"We are fortunate to have Rations located less than half a mile from our home. Despite the name conjuring up thoughts of shortages from the World War II era, Rations in Thornton is far from that. The standout item at breakfast is the Rations breakfast box, which includes two sausages, two strips of bacon, two eggs, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, and two slices of toast. The portion is generous and absolutely delicious. There are also various options for barmcakes and batons to choose from.
At lunchtime (or any time of day), the sandwiches are made with either barmcakes or batons and are filled to the brim. From cold meats, fish, and prawns to hot beef with onions and turkey with stuffing, there is a sandwich for everyone's taste. Additionally, they offer panini as well. The experience is complete with crisps, soda, and delightful homemade cakes.
