"I was looking for a place in Trastevere where my Canadian friends could experience a mix of Roman tradition and innovation: Proloco succeeds, albeit with difficulty, in this undertaking. The pizzas and boiled meatballs are loved by all, the first courses are excellent, the gricia with artichokes is definitely worth trying again, but the desserts and the location are lacking (despite having a lot of potential). I appreciated the explanation in English given by the waitress Alessia, who was able to explain the details of the menu and adequately advise my friends. I will return, hoping for an improvement... "infinito grazie alla tana del capriolo, sono venuto a mangiare in una bella domenica di gennaio. per me, mio marito e il mio bambino di tre anni è sempre complesso da mangiare in montagna come vegano. siamo spesso trattati male, come non normale e un po' gonfiati. i proprietari erano gentilissimi e accoglienti e si preoccupavano che i nostri piatti non fossero conditi con burro. Ho mangiato polenta con porcini più buono della mia vita, con una bella farina rustica e saporita. verdure grigliate che fortunatamente non sapevano di carne e poi immagino cucinato come si dovrebbe in una griglia separata. porzioni abbondanti, sapori vivi, vibrante e freschezza. Congratulazioni davvero è sempre bello quando anche se lontano come filosofie della vita sta rispetto per il prossimo."

"Yesterday, accompanied by my brother, we decided to have our first experience in a starred restaurant. it was a mystical experience because being the first time, we really didn 't know what to expect but the expectations we had created as soon as we entered the restaurant were greatly exceeded. As soon as we entered there was a very graceful, soft air with an energy that only a fantastic place with a view of the sea can give you. At the entrance we found the restaurant manager who, together with his colleagues, guided us during this experience and explained to us the reason why certain dishes were paired with certain wines (all of which was clearly in the spirit of discovery because we didn 't know much about it. Initially I had the classic belief of leaving the restaurant with an empty stomach , as many people say but in reality, following the philosophy and the steps we left full but above all overwhelmed by a feeling of pure satisfaction. For people who are meticulous and attentive to detail, you can look for attention to detail in everything (from pet-friendliness, to the impeccable care of the bathrooms and the elegant service provided at the tables). To tell the truth, when we got to the end, it was pleasant even paying for dinner for the service they offered us because it gave us unique emotions"

"Sono capitata in questo bistrot quasi per caso, in una serata caldissima, giusto per stuzzicare qualcosa di veloce e bere una buona birra fresca, prima di rientrare. La prima impressione è stata buona sia per l’accoglienza dei ragazzi sia per l’ordine e la pulizia che regnavano fra i tavoli all’aperto e quelli nella saletta interna… ma anche per il secchiello di arachidi che ci hanno servito appena seduti. : Il menu è quello tipico dei pub (stuzzicherie, hamburger, insalate, crostoni, dolci, oltre ad una buona selezione di birre , ma c’è anche una buona proposta di taglieri, primi e secondi piatti che non ho assaggiato, ma dei quali ho potuto apprezzare aspetto esteriore e impiattamento, mentre venivano serviti agli altri tavoli. Accompagnati da una buona birra alla spina rossa, ho scelto di provare un hamburger, patatine fritte “dippers” e straccetti di pollo impanati e fritti, accompagnati da salsa barbecue. Cottura della carne giustissima, ingredienti di buona qualità, tempi di attesa più che ragionevoli. Sebbene io continui a pensare che 9/10€ per un hamburger sebbene di buona qualità siano un po’ tanti, di recente ho riscontrato che questo è il costo medio nella maggior parte dei pub. Pertanto, direi che i prezzi sono in linea con questo segmento di locali. Un’ulteriore nota di merito va alla musica in sottofondo: pop anni 70, la mia preferita! : Tornerò per assaggiare altri piatti."

Starter: nothing special, the cold cuts are of very low quality.. First courses: amatriciana, poor but overall passable bacon, pici artichokes and spekc... no flavour.. For the seconds if that was braised in red wine... I'm the virgin Mary... so don't talk to her about the strips, it was a mass of meat thrown there on the plate, overcooked and with a sour aftertaste. It's not nice to have to write this, because the staff, the service, and the place are really nice... I recommend changing the chef.... I apologize for the spelling errors... "RAINING MEAT BALLS I was in this place at the beginning of the week, in the early evening, there weren't many people, we were served immediately. Difficulty finding parking. We tried medallions with burgers and craft beers produced by them: excellent experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, especially the cured meats attendant. I took several cold cuts to test: remarkable, both for the quality of the meat and for the minimal presence of salt. Highly recommended! Excellent value for money. Packaged sausages, not recommended. When paying, the cashier enjoyed throwing meatballs taken from the butcher's counter at a customer's dog. To show gratitude and ask for more meatballs, the dog stood up and repeatedly placed his paws on the counter. He is certainly a regular customer because the environment was familiar to him."

Simple, the costs are high in proportion to what you eat, after all it is a tavern with typical dishes. And unfortunately it follows the absurd Apulian trend of increasing prices which is starting to scare both tourists and locals. "Total failure! Full of anticipation and very hungry, me and my family decided to eat at Dongio after a long day. We had a bit of know-how about southern Italian delicacies and are generally fans and connoisseurs of Italian cuisine, but what we got couldn 't be described as cooking . Every dish was carelessly prepared and the spices were missing! There was no hint of salt or pepper in any dish. There was no sign or taste of onions or garlic! I wish we had taken a picture because the meatballs were not balls but rather chopped up unseasoned lumps of ground meat. The pasta dish with aubergine and ricotta was neither seasoned nor seasoned in any way. Regarding the service: The atmosphere was tense, we felt unwelcome, the dishes were not explained to us when we asked and they wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible. It was noticeable that the establishment was sinking into chaos. Which waiter picks his nose in front of the guests?!
