and lovely and helped him get money from cash machine in post office next door. We were blown away by the food sag paneer was gorgeous cauli bhajee and veg damask mushroom rice and chapati. Something that was spontaneous was the nicest Indian I have ever tasted I wish we lived closer. Thank you to the lady who made our essential trip nicer by being accommodating and delicious food well done guys and good luck if we have to stay here again on any collections we will be calling you straight away"

"When we arrived we were asked if we wanted to leave our coats but were then ignored and left to hang them ourselves. Not a big issue but much worse was to follow. We asked to have a drink in the bar before dinner but were not shown to a table. We eventually found somewhere to sit and went to the bar to order drinks. We C were told to sit down as they provided table service. After more than 15 minutes no one had come to take our order so I went back to the bar where I was told to go back to my seat and told that someone would come straight away to take our order. We waited another 5 minutes and were just about to leave when a waitress came to take our order. We waited another 5 minutes for it to be delivered at which point the waitress came back to clear the empty glasses that had been left on the table by previous guests. After a while we were asked if we wanted to order more drinks but when we said we would like to go through to the restaurant now the waitress just walked off. At the dinner table we waited another 5 10 minutes before being asked if we’d like to order. When a different waitress brought the drinks she gave them to the wrong person and my partner’s wine glass was covered in red wine in the outside clearly there had been a spillage on route which had not been cleaned up When i ordered a second glass of wine it was delivered to my partner who already had a half full glass of wine whilst mine was clearly empty. There were plenty of staff around and some of them knew what to do but waited to be prompted whilst the other staff members appeared not to have been trained properly. Overall the service was very disappointing given the reputation and pricing of this restaurant"

"We were looking forward to a nice meal in the lovely setting on their terrace. However, after placing the order we were told 10 minutes later that they could only offer pizzas and things done on the grill; no starters or anything else on the menu. 10 minutes later we were told it was fine and we could have what we had originally ordered. When my wife's risotto came it was burnt. We pointed this out to the waitress and she said she'd tell the kitchen. There was no apology and no offer to replace it and we were charged for it even tough my wife could only eat a few mouthfuls of it. They clearly had an issue in the kitchen the evening we were there and even my son observed how grumpy all the staff appeared that evening. We stayed for the night and I'm pleased to say that breakfast was a much more pleasant experience."

"We went with friends for a meal, it was our first visit since it has re opened under new management. The last visit around a year ago was terrible so I was excited that it had been taken over and very much looking forward to the evening. Myself and one of our friends had the sharing fish platter which was amazing and the meals our other friends chose were also excellent however, not once did anyone bother to come and check if everything was ok or if we needed more drinks. A young member of staff eventually came over to ask if we had finished and took away half of the plates and didn’t come back, what seemed like an age later another member of staff brought a dessert menu and that was our chance to ask for another drink, we ordered our drinks and she brought the desert menus also, as we couldn’t decide what we wanted she said she would come back in about 5 minutes, she took the rest of the plates away and then didn’t come back! One of our party went to speak to the manager on duty and told him that we had really enjoyed the food but we’re not happy with the distinct lack of service and said we felt like there should be a discount on our meals. He agreed that he would give us a discount and then called some of the staff to have a word with them. After that we just got sly looks from the staff and no one bothered to come and speak to us or see if we wanted anything else. We went to ask for the bill and when another member of staff came with the card machine she was quite rude. Somebody had mentioned that there was a party of 30 in but on a number of occasions we saw groups of staff standing behind the bar just chatting. I was hopeful for a new local pub where we could go with other friends however, we will not be going there again or recommending it to anyone"

"The pub is beautiful, but lacks energy. The staff is lovely, but the lack of customers is concerning. Perhaps a change in ownership could improve the situation. The entrance through the back door or restroom is off-putting. The garden is nice, but could use a more luxurious feel. Some tender loving care could really make this place shine! The food and service both receive a rating of 3, but the atmosphere only gets a 2. I recommend trying the Sunday lunch."

"Fantastic place to grab some lunch. On arrival I was warmly welcomed and provided directions on how to order etc. I explained I was meat free and they immediately presented lots of options, explaining that they make everything fresh so can easily create something to suit.
