Having had the old Afternoon Tea menu I was looking forward to trying the new Afternoon Tea menu. Well we were left disappointed. The cakes were nice, the sandwiches were ok. Please bring back the old Afternoon Tea...better value for money.

Afternoon tea has never disappointed, I've been there on several occasions. Food is delicious, tea was plentiful and the table was decorated with balloons and sparkles as it was my birthday (which I was not expecting). Staff were lovely, I even took my balloons home!

English breakfast tee is in the grunde pg tips pyramid tee bag in a fantasy tea pot when we sat next to the kitchen and could see this with our own eyes, as my father in law pointed out what was a bit embarrassing as I had treated him and mine man and raised this place! £22 per head and they add a service fee, all they did was bring us a potte and a cake stand? the cakes were very sweet and a nice selection. to be honest after I paid the £72 bill, I felt a bit robbed and would have taken it to dinner for the same money I spent (lection learned). I was a little embarrassing, because they are not impressed at all by the afternoon tea experience I can add, they are not fussy people in general.

The afternoon tea itself was lovely! Especially the scones! They were delicious! Was lots of food and plenty left over! Would definitely recommended. The only let down was in all honesty the service. You get bought over your food promptly and asked for drinks. But the drinks on offer are never explained, we were never asked what type of tea we wanted and only realised there were different options after. Throughout the meal we had to ask the waitress for drinks and were never checked on. When you finish a 10 percent service charge is added to the bill...I would preferred to have been given a choice to pay for service as really there is not much service. They just bring over the food and drink...
