The service and quality of the tinderbox is outstanding. Every visit is superb the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing lunch and every item on the menu is a true delight

I have been to this place a few times for lunch and always get fabulous food with great friendly service. There’s always a specials board and I cannot fault the quality and taste of the food they serve here.

This was my second visit to Tinderbox. A lovely quirky, friendly and aesthetic place. I ordered a Sausage Egg Wholemeal Bap which was divine, as was the coffee. The price is very reasonable considering the great standard of food. I’ll be back........ Visualizza piatti

We called in for a coffee here as it was very close to the train station. It has a pleasant interior, the service was very friendly and we enjoyed two good quality flat whites. We sat at the front of the café as this was quieter area away from the kitchen.

The staff at this cafe were unwelcoming and unfriendly, leaving us feeling uncomfortable. It is disappointing because the cafe seemed nice. The food was decent, but we had trouble ordering as the menu was hard to read on the walls and the staff did not provide any guidance. It would be helpful to have more vegetarian options. Overall, I wouldn't come back due to the unfriendly attitude of the staff.

After hearing plenty of positive reviews me and my partner decided to give this place a try for lunch.We got a seat outside and I headed in to find a menu, I stood around looking lost for a moment as no staff member even acknowledge me. Eventually, I managed to find my own from a spare table.I believe table service was in operation but after a wait I decided to try and order at the til. Me and another customer waited over 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us or even arrive at the til. We placed a rather simple order of a prawn sandwich and a BLT.Now, this cafe has no more than 20/30 seats available so isn’t overly busy yet we waited 25 minutes, not for our food, but to be told they had no... I came in today to treat myself to a solo lunch. I have been dealing with an enormous amount of stress recently, as my sister was taken into hospital and has been very poorly. I asked for a diet coke with ice, they don't have ice, so I asked if they could pop it in the freezer for 5 mins as I like my coke very cold. Which they did. Started ordering and there was no help, no warmth, just I'll have to write this down, wandered off and never came back! My coffee arrived with no spoon or offer of sugar, asked for sweetener twice and eventually received 10 mins after my coffee. This restaurant lacks any customer service skills. The owner is incredibly rude, and this behavior seems to have rubbed off on the young staff as well. The service was slow, and we had to wait a long time before being offered a drink. There were no menus available, and when I asked for one, the owner just pointed to the walls where the menu was posted, but it was difficult to read from where we were sitting. I hadn't visited this restaurant in a few years but decided to stop by today. It appeared to be busy but there were a couple of available tables. I initially looked for a menu but then realized that the menu was written on the walls. I had to get up from my table to read the menu, but I had trouble seeing it because people were sitting in front of it. After finally deciding what to order, I tried to get the attention of a waitress but was ignored several times, even though there seemed to be plenty of staff around, with at least 3 employees chatting by the coffee machine.
