The cakes were visually stunning and delicious, although they were very sweet and contained a lot of white chocolate. Probably the best deal on The Fork! We had the Kopi afternoon tea and it was absolutely sublime! Portions were perfect and so delicious…there was a wide variety of teas to choose and the scones were freshly made. Service was attentive and polite, sheer perfect hospitality…also for 50% of the afternoon tea menu, absolute bargain!

We had a lovely time at The Orchid Lounge. The staff took extremely good care of us from the moment we arrived. We were particularly impressed with Matthew the tea sommelier, who was very polite and personable and really made the experience for us. Delicious food and tea, would highly recommend. Also, special mention to Isabella in F&B reservations who kindly allowed us a last minute change due to illness.

My friend and I decided to try the Lunar New Year themed afternoon tea, and we had a wonderful experience. We were seated by the fireplace and found the atmosphere and chairs to be very comfortable. We both loved the food and the way everything was presented, especially the delightful little cakes at the end. The restaurant offers unlimited tea with a good selection and fast service. The dining experience is elegant, with candles used to keep the tea pot warm. The tea itself was fine. We ordered the Asian fusion dish, which was tasty but consisted of four small appetizers, two main dishes with sauce, and five mini desserts. The portion sizes were small and did not provide enough to feel satisfied. The staff were excellent, professional, and efficient.

Frist of all there was no booking under my name, and we had to wait to be seated with a young child with us so a very poor start, no one came to offer us drinks or take a order whilst we waited! Once a table come up and we were finely seated the table service was shambolic to say the least, the time from takin g the order and arriving at the table was far to long over 40mins, no one came round to poor more tea, we had to repeatedly ask over and over again for service, also the children's sandwiches were poor with out butter etc and very small for £35 per head. we have often seen cherish judge on bake off the professionals so were interested to see what she had to offer for afternoon tea. great staff. fantastic baked full of taste without feeling overwhelming, but sugar. conveniently located near liverpool st train station. interesting selection of tees. at the top end of the price scale for london afternoon teas but even my man (which is not a big fan of afternoon tea) thought it was a great two-hour experience. the only two little negative were one of the Chinese savouries that we both felt was blanching and the seats the orchidee lounge is just that, a lounge and as such the chairs are quietly low, they are not sitting on a table as in a restaur...
