"The waitress appeared unhappy and poured a whole bottle of wine into the glasses. It seems she could use some training on pouring smaller portions of wine. The beetroot panna cotta starter was disappointing, as one of them lacked color and flavor. When we mentioned it, we were told it was due to it not separating properly. The ice cream tasted low quality. We also ordered bread and oils, but the starters arrived before we could even start on them. It would have been better to wait until we finished the bread before bringing out the starters."

The food was terrible, I didn’t get a drink till I finished my meal. The salad leaves on the starter were brown, the potatoes on the lamb main weren’t cooked, and actually were not potatoes.

The food did not meet our expectations and tasted more like typical pub fare. Both the restaurant and the lounge had a pub-like atmosphere, which was quite disappointing considering it was part of a hotel.

The drinks did not arrive at the table until after we had finished the starters. The starters were poor. The crab cakes were deep fried, extremely fishy mush and the cheese croquettes were deep fried cheesy mush with no texture. The main of belly pork was nice but could have been seasoned as the crackling was tasteless. The apple pie was nice. The staff were very pleasant. The menu made it sound like it was going to be a culinary delight but it was far from it. Breakfast was very good the following morning.
