"Seemed like a nice place when we walked in and were seated. Food and wine menu was extensive, including selection of cold meats and cheeses which we were looking forward to sampling. However, right after placing our order, we noticed the cook coughing away in the kitchen without taking any care to shield the food he was preparing. We mentioned it to our server, who called out the cook, who in turn explained he wasn't sick, but just had a bad case of seasonal allergies however, allergies or not, he still shouldn't be coughing over the food he is preparing. I had a word with the owner, who was accomodating enough and allowed us to change our order and switch out our salad and cheese plate items (which was of particular concern for sanitary reasons). We proceeded to consume our meal with some trepidation. Questionnable food handling aside, we did like the taste of their Red Radish Gnocchi (big portion which we split). The Beef Filet with Stilton had very attractive presentation, and tasted pleasant, but the meat was medium rare (apparently they didn't understand us when we asked for medium well) and a little too chewy for my liking. I'm willing to concede we might have tried them on a rare bad night for the chef, but needless to say we probably won't be going back."
