"On Mondays, this group serves lunch in a space called Le Bar a Vin up the street. The waiter gave me a glass of lovely Valdostan white wine, and I sipped and looked at the amphitheater ruins. My first course was Seupa , but I kind of misunderstood the dish. It 's croutons (not out of a bag) with onions and greens in a dark broth topped with local cheese. It was fantastic. But I ordered lamb chops and potato puré, also great but not an ideal pairing (my fault). Everyone was very nice to me, and to everyone I saw them interact with including some really pushy/confused tourists. As to some of the complaints here, I think with two courses and wine I paid 45, which I think was pretty fair considering what they must be paying for lamb and energy right now. If cost is an issue, have one course; I saw some others do that and no one said boo. If you can 't read enough French or Italian to order, there are plenty of other places on the street with picture menus. I know Italian and can read a little French and I still ordered wrong... life is short, be thankful you are in Aosta and they are cooking for you and take a chance. Grazie mille!"
