"What a disappointment! We went on the recommendation of someone we knew. We were asked on arrival if we had a green card , which as US citizens we had our vaccination cards instead, so we quickly showed the guy. The server, bartender immediately said we were to sit outside, which we did. A bit disappointed, but we obliged. At this point there was no one in the restaurant, we got there right when they opened. It was a bit chilly (no heaters), but we figured this is such a fabulous restaurant we don 't mind. We waited for 10-15 minutes (remember NO-ONE) was in the restaurant. The guy totally ignored that we were there, does he hate Americans or just having a bad night? We 'll never know, because we got up and walked away, totally not happy. I think we 'd still be sitting there if we didn 't leave. Wish I could review the food, but when you get a very bad vibe entering a restaurant you don 't want to make an already bad experience much worse!"

"It looks soooo nice and I was super excited to spent my afternoon in this dreamy restaurant. I discovered it on instagram (as a travel tip). When we arrived at 14:30, we wanted to have a drink. Unfortunately the waitress replied to us, that they are a restaurant and we can go somewhere else. Well, I would understand, if it was lunch or dinner-time, also, if the restaurant was full. But they had a lot of empty tables. I didn't felt welcomed. Maybe you can make next time an other decicion and welcome guest, who would love and feel very greatful to have a seat in your restaurant."

"I came here for lunch and it was phenomenal, absolutely no complaints at all. My family each enjoyed every meal. I would suggest the lasagna or veal osso buco. I came back here for dinner and the service was terrible our waitress never came to ask how our meals were after we were given the incorrect meals. She also broke the cork in our wine which we picked out of our glasses with our fingers. The food was also not great. She gave us a steak even when we didn’t order it, Amatriciana had zero Guanciale and was just tomato sauce, veal was terrible, food was salty, our pasta dishes had “mystery meat”. Great review for lunch when the clientele seem to have more locals. Avoid for dinner when you are seated on the tourist side of the restaurant and fed mediocre meals."

"A great small street food focused pasta restaurant. There's usually a queue, and it's not open as late as some of the other restaurants in the area. But it's absolutely worth it. We went late the first night and we're told they may run out of pasta before we get in, so returned the following evening. It was lovely. The host has a great attitude and is very funny. Only upstaged by the pasta and the staff inside. I'd recommend any of the pasta dishes, all are fresh and you can taste the quality of the ingredients. Portions are generous and you won't go hungry with a pasta dish each! It's a quick stop for food (once you're in) and worth the visit."

"We came across this bistro by chance, looking for a postman where we could stop for lunch during our first day in Rome. What to say? A wonderful discovery! "This is a very small restaurant located quite far away from the main harbour. Staff were friendly and food was okay, but definitely overpriced. My partner and I were very keen to visit this restaurant after reading some amazing reviews, however, we were disappointed when we arrived. The restaurant’s website claims it to be the most romantic restaurant in Italy and 6th most romantic in the world, however this is a bit of a stretch. The restaurant is very small, accommodating only around 6 tables in total, 5 of which had a sea view. Since we visited for dinner, we couldn’t appreciate the views very much as it was dark outside, but I imagine it to be lovely during the day. The food was pretty good, my partner ordered the lasagne and I had the shrimps (I thought I was ordering prawns as stated on the menu, but I was presented with shrimps). The lasagne was very good, but I was far from delighted with my seafood as it wasn’t as was described on the menu and was simply overpriced. Albeit, I thoroughly enjoyed the tiramisu, and ended up getting another! The website asks for a €40pp deposit when making a reservation, which can be reached rather comfortably, however this restaurant is not ‘high end’ enough to demand such high deposits. There are plenty of other restaurants in Amalfi serving cheaper food, in more convenient locations with no deposit requirement. Overall, I didn’t have a terrible experience, but it did not live up to the standards I was expecting after reading so many raving reviews about it. It essentially felt like I was sat in someone’s living room that had been rearranged to look like a restaurant with average food and cheap table/chairs etc, making this experience far from ‘the most romantic dinner’."

"FOOD YES, SERVICE NO We came to this tavern for lunch in a group of 7, convinced by word of mouth. The welcome was more than good unlike the table service. The main problem arose when ordering, we were told that it was impossible to order 7 different first courses as we were in a Roman tavern . We find it absurd that this had not been made known to us immediately, so in the end we opted for 3 types of first courses (the choice could have been between about a dozen different first courses). When we were the first to arrive, we found a hair in one of them, we decided not to point it out after returning from service and due to our lack of material time.
