"disappointed as much as the hype for the place was high. not bad, but given the reviews, the IG page, and various opinions collected here and there, I arrived at the place full of expectations. Let 's start with the appetizers: donut-shaped omelette and Genoese gyoza. the presentation and the idea of the omelette are very nice, but what matters is the tasting and unfortunately it didn 't immediately give a good impression. the breading completely separated from the rest and the inside was not creamy, but more tending towards pasty. Despite this, the flavor wasn 't absolutely bad, but it 's not an omelette worth trying. The parmesan cream that accompanied it was good, however. Genoese gyoza are fried and here too the idea is good, but it is lost in the final result. too dry, not enough filling and above all: where is the onion? one person at the table believed it was with pulled pork and not Genoese. there was only meat inside and it didn 't happen in just one, but in all. Let 's move on to the sandwiches now. the choice is wide and many combinations are well studied and captivating. However, I don 't understand how it is possible that by ordering on a Wednesday evening at 8.30pm the chicken breast is already finished, and I don 't understand why it says hamburger on the menu (or even when the waitress came to warn and propose alternatives). of chicken if in reality it is a BREADED, FRIED product and above all which has nothing of a hamburger feel to it, but rather a larger nugget. despite this blow, trust is not lost, but as regards the same sandwich in question, it also arrived incorrectly, with unsolicited ingredients (the sandwich had been made). they fix it quickly. the famous chicken burger which was actually breaded and fried, among other things, had the breading soaked in oil and somewhat ruined the rest of the ingredients. bread, bacon, baked potatoes and everything else was good. the good quality of the ingredients was also noticeable in the other sandwiches, except for the scottona. my partner chose a sandwich with scottona, but: either she was served other meat, or the quality was low, because the flavor didn 't match in the slightest. the fries which were taken separately because only some sandwiches include accompanying fries (but they are like five in cash), no big deal. overall it 's a good sandwich and a good place, above satisfactory, but not by much, in fact there 's no need to return, just having tried it once is enough. "The ambiance felt more French than Italian, but it was lovely. Dark wood. Deep reds. Low light. It made me want to eat red meat and ravage an Italian woman. We adjusted our American expectations for European style service. They don 't fuss and fawn over you in Europe. You gesture and they 'll come, otherwise they leave you be. To those complaining, don 't be such an entitled American cliche. You 're in their culture. Adapt or whine. As for the food, let 's just say that we did a few days in Rome, then went to Amalfi, and then one night back in Rome, and this was both our very first and very last dinner during our trip. After our first time, nothing really compared and we knew we had to go back before our flight home. Everything was excellent. The Tonnarelli Fatti in Casa Cacio e Pepe was so good. The Spaghetti Cavalieri al Tre Pomodori e Burrata was amazing. The Rigatoni Cavalieri alla Carbonara was sensational. Seneffingsational. All of the pasta was perfectly al dente. Also, the bread basket was fresh and offered a selection, including a nice focaccia. We devoured 3 whole baskets, because carbs ftw! I had a few of the drinks, but on their Summer Drinks menu there was one called the Fresh Clean, and it was so refreshing after being in 100ºF heat all day. I had several of those. Several. SEVERAL. I don 't have a problem. In all, I 'd give this place an A+ (with extra credit because they actually fried up the pork cheek in the carbonara a bit, giving it a delightfully crisp-but-chewy bacon-y texture). Also, the prices were literally half of what they are here in NYC, where overcooked pasta will set you back like 28 bucks a plate. Granted the portions were also European and thus half the size of here in the U.S.f, which we loved (because I 'd rather order and pay for less food), but of course other Americans on here complained because they 're used to obesity portions. Again, stop being cliches. If you 're in Rome, go here. Don 't listen to any other review, you listen to me. It 's right around the corner from Trevi Fountain, so you can kill two birds with one stone. And invite me. I needs ta gooo!"
