I have never been disappointed by Café Royal. The atmosphere, live piano music, and food are always wonderful. I have visited three times now and would highly recommend it to others.

What a stunning place to enjoy an afternoon! I took my daughter here for her birthday, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. From the moment we arrived, we felt very special. The food was beautiful, and the staff provided great recommendations on the courses and teas. I would definitely return.

The food was a new menu fantastic flavours. We had one Gluten Free menu and 2 normal menus. Both menus were almost identical, which for GF is great. There was a vast selection of teas, and great recommendations from our waiter for which one went with which course. The sandwiches were lovely, our favourite being the coronation chicken. The sorbet was refreshing. There were two different jams and thick clotted cream perfect with the scones. And very delicate pastries to finish, with a suggested order in which to eat them. Staff were very attentive and knowledgeable.

This was my second visit to Cafe Royal. The first time was about six months ago when my husband and I received a gift voucher for afternoon tea. We had the Jubilee afternoon tea and it was fantastic. We were very impressed with everything. This time, I went with three friends to celebrate their pregnancy. We had the regular afternoon tea. I was not as impressed this time. The staff was friendly and attentive, but there were some things I didn't like. Due to the pregnancy, we could only eat two out of the four sandwiches offered.
