Good food but service is shocking. Unrealistic time frames given so you turn up to collect and then have to wait another 40 minutes, without an apology or update. I am assuming it was the manager or owner who took my money without even a thanks or estimate on food. He literally said nothing apart from the total. Completely rude. "Once again this friendly local pub in the centre of Plaxtol Village provided us with a first class mid week supper. Their draught beer £5.80/pint) from Longman 's was beautifully kept and every mouthful of hop flavoured ale was perfect. It was very cosy in the small dining area adjacent to the bar as the log fire was blazing on this very wet Storm Babet night The beef and Suffolk blue cheese croquette with horseradish sauce £9.00) was delicious. Hot crispy crust with a wonderful savoury middle had to ask for more sauce which quickly arrived. The salmon rillette £9.00) was also enjoyed as a starter. I had the Thai green curry £17.50) with chicken again) and was not disappointed. Lovely medium hot curry with tender chicken pieces and rice, perfectly cooked, with a slight bite. Other enjoyed the Chicken Ballotine £19.00) which was stuffed with spinach, cheese and rolled in Parma ham. When it came to desserts, most of us were too well fed to tackle anything more than a digestive ice cream at £3.00 per dollop and really good. We liked the Picpoul de Minet £32.00) and large glass of Tempranillo £7.80) The food is in a class above mots other local restaurants and pubs so should command greater support!!"

"This pub is a delightful spot with delicious food and a wide variety of options to please everyone's tastes. I highly recommend trying the torn buck and hamcake, served on creamy maic with a delicious sauce. The cozy atmosphere of the building would make for a charming home, making it feel intimate even during busy times. The outdoor garden is perfect for dining al fresco or enjoying a drink, and there is even a playground for children. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I am thrilled to live just a minute's drive away from this wonderful pub!"

"menu was been delivered by post, so thought to give it a go, food was delivered on time and all the dishes was horrible, the most disappointing was the papadum and they was so oily and gristly it had seeped through the white paper bags, and there were dips missing, no dips was served, shockingly bad, and even all of the papadums taste as they was cooked a week before, as a starter we ordered onion bhaji, they was under cooked, can still taste raw flour inside onion bhaji, absolutely disgusting again, and both the chicken tikka masala taste amazing but only the sauce, meat was under cooked, such a shame, and finally which was more disappointing all the rice was cold, not even warm, need to heat up in microwave, rubbish food,We will never order from this Indian again especially as there are so many better ones in the Sevenoaks area. Do not order unless you want rubbish food!!!!!! It would have been better, ordering from some where else."

"There was 15 of us for Sunday lunch. Couldn't fault the food there was plenty of meat veg etc. It was quite expensive for a Sunday roast £25 £32. Starters were expensive too average around £14. We were all squashed onto a long table made up of about 5 uneven individual tables if you wanted to leave the table at any time the person sitting next to you had to move. The service wasn't to bad. No salt and pepper on the tables we had to ask. £25 for 2 beers glass of wine and a coke. We had a nice time. Would I go again. No Would I recommend. Only if you can afford to pay the expensive prices and if there's only a small party of you"
