"This was in times past a little gem in Ayr a perfect place for that romantic night where you could have a beautiful night but sadly our latest experience told a very different story, A table of four sitting right next to us shouted, screamed and used very foul language all night. When they left several tables were glad to see the back of them. I mentioned to the manager that I was disappointed they didn't have a word asking them to keep it down. The manager said they didn't hear anything which I don't believe as they place really isn't that big. It ruined out night and we regret going which should not be how you should feel when going out. Its really disappointing and we would think twice about going back if this is the type of customers they want to attract"

"My daughter and I ate from the Christmas menu here on Monday. We both had chicken tempura for our starter which was so delicious. I had the turkey for my main. The turkey was extremely tender and the overall presentation of the meal was first class. My daughter had the burger which she thoroughly enjoyed as well. We both then had the chocolate fudge cake for dessert. This again was absolutely beautifully presented and tasted amazing. First class service from the hard working staff and just simply a special Christmas experience. The restaurant was also beautifully decorated and just added to the charm of the occasion. I honestly would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. I’ve ate here a good few times in the past and have never been disappointed. Well done to all the staff and compliments to the chef for their superb food. Merry Christmas to them all."

"Worst place to dine out i have ever been too. It was so loud you had to shout to be heard. Service was nearly none existent booked table for six no service till about half past dinner rushed as soon as fork hit plate dishes lifted the different waitstaff to order for dessert and another brung over card machine so just left utter rubbish place would not recommend to anyone"

"We visited this restaurant to try out the two-course lunch menu that was advertised, but upon arrival, we were only given the a la carte menu. When I asked the waitress about the two-course menu, she informed me that they did not offer it and showed me a small sandwich selection on the back of the drinks menu as an alternative. Despite seeing a steak deal promoted on social media, it was not mentioned or offered to us during our visit. Interestingly, another table asked for the set price menu and promptly received it. When settling the bill, I mentioned these discrepancies and was told that they were trying to promote their new a la carte menu but would have provided the set menu if requested. This lack of transparency was disappointing, as the food and service were satisfactory. Although the restaurant had a nice interior and an outdoor play area for children, the communication and presentation of their menu offerings left much to be desired. I spoke with the manager about my experience, and received a brief apology. Unfortunately, I am unlikely to return, despite the restaurant's appealing features."

"Had a quick stop in Ayr before heading the the boat. We stumbled across this place completely by accident and we weren’t disappointed. Luckily, because we were early, they were able to squeeze us in before a fully booked evening. The service was brilliant friendly and efficient. The food was outstanding; the cauliflower and halibut were especially good and we were impressed with the portion size for small plates. We would have taken a photo but we ate it too quickly. When we’re back in Ayr, we’ll definitely be coming again."
